- Tim Walz and JD Vance went head to head in their first ever Vice Presidential debate, broadcast live on CBS.
The debate was praised for being much more substantive than the Presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump just last month, with a much deeper dive into policy issues rather than personal jabs which characterised the Harris Trump debate.

That woman who chose to go down the route of “how dare a man talk over them because they’re women” is an embarrassment. True equality is having the uncomfortable conversation regardless of gender and speaking your piece. That’s what a debate is. And if they’re going to fact check him, which they agreed wasn’t going to happen, then he had all the right to set them straight. He would’ve done the same if they were males. True equality.
The argument of playing victim in a moment like that is why it’s so hard to be taken seriously as a woman. Nonsense like that keeps ruining our reputation.

This must be the last debate where the biased corporate media supplies the biased "moderators." Republicans need to learn from so many past events that the corrupt corporate media won't change their stripes. From now on, all debates should be moderated by members of the league of women voters, or two select senators or congressmen, one from each party, or two independent journalists without connections to the corrupt corporate media. Fortunately, Vance overcame the ambush handily, and handed Walz his lunch, but this biased nonsense must come to an end.

My first thought was 'Wow, that moderator didn't tell me the whole truth when giving that fact check!' And from that point forward it put doubts in my head about anything else the moderators said.
