(U touch u die) seems like a The Verge pun xD
"Remember to use the insulating pads so it doesn't short circuit"
Corsair actually has had a 3d print for the full ATX PSU bracket for some time and it is smaller than the one shown. Not that his custom one is bad just different.
can u pls answer me? is it a good idea to use a top fan as intake and exhaust it with an 92mm aio so i have a cool processor? and will the gpu have enough cold air from the bottom or do i need to install 2 slim fans to have it a little bit beter?
so glad I found this channel. this is a gem. the content DOES feel honest and well produced. Subbed
Thank you!! Except you spelled “Ahnest” wrong :p hehe thank you!!
I've basically got the same configuration as you do. I actually managed to fit a second fan up top with the PSU in the SFX position. I dealt with GPU sag by putting a couple of lego pieces beneath the GPU to keep some pressure off of it. It took a bit to get all the cables managed properly but it was very much worth it in the end and the second fan helps big time in keeping the insides nice and cool.
I'm in love with the NR200
It's a sweet case!!
Much like the Lian Li Dynamic 011
nice video. a couple of things i learned working in my nr200 was if you mount the psu bracket on the sfx slots and use the included velcro straps, you can flatten the cables of corsairs sf750 along the entire footprint of the psu and tuck excess cable length under the front panel. this will take stress off of the gpu and allowed me to install 2x noctua nf-a12x25 up top. Another thing I learned is with 2.7 slot gpus such as your 3090 or my evga rtx 3070ftw3, is a 20mm x 20mm 3d printed calibration cube works perfectly as a gpu support device. This allowed me to place 2x noctua nf-a12x15 fans under my gpu. with this configuration, my gpu fans rarely spin more than 10% while gaming which makes for a dead silent system.
This is awesome!!!
I love my NR200, picked it up as a placeholder while I waited for a low production ITX case to come in stock, blown away by this case and have no intention of replacing it now. I have a 5950x and a 3090 XC3 Ultra, 5950x PBO 4.54Ghz all core peaks at 84c and the 3090 at 71c. I have 6 case fans with an Arctic Freezier II 280 AIO. 2 slot graphics cards allow enough room for standard thickness case fans on the bottom. My 3090 is cooler in this case than my ATX case.
nice nice!!!
thank you so much for this video. havent been able to get my hands on the nr200p max and seeing all the extra mods people made for this case has me sold on it. i have the 3950x and a 3090 strix. i know these components are high power consuming but having a smaller footprint is what i am wanting now
Nice!!!
With some spare time it is 100% worth getting the 2nd top fan in and adding a side intake, your temps might actually be lower with the sides/dustfilters on with the extra 2 fans. There is enough room to tuck the cables away without them touching the GPU, even in the lower PSU mount. I have my GPU power cable slack tucked in the frontpanel. I'm also using a Corsair SF750.
Have you compared temps? I saw the performance of my slim fan and I was like eh this is worse than with a single fan!
@@Ahnestly My air cooler blew air towards the motherboard, so I'm not too sure about a tower cooler. I have an AIO now. My GPU is 2 slots with 2 full size bottom intake fans, most of the GPU heat blows out the bottom 2 inches of the side panels. Maybe with your massive thick GPU a deshroud with 2 full size fans would do the same thing and blow most of the GPU heat out the sides. I had better temps with the 2nd top exhaust because the passthrough part of the GPU heat would get sucked out the top. An AIO will probably make the biggest difference to get the ideal air flow throughout the whole case. Great video, cheers.
If I knew there were ATX PSU brackets available, I would have stopped looking for a case hours ago. Thanks for the vid man!
Ohh glad it helped! Let me know how it works out!!
Great video. But I wouldn’t recommend using daisy chain with the ASUS Strix. I purchased custom sleeved cables to minimise clutter, and make sure the 3090 has individual 8 pins. There have been a lot of reported issues with 3000 series cards and daisy chains.
This is a great video thanks for the amazing coverage it really helped me decide on my fan configuration
I'm glad! thanks for the kind words!
Wow this is by far 1 of the biggest gpu I have and still. Amazed that it fit into the np200p Nicely. Great build!
that man went from lian li xl to nr200 itx build
Lolol naw just the standard Lian li. I've still got her...she gets less use for sure but I edit on 2 rigs!
great video, man. honest, informative, spontaneous, funny.
subbed :)
I appreciate it!!
Him: "I dunno what material the front panel is but it's not plastic... maybe aluminium, definitely metal"
Also him: proceeds to explain NZXT's *magnetic* puck is the best headphone stand.
Lol my metallurgy is weak. I legitimately dont know which metals are magnetic.
Have a very similar setup, but Intel w/ Mugen rev.b. I'm going to have to switch the fan on the Mugen to pull air from the rear to see if temps improve. Temps are already pretty good, amazingly, considering the small form and an inexpensive cooler.
Love this case and pleasantly surprised by Scythe. They will definitely be considered in future builds after my experience with the Mugen.
Which CPU and what temps you getting? Looking at this for a possible build myself. Thx
Still trying my luck on getting a 3080/ 3090 since around end of 2020. My NR200, as excellent as your video review has shown, is now sitting at a corner collecting dust.
Waking up at mid-night for in stock alert and entering Newegg shuffle daily already....
Ouch! Check out microcenter discords. Might be worth sitting in line for 24 hours versus trying to beat bots!
Crazy you haven't been able to get your GPU yet. I've had the 3080 since October and wish you get yours soon!
I got a more recent Cooler Master SFX 750 and 850 watt and they fixed the fan curve. No issues with them so far!
When I have money again, I definitely am going to be building a similar setup in the NR200P, and was actually checking out the Fuma 2 already. It should work well for a 5800X/5900X load, I imagine, if the 5950X was mostly good.
Niceee!
if i’m not mistaking, cooler master does provide on their website a 3d printable atx psu cage
They do! I think they did it after they saw the demand
You may consider the 240w tdp holding 130cfm 140mm fan Thermalright Silver Arrow 130 CPU Cooler.
jup that's it. I'm gonna get one. Thanks for this fantastic video. I would have liked to see the case a few more times with the sidepanel on in different environments though :D. Gonna put in my 5600X with a 3060Ti into it.
I'm just not sure if I should get the variant with the glas sidepanel
Just do what I did! It's like $15 extra!
Do you think Fuma 2 maintains good temperatures on a 5800x?
For sure!
I'd say that the CPU fan set intake was genius.
regret didnt skip classes alot more
I am running a 280mm rad on the side of the panel while having only exhaust though the top. ryzen 5900x + 7900 xtx sapphire pulse. The temps are great, but i would maybe in the future change to air cooler cause i think it is still noisy with a pump and rad and the inside temps seems fine so far, but I am still not sure which air cooler fit this ?? Noctua NH D 15 ??
With regard to the fuma 2 fans being intake from the rear, did you end up just flipping them from the original configuration?
@Ahnestly You can't upgrade to 128GB of RAM on two sticks DDR4. Max capacity for non-server DDR4 RAM i 32GB per "stick". Higher capaciteies are comming with DDR5.
Oh man, I just assumed theyd have 64gb modules for some reason! Thanks for the heads up!
@@Ahnestly Np, you can albo check your motherboard specs. it should be also written right there
@@Ahnestly How is 64GB ram holding up?
Great video! So much useful information. I'm going to buy NR200 for my 5950x. What CPU cooler do you recommend instead Scythe Fuma 2? It's quite hard to find the right one that fits into the case.
Will I be able to fit fans at the bottom? I have 4 spare LL140s from corsair but I don't know if it will fit.
Yeah you can do fans but depends on how beefy your gpu is!
Hello ,
You mentioned that screwing in the slim fans in the top is not possible.
I was able to do this and its pretty easy. Just leave the rubber rings in the top of the case and use those to thread the fan screws in (best to use ones that have a wider head)
I did this for 2 Noctua NF-A12x15 fans and they are secure.
Just sharing for anyone that would like to use this method!
Oh that makes sense! Did you buy long screws for your fans?
@@Ahnestly they're a bit longer yeah. mostly wider. As far as I know you have 2 types of fan screws and one is a more beefy kind and that's the ones I used
Thank you very much. Another great video. I'm picking up/Amazon the SF750 for RTX 3080 Ti FE & 9 5900X. I think I'll be good to go. As soon as I find someone to build it for me. Yes... I'm chicken. ;)
Great video… I also watched the build vid as well. Quick question, I’m having difficulty finding a third PCIE to PSU cable for the SF750. It comes with two CPU cables which doesn’t make a ton of sense on an ITX build which SFX psu’s are catered too as I’ve yet to even see a recent ITX MOBO with more than 1x4pin CPU power capacity.
Which part number did you purchase for the cable on the video card? I’ve looked at Corsair’s site was a little confused on the charts. Thanks in advance.
Not sure why you need a third pcie cable? Each pcie comes with 2x connectors, and you need 3 connectors at most, so one of the connectors on the pcie won’t be used. Hope this helps!
Oh yeah..waiting for this one...Nice
So I was looking if you linked the atx mount for the case, find the "Very cool NR200 Accessories" link... I dont know why, but they sell some curious photos. Cool vid, have a nice day!
Bro, how tall is aircooling heatsink? Is that really not possbile to use 158mm height of aircooler?
My problem with the NR200 is that there's no way to try out Intel 12th gen because there are currently no ITX motherboards. If it had one more slot available I could probably squeeze the Asus Prime B650 matx motherboard into this case.
How big of noise difference between the Corsair SF and Cooler Master SFX PSUs? I am stuck with the V650 SFX right now and the fan curve is driving me nuts. I don't really want to to go through the RMA process because of how long it will take to get another one. Great video, thanks.
People have told me they have no issues with the newer CM SF750 SFX and 450 SFX. Just buy from a place you can return it to JUST in case!
I think the temp spikes are inevitable for the 5950x . I have a custom water loop and they are still there. It might be just how the processor functions to sustain single core high frequency loads.
That's good to know!
Hello. My question is, will it support mounting 2x 92mm fans at the rear or if not will 2x 80mm fans fit? Can you measure total distance of the mounting holes so I know what 2x fans will fit? Thanks! Btw - Cool bro me & you are using the same motherboard! I haven't built mine yet is why I'm asking about mounting those fans to the rear. I need to know what size fans I should order. Monitor your power supply 12v rail by using the sensors in GPU-Z, monitor the rails min max. If it droops below 11.750v load then it's insufficient power capacity.
Not with the air cooler unfortunately.
Hey where can I get some help on my build , I’m having issues with my 3090 temps
have you tried putting 2 fans under the GPU ?
really good video!
rear air pulling setup looks cool but wouldn't it also pull so much dust as well?
Yes and no - the case is super easy to open so it's really easy to clean out!
I have a noctua NS12 exhausting my cpu air + a 120mm noctua above it, also exhausting air, 2x slim fans under my GPU (3080ti TUF) and it's way cooler than using the CPU cooler pulling air in, since the side panels allows air in using negative pressure.
@ahnestly did you pig tail the 3rd slot for your 3090 or did you purchase an additional PCIE cable?
this case seams to be more well rounded for ITX then some of the others. I do like the Q58 tho but LianLI is a pain and you cant get parts for it case now.
is it really that power supply 750 watt is enough to run all these performance
When i bought the case, i bought the silverstone sfxl 1000 watt power supply. Its bad lol. Where the wires plug into it, the plastic housing for each clip sticks outside the metal housing of the psu itself by almost .25". And the cables are stupid stiff. I returned it and got the 650sfx from coolermaster cause its all they had at the time. I dont think i have the fan issue on it but i dont pay attention anyway cause my case fans are always at 100%, and i keep my gpu fans at 70%. So its loud anyway lol
sick builddd
So are you using 3 separate cables for the 3x8 pins on the GPU. Or are you using the cables that came w/ the SF 750???
I am just using the stock cables that came with the SF750
@@Ahnestly I was worried if it was ok to just use 2 Y cables and let the extra daisy chain one just hang? And if just two cables was enough power delivery for high power GPU like Stix 3080 OC.
Your Videos are Awesome!!
3d print some taller feet. Put two 120mm fans underneath the case. Your gpu temps will drop by 10 to 15 degrees and be silent.
Deshroud would be better
@@v9m-n7n I have tried deshrouding with 120mm noctua slim fans. Cooler master 120x25mm and Arctic p12s, and 3x noctua 90x25s, Both with and without a 3d printed shroud designed for the Asus 3080 tuf. Performance was absolutely appalling with all variations and went above 85 before throttling. However my 3080 undervolted and rock steady at 1950 runs at the minimum wpm fan speed of 55% on stock fans with two Arctic p12s at 500 rpm. It is utterly silent. And tops out at about 65 under max gaming load at 1440p in a 165hz gsync monitor. In my extensive experience deshrouding is garbage. Many others have different experiences, particularly in the ncase m1 such as optimum tech, however many others like me and gearseekers find it much much worse than standard. As to why I have no idea. I wonder if it works better on some headsinks than others. After spending many hours and quite a bit of money, my 2 cents for what it's worth. Never deshroud.
@@radicalturkey what version of gpu do you have? I heard, that MSI's heatsinks are not optimized, if you have fans on exhaust. I also tried it on my tuf 3070, results were pretty good. Also, i left a little space between fans and heatsink with some tape, for better airflow. I dont really know, how it works, but it works. When i did it without space, it worked not well, juast little better, than stock. But with gap it worked amazing. Heh^ im rusiian, sry for my bad english)
@@v9m-n7n Interesting. I have the 3080 tuf so the same heatsink as you. Maybe I should have tried exhaust, but I don't see how this could work better than intake. It seems crazy to me that huge 120mm fans taped to the headsink can be worse than the stock fans but I am obssessed with pc hardware and testing components and I spent days and days trying it every way and it was just terrible. This was with also no bottom panel at all with the case on its side so totally free airflow, it was still terrible. I now have a system that is as silent as water cooling, so I am happy enough.
Hi, thanks for your video,
1 question please, I have the Asus Rog Strix 3090 OC edition, Is it the exact same size as the non OC edition in your build?
So I'll have no problems in terms of fitting this into the NR200 case?
Thanks in advanced
Yup it’s the same!
@@Ahnestly THANK YOU!
great video. I have just built my nr200p with the fuma2. I can't seem to fit the fans up top that came in with the nr200p. The cage hits the cooler and makes noise when it spins up...
Hi great videos as always ,I'm going to do a build in a lian li air mini case cpu will be a ryzen 9 5900x also will be using a be quiet shadow rock 3 ,will this Motherboard be good ,any help will be appreciated, I may also water-cooled yet but we will see thanks
CREME DE LA CREME LET'S GOOOOOOOO
LOL this is like a live Twitter update. I love it
i love this, but i dont wanna ditch my custom loop. Will go O11 dynamic, since the 011 mini would force me to change my new psu and motherboard
I think the 011 mini can accommodate ATX parts no? I was considering it but wanted something smaller!
@@Ahnestly yes, but it can't fit all i have in mind with an atx. On top of that, i have a new seasonic atx psu and it would be a shame to replace it just to get that case
@@Ahnestly the mini supports atx mainboards but only sfx psu's
I also love that case, too bad my arctic freezer 34 cooler is preventing my side panel to fully close on my nr200
is it possible to get x2 2TB NVMEs on that mobo?
I believe so! Make sure you check the specs!
@@Ahnestly Thx, 4TB is better than 2 lol :P
Would be possible to do the same with 12900k and DDR5 memory ?
I'm trying to see if these guys can send me these parts...hopefully it'll work!
Your GPU is strix 3090 which is 318mm, can a MSI 3070 suprim x which is 335mm fit in nr200 vertically?
It fits
You can remove the steel frame at the bottom to help you fit the big fat GPU in there.
could the jonsbo cr-2000gt cool a 5900x properly?
also this video was uploaded on my birthday :)
Have you tried the revised V850?
so it won't fit a atx psu? i already have one
It will if you get an adaptor. Cooler Master sells one now apparently
Hi! I have a question, how exactly do you connect the PSU with the GPU? Looking at SF750 it only has 2 PCI-E outs and two CPU outs, how do you get the extra PCI-E out?
So pretty much every PSU comes with 2x PCI-e cables, but they way they work is the PSU side of the cable is a single connector, but on the other side, you get 2 6+2 connectors. So if you use BOTH pci-e cables that come with a power supply, then you would have 4 6+2 connectors. You only need 3, so you connect 3 of them and the 4th you hide like a nasty pimple on prom night :-)
If you watched my build guide of this PC, I actually bought a custom pci-e cable to a single 8pin connector so I wouldn't have to use the stock pci-e cable and hide the other connector. But, it turned out that that cable kept my PC from booting (they sent over a replacement, but I haven't had time to test since it's specifically for the V850 SFX!)
@@Ahnestly aah I see, so those connectors will provide suffient effect even if they are split? Thank you for the reply! 😊
Yup
Really wanting to put my 3700x on air instead of a 240 rad. Would love to see the inside of my case instead of just a giant metal rectangle... lol
Lolol I hear ya. Although there's something about the black noctua coolers that can get it
I didn't mean to make that sound as dirty as it did, but too late now
@@Ahnestly sheeeeeeeeeeeeeesh Noctua can DEFINITELY get it
Are you using pbo 2?
I think so!
i'm not quite ok with the magnetic headphone holder especially on this case where some SSD can be mount behind the front panel :/
I don’t believe magnets affect ssds, or at least, you’d have to do a lot more than just leave a magnet on the case for things to go bad
Have you tried if there is temperature difference with tempered glass and mesh lid?
Tempered glass will for sure make temps suffer. I didn't try mine out bc I knew I didn't want it for this build
Lol he said life savings for the GPU, really is
Hi, does the glass side panel clear the Scythe Fuma 2 ? Thanks.
There is gonna be very slight contact (1mm) with the glass!
How to fit an rtx 3090 and cool a 5950x in a itx build
1. buy an nr200/nr200p/nr200p max
2. done
Приятно смотреть
Yaaaassss
DEEP DIVE
Funny how all these builds being posted are 3090. The ability to acquire a GPU is difficult and the cost of the 3090 makes it easier to get because people don’t want to pay 3500-4000 for one. When they started Discord channels for notifications on 3090/3080 the totals on people trying to get one were far out of balance and the 3090 had significantly less people wanting it versus the 3080.
Ive had this 3090 for quite some time! But totally agree with your assessment
@@Ahnestly yeah, I wanted the 3090 Regardless of what models came below. When they said the 3080 was a 12gb card I turned my nose up to it. Had a 2080ti and RDR2 max 4k settings ran out of video memory and shadows had to be reduced. It also happened with Watchdogs 2. So I was fortunate to get a 3090 Founders Card for MSRP at launch and I traded it in with a friend of mine who owns a shop locally that had the EVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra and i’m a lot happier with it over the founders card. The Nvidia card is a brick with little software support and it’s bland looking.
I’ve always been partial to EVGA GPU’s too. Now I await the stock email from EVGA for another 3090 to Link them. I’m more into video quality than massive FPS myself. I’ve got a CG937K Predator Monitor and switched to the LG 950B 4k 144 1ms screen. When I manage to get a second 3090 i’ll pickup an 8K OLED panel to take it one step further to the top.
does the scythe fuma 2 fit with the tempered glass on?
it will work yup but with some motherboards
asus b550i /b450i
asrock b550i
will Noctua NH-D15. fit inin this case eith two fan???
Not sure! Run a quick search and you’ll find out very quickly!
So, I gotta say, the TimeSpy scores are weak. I have a Strix 3090 that's OC'd and hits 22K on Timespy. It's paired with a 10850K. Without OC, it should still hit 19-20K on TS.
Those were my overall scores, not the gpu score. Gpu scores were just under 20k at 19778
@@Ahnestly Overall score is a bit weak then as well. I don't think that 5950X is performing up to snuff. I know it's more powerful than the 10850K, but I hit 14.6K on CPU (20K overall). You should be around 18K overall non-OC.
how should i orient a cm hyper 212 cpu cooler in this case with 4 case fans? (2 at bottom for intake and 2 at top for exhaust)
Same as mine! Intake air from the back of the case!
@@Ahnestly i see thanks. would you recommend getting a dust filter in the back then?
No, it’s so small you can just carry it and spray it pretty easily!
Hey im using aio cooling x63 kraken and silverstone 700 power supply Which is SFX-L and i could set only one cooler on top cuz of the SFX-L size also on down i couldnt size fans under the graphic card so basically i got one cooler on top and 2 coolers to aio is it gonna be okay? Or should i definietly replace the power supply for SFX normal size so i could probably fit 4 coolers not one
Since you're using an aio (assuming fans on side), you should be ok!
@@Ahnestly yes i have 2 280mm fans on aio, Ty your anwser, definitely leave subscribe, your like the only RUclipsr Who had answered a question, ty very much im more confident now and safe :)
@@Ahnestly Sir i have 2 coolers 280mm on aio is it okay? Is it what you had on mind saying asuming the fans on side?
Yeah gpus have excellent thermals in this case since it's drawing fresh air from underneath and same should be the case for the aio. One fan up top should easily be able to disperse the heat!
@@Ahnestly Thank you very much great news, gonna watch some of your videos, great content :)
You don't know if it's steel, or aluminum, but you stick a magnet against it? :)
Lol my knowledge of metals is really poor.
@@Ahnestly No worries. I just thought it was funny. Great video by the way. It's really helping my purchasing decisions.
how would you upgrade to 128 ram?
I don’t believe you’re able on an itx mobo
Well im a little bit later but... you know you can put your PSU in the front? i mean, on the SSD side there is holes to put the PSU bracket and you wouldn't need to remove the fans.
I have my SFX-L in the front and no issue with the 2 fans on the top, also no issue with my 30cm graphic card.
Hm if you put it in front, doesn't that starve the psu of air?
@@Ahnestly The fan is looking to the processor, so its taking the air of the case and throwing it up out of the case through the top fans.
I fighted a lot with the top fan and the graphics when i build it, 1 hour later i saw the holes on the front who makes all easy
There is how it looks
ibb.co/5M7hz49
ibb.co/s2Qs1z5
ibb.co/74M2bwr
That case not having type c on the case itself is a deal breaker. Still waiting for the Revolt 3 to come out.
Yeah man it's a little annoying haha
How do you get your hands on all these parts holy fuck
So I got the 5950x by using a theory of mine..I’m on a discord called stockdrops and sometimes, they’ll alert people about amd.com coming back with stock of cpus and gpus. But their website is so terrible that I’ve noticed they don’t alert properly - when one item is back in stock, most of their items are back in stock, but you don’t get a notice for those items. So one time, when we got a notification that the 5600x was in stock, I went straight to the 5950x page and lo and behold, I was right. For the 3090, I’m reusing my 3090 from my pc that I build like 6+ months ago! It was fairly easy to get a gpu using stock drops 6-9 months ago!
bruhhh
Wow, your keyboard is annoyingly loud, you must not work anywhere near anyone else.
i wfh full time :-)
mau review case apa muka dia sih . gk ngrti gw
Sorry I don't understand. Google translate is not great
you play games like my friends, can hear the damn mouse clicks through their microphones, yall are fucking weird xD
I find it difficult to watch a build we’re virtually every component is bought from Amazon. Amazon = No local jobs = no community.
Totally get that. From my end though, it’s this: amazon pays creators a tiny portion of things their audience buys, which helps fund these videos. No funding = no channel. Newegg sucks and robs creators bc their affiliate program sucks (I’ve made $12 total after 4x pc videos with over 150,000 views, which makes no sense). Not saying you have to watch or buy anything from amazon, but just wanted to offer another perspective
@@Ahnestly Fair play, I really think Amazon’s relationship should be exclusively with YT via advertising , you should not feel impelled to have use/buy their products for your revenue. YT should pay a reasonable amount based off views watching your content with included advertising.
