To be fair the first 3 seasons were produced by a different staff than the rest which is why there’s a visible change in storyline, graphics, and personality. The new show runner has made it explicit that he doesn’t want to follow along with the plans made by the original show runner. For example there were different plans for the reverse flash, crisis, and a whole lot of stuff. While they’ll probably end up using the reverse flash, there is a chance that they won’t because they don’t want to reuse original content/ideas.
