When I put my 4 inch diamond eye on my first GEN it absolutely did not fit around the transfer case I had to bend it with a floor jack and a block of wood and remove the extra cross member piece. Nice to know the MBRP works better. Oh and by the way bigger exhaust tips are like putting a sock your pants.
Love your Vids keep it up (sounds super sweet )

Yes I do remember struggling a bit more around the transfer case with the diamond eye compared to the MBRP.

Nice, good job, I was thinking about ordering one of those systems and wondered how they fit, keep up the good videos

Had a good experience with the MBRP and diamond eye. They both fit well. The diamond eye I think had a bigger downpipe compared to the MBRP, the MBRP seems a bit louder but I opted to install a resonator on the diamond eye so that might be why it's a bit quieter

Looks like it got louder by the testing. At least your neighbors will know when you get home. 🙂

Awesome video man, I love your content. Did you have to trim the tailpipe piece at all? I’m installing an MBRP 4” straight pipe turbo back kit on my 93 first gen and the tailpipe seems a little lengthy for the truck.

Yep we trimmed the tailpipe back to where we wanted the tip to sit so the tip gave the full resonating effect.

Is your sheet metal v band leaking? I had to cut my whole system up to make it fit on my single cab. Unfortunately Mbrp was my only option because nobody else would ship to CA. I also cut the sheet metal v band off and welded on an oem cummins v band.

Nope the v band wasn't leaking after I installed it, although I wasn't a huge fan of the thin flange that was at the v band end of the down pipe. I think the diamond eye had a better design on that one in my experience.

Any noticeable power difference vs. the old muffler set up? I have to do the same project but I’ll get the down pipe ceramic coated. That wrap is going to get nasty real fast on a truck. .

Yes actually I did notice it felt like there was a bit better performance out of the new exhaust system. Hard to say without a dyno but I feel it added a good amount of horsepower. I can hear the turbo a lot more so I'm thinking the reduction in back pressure on the system helped the turbo spool up.
