Thank you for making this video! I'm planning to open up a boba shop later this year and your advice really helped. Definitely will check out your masterclass!
Wilson this is awesome advice and wish I had this kind of information available 8+ years ago. You hit on a lot of great points in setting up boba shop. Great advice and all the best.
Funny thing is that the reason why I started this channel is because I wished i had this info when I first started my first food business 5 years ago!! But there wasn't anyone around to guide me or tell me what to do + what to look out for. Made me waste a TON of money and time :( So this is a channel just about all I've learned and my mistakes haha
I really do want to start up a bubble tea business in my local town. There we don't have a a single Bubble tea Rivals near me. Thought the closest one is a City down south but that's like 30 minutes away. Im hoping really to sell for the locals and most importantly the local Schools. The only rivals really are Coffee shops like Costa or Cafe Nero
Hello, I’m really grateful for the video. Because I live in Haiti and there’s no Boba Shop , and I was scared to create it. But thx to you I’m gonna start right now. New project 2024 😍😍😍😍
Thanks, Wilson - I'm just starting to explore the possibility of my 10 year dream becoming a reality, and your style of succinctly summarizing the essentials is sure to help me make up for lost time. Much Appreciated!
My friend who worked as a bubble tea manager asked me for money because he wanted to open his own place I gave him enough money that I would own 80% and he only 20%. He’s doing so good at running the shop that we make 500,000$ in sales per year before expenses , fees and taxes. In the end I get to keep around 180,000$ per year and I never even go in.
This is golden! I believe that the African and Middle Eastern demographic could jump on the Bubble Tea train, we looove milk tea too. Vegan milk and good tea sorts are a no-brainer, so creating a small selection of high quality pearls and an efficient serving system is the challenge for me.. challenge accepted! Peace from Denmark

Hi Mr.Wilson. I just want to thank you for all your valuable videos. With all your teaching, I will definitely open a bubble tea shop franchise this year or in 2022.

Hi Wilson, thanks for the great video! I am exploring idea of starting a franchised asian themed tea shop in Texas (Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio). One of the points you mentioned was choosing a location that has a significant Asian population because the product is still a Asian item - even though all ethnicies are starting to try and enjoy the product. If you were to consider a location that has a smaller Asian population, would that be a deal breaker? Thanks! :)
Significant Asian population is not a requirement. Just modify your menu and options based on your local demographics. Chinese food in China is not the same as Chinese food in El Paso.

Hi Wilson! I want to open a bubble tea shop in my city. I was wondering if you could share more about where to get resources on recipes and ingredient sourcing? I've considered franchising because I didn't really grow up with bubble tea and only have it a few times a year when traveling to larger cities. I'm not confident in creating recipes but I have begun doing market research on typical menu items and offerings. Though my city has never really had any true bubble tea shops, with more young people moving into my city I see a gap in the market to capitalize on. Looking forward to your response! Thanks!
I’m an Asian who move to live in France and bubble tea is a hit in Asian town in Paris. My dream is to open one bubble tea shop in a tourist area outside Paris, but I still afraid that this drink is too new for the French.
I remember seeing a Korean restaurant that opened up in a smaller city in Europe. It was well received and a video was made on it by the Eater. Definitely there is a risk as timing may not be right for the demographic yet - but surveying and starting small to test out the market would be what I recommend. Best of luck Boran!
Hi Wilson, thank you so much for your information.. But one thing, if we set up a boba stall in the market, do we have a space to wash our shakers and mixtures as we won't be using same shakers and mixtures for different flavours..🤔🤔
i live in méxico sonora, bubble tea isn´t a thing here so i want to start it. im a 16 year old with 2 friends wanting to start a small bubble tea shop business, we dont have a lot of money saved up so thats why first we want to start as a order and take and if it does good maybe convert my big patio in a small restaurant. we are a little nerveus since the little money we have would be used tu buy the ingridienets of bublle tea. i really need some advice please
Props to you and your friends for having that entrepreneurial mind! I get what you're feeling - it is scary cause you don't know if it will work and you don't have the resources. So how can you improve your chances of success? Ask around to see if there is actually interest in bubble tea in your area. Cause if bubble tea ISN'T a thing there...that may be risky. But it may be because there just isn't any around but people want it. So you and your friends should go do some surveying and asking around to see the demand. I don't know what the food laws there are but you could start off really small by doing low quantity to test things out. AND biggest thing of all..understand that you are just 16 and if this all fails and you lose all your saved money...not a big deal if you still have a roof over your heads. I have failed more than 50 times before I had any glimpse of success. You atleast doing this will teach you and give you that taste of running a business. So go out there, start small, test the market, then if the market likes what they see, they'll buy from you. Let me know how it goes!!
Hello Wilson, thank you very much for your information. I am planning to open my first boba tea shop soon. My place is very close to the university, walking distance . What serving base should I be more focus for younger group customers? What else should I pair with Boba drinks ? Thank you very much . Have a good day .
Very comprehensive. But under demographics you left out those who may come to a boba shop to get a taste of Asia, that is to experience the atmosphere of the place. Also some tea “snobs” are out there and want tea which is not over-steeped. You can tell if they are in your shop because they often want tea plain, no sugar, no milk, no ice. Another aspect is service. Bringing the order to a table is better than shouting a number for a segment of the patrons. I have visited many boba shops and tried many different tea. My favorite is Jasmine with real milk and boba, no ice, no sugar. Next best is Matcha with real milk, light sugar (from Hateruma island) and light ice. My favorite snack is mochi donut or Chinsuko, an Okinawan cookie like shortbread but saltier.
Thinking on opening one here in México i'm having a hard time finding the market as over here they love sweeter and non tea flavor. Thanks for helping out
Maybe fruit slushes or dessert-like boba? There's a spot here called Milk & Sugar that has stuff like strawberry cheesecake with pearls. Google milk and sugar cafe vancouver.

That's interesting! Is there a reason why there isn't a shop there? Would be good to do some research and asking around the interest and demand for the product first
Hi Wilson! Thank you for such an informative video! My biggest question is how to come up with the recipes for the various drinks?
I can help with that. Let me know what you need and your location.
I live in the hood, if it's good I think black people would by it . I'll have watermelon flavor. And of course other good flavors. Wish me luck guys
Please whenever you star your business do some work to preserve environment too. It can be by reusing the plastic bottles used by customer or by using some other alternative of the plastic bottles.
You have been very helpful❤️🙏🏾God bless you
Glad it was helpful!

0:03 hi Wilson I would love to talk to you or possibly hire you for consultation for a franchise opportunity. Based in Los Angeles with multiple potential sites around the city I am very interested in putting a bubble tea shop in suited areas mainly because it seems like a low overhead and straight forward operation. If interested please let me know how we can get in touch.
Thank you!
What is the best bubble Tea franchise ?

Hello everyone., I need to know anyone of you know a school or a academy that offer complete bubble tea business training. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I'm also willing to work for free to learn this business.
Great content, thank you for this video. I am a restaurateur and I’m looking to add boba to my menu, I am struggling with sourcing of the product and coming up with the product cost. Can you please suggest sources and break down the cost in today’s market?
I already have 4 locations running that I need boba tea in.
