    Thanks for the video. I'll not comment on price one way or another, like some have. I don't reload to just trying to save money on rounds. I don't really care if I save that much or not. And no, I'm not loaded with money. I'm retired now and just enjoy the process as I'm sure most serious reloaders are. Thank you again for sharing the information it was very interesting.

    I shot IPSC matches for five years. I fired thousands upon thousands of rounds of 9mm and .38 Super. I used new brass for my match ammo, of which I shot lots. I never resized it. It was absolutely unnecessary. I did run it into the mouth expander in the charging die. This flared the mouth of the case to facilitate seating of the bullet, and insured that the case mouth was round. I never had any issues with cases due to not sizing them.

    • @jesseboutdoorsreloading
      @jesseboutdoorsreloading  24 дня назад +5

      I’ve actually had bullets push down into the brass from not resizing new brass. This is something I ran across. Since then I always resize new brass. It’s one of those you do what you want to do. I’ll always resize so I don’t have to waist time fixing things. Thanks for watching.

    • @7come11two
      @7come11two 24 дня назад +2

      @@jesseboutdoorsreloading That's a good point. I've ran into similar situations with straight wall handgun cartridges even after the brass was resized. I've only encountered this twice, and I determined the cause to be resizing dies that simply were not tight enough. This happened with .380 ACP and .38 Super. Even the taper crimp wouldn't hold the bullets in place. And I don't want to rely on the crimp to hold the bullet in place. It must be tight before the crimp is applied. Anyway, I changed dies and the problem disappeared. Of course, this happened with fired cases. Not new ones. But I would certainly go to any length to avoid loose bullets. If I were to ever encounter even one new case that didn't hold the bullet firmly, I would forever resize every case. So, I understand.

    I just priced out 2 kits with tax, shipping and my powder and I have 350+ into a case doing all the work. I’ll buy name brand factory for a good bit less. When I buy all components I have 21 cents per round which is still too high. Basically reloading has become way less desirable in Bidenomics days.
