Damn. I didn't notice how good the 3ds ocarina game looked. I knew there was a difference but that side by side comparison really shows the vast improvement of visuals
Remakes of home console games on handhelds are so nice. You get a better version of the game AND you can play it on the go. I wish they would keep going with remakes of other franchises too. There a lot of great games that need to a refresh.
It is overall nicer. My only issue is the lack of darker atmosphere in the haunted areas like Well/shadow temple. Missing bloodstains too. It was likely a brighter version for the sake of the 3ds and playing on the go anywhere. But hopefully a switch re-release has adjustments
The little Qol improvements were cool and the graphics were smoother but it was missing some of the little details that were in the original. I like both but I would have to go with the original if I were to play it again.
Haha right? No offense to jirard or any content creator but the majorty of fans will watch 24 hrs of stuff in a single video (Dont forget people and content creators. Theres a thing call a pause button)
Every single one of these games was _magic_ for me. It's still insane to me that they completely change the artstyle for nearly every entry. How many other franchises are not only willing to take that risk, but have it look amazing each time? Congrats on the charity turnout Jirard!
thank you for giving me a massive case of zelda feels. this franchise has just meant so much to me for as long as i can remember and i'm so glad it's been such a great constant in my life.
Majoras 3D also changed how momentum from a spin affected deku link during a jump. it makes a lot of jumps as deku more frustrating than they need to be.

Zelda is what got me, and I'm sure a lot of people, into completing videogames. Getting all the heart pieces, completing all the side quests, upgrading all items etc. To me, completing a Zelda game is just second nature whenever I play a new one. It's one of the few game series which is often designed to be completed.
I basically forced myself to complete all the Zelda games, and it was always so compelling, even with some annoying minigames (looking @ u WW and ALBW). I didn't even complete most of the Metroids, and it's genre is practically centered around getting the highest % possible. NEStroid, every incarnation of 2, and Super were the only ones I completed. I am working on Fusion before Dread though.
@@Regulus24314 Yeah, i got em the first go around, but if BOTW2 has some 900 collectible type shit again I'm not going for it. God forbid they bring back random chance figures required for a heartpiece.
Skyward Sword’s motion controls do make you feel like you are actually wielding the sword, at least for me, and I think one reason not many people think that is that so few people seem to put a full swing into their motions. I stood for the entirety of the game so I could have as much room as possible to make that happen.
The way you described OOT at the end made me tear up. I grew up with this game. My dad had the main save file, and he'd ask my brothers when he was stuck. We missed 1 Skulltula, and I think it was somewhere we couldn't backtrack to. The N64 was our first console. I'll forever have fond memories from the games of that time.
I love how in this one compilation you can see the small and great changes that Jirard and the guys have made to the show Loved the look back at the openings.
A HUNDRED AND TWENTY THOUSAND?? Damn Jirard, that’s awesome! I had no idea Indieland was so huge! Really making good things happen in the world, my dude!

My opinions of my favourite game of all time has changed a few times over the years from Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, Ocarina of Time but now at 37 it’s Wind Waker that truly is the most special to me, the whole experience from the characters to the soundtrack brings up a rush of emotions no other game does for me. The Completionist, remember the video review you did for Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition? Well I'm actually doing it of completing the game in its full entirety just like how you did! Link is at lv. 226, have the first two maps completely opened up with the 3rd one about 3/4 opened likewise, and am getting the 4th map opened as well. Have all heart containers/heart pieces plus 34 gold skulltullas in Legends Mode, completed the "True Partners" illustration in unlocking the Rewards Map, 26 characters unlocked, & Ganon's Fury at lv.85 with 5 of his challenges with an A-Ranking.
I have the HD version of Twilight Princess. Haven't played it yet, but this video reminding me of the new stamps and dungeon to find makes me think of using my Wii U as not just a Wii again.
Your thoughts at the 41:20 mark is funny as just before you said it , I was thinking to myself how awesome it is for you that such a thing as YT exists, allowing you to actually do what you love, seriously you'd be doing this even w.out anyone having a clue... and get paid for it! As nice as a human being as you are you DESERVE to live the life you do. Gonna be cool to eventually get Jirard-aka-'GreyBeard' ✊😎
Cartoony graphics newer than the 8-bit era don't really age. They weren't realistic to begin with, so it's just animation. When it's trying to be realistic, each future jump, no matter how incremental at this point, will make its presence, or lack thereof, known when going back to the old games aiming for realism. Especially when multiple generations of improvements stack up, you start to see the sparce lands, the lack of any fine details, etc.
What’s funny is that Twilight Princess HD introduces the Colossal Wallet, which is obtained after completing the Cave of Shadows if Link already owns the Giant Wallet. As its name implies, it offers a greater carrying capacity than the Giant Wallet - up to 9,999 Rupees. So you forgot to get that bud
If there's ever a Zelda 3d collection, it has to have windwaker, twilight princess, ocarina of time and Majora's mask, and I hope they call it "The 4 Swords Collection"

Especially when multiple generations of improvements stack up, you start to see the sparce lands, the lack of any fine details, etc.
love that i got to hear the phrase "beefy doggos" today
What’s funny is that Twilight Princess HD introduces the Colossal Wallet, which is obtained after completing the Cave of Shadows if Link already owns the Giant Wallet. As its name implies, it offers a greater carrying capacity than the Giant Wallet - up to 9,999 Rupees. So you forgot to get that bud
Thank you Jirard much appreciated
Completionist: the movie
This is fabulous to watch with a baby that refuses to sleep.
*gets to the Twilight Princess segment*
"Zelda U and the NX"
*that's a name I haven't heard since...*
Dope vid. Every 2D Zelda when?
Hearing Jirard call the Switch the NX was odd at first.
Kinda reminded me of when we used to call the Wii the Nintendo Revolution before it came out
OoT is my favorite 3d zelda. It always brings me back. I really liked the master quest
If there's ever a Zelda 3d collection, it has to have windwaker, twilight princess, ocarina of time and Majora's mask, and I hope they call it "The 4 Swords Collection"
