Most people go to Greece for Mykonos and Santorini. I want to come and see this part of Greece.
You won't regret. It's even more stunning in real life. Spend at least 2 full days there to visit all monasteries. Each of them is worth visiting. Each takes at least 3-4 hours because of high elevation, walking on foot and hot sunshine. Plus staying in the nearby village allows you to arrive to the monasteries 3-4 hours ahead of hundreds of tourists.

I did visit those islands snd Crete but first we took a bus in Athens and went to visit Meteora it’s unbelievable!
True. I went to Greece years ago, but didn't know about this place till recently.
These are remains of tartarian civilization, melted buildings that got petrified due to plasma apocalypse. I would love to go back to Greece and discover these areas. Very beautiful.
Went alone to keep in touch with my soul and came back two months later with my wife and my 6 yo son. No words to describe... great people the greek one!
a few years ago when my wife was just my girlfriend, we were in a trip in greece and when we visited the meteora i have asked her to be my wife.
such an amazing place, i love greek people and their culture....it's like heaven on earth !

Meteora. A piece of heaven on earth!
it's like they scratched the rocks
i was there in 2015. took my breath away..
Was here about 5 years ago. Breathtaking scenery, and well worth the trip to Greece on it's own. If you ever go to Greece, i highly recommand visiting this place.

Dear sir, I hate being repetitive but I can't help but admire the artfulness shown by you in giving us the chance to view these incredibly beautiful places. Besides that the sad soulful Greek music as background is nothing short of awesome. It is incredible what humans in the name of faith are able to build. These monasteries are old and it baffles my mind as to how they were able to construct these structures in such inhospitable places. How they manage to build them and make them accessible at the same time, it was by any measure in incredible job.

My wife & I trekked here in 1975.....no crowds...then again, in the 1970s there were NO crowds ANYWHERE !!! How lucky we were !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a beautiful area...just reduce the tourists by 80%

The Meteora, a heavenly place! You can stay in Kalabaka for a few nights ... so that you can then visit all the majestic monasteries and have enjoy in the heavens!

There is a noticeable lack of rock piles at the foot of all the cliffs. The stability of the area makes it seem both dangerous and safe at the same time. Everyone wish me luck getting there.!

Trikala is a region in Greece with no sea. It's covered with mountains and has many attractions. Meteora, Theopetra, and of course the large amount of villages. Elati (the most famous), Parapotamos, Pili, Filira, Korirthalos (not to be confused with the city) and many, many more. Meteora is just at the end of Koziakas mountain. At the other end is located the large village of Pili. There are also many other mountains.
I always had a wish to visit this amazing place..have been here in Greece for years now..and now luckily I'm going there this weekend 🙏
