I can confirm this! I started taking compounded tirzepatide for weight loss, and I have had success from that perspective which is great. BUT the relief from inflammation and especially from constant and obsessive food noise/head hunger has had a HUGE impact on my quality of life. For the first time ever, I don't have intrusive thoughts about food all day, every day. It's so, so freeing.
@@FreshEclecticism So happy to talk to someone who has had this experience and plans to continue taking the medication for maintenance. You take Trizepitide? Compounded? What’s your maintenance dose?
@@ConsterLyes I take compounded tirz, 5mg/week for maintenance, split into 2 doses (2.5mg on Monday and 2.5mg on Friday). Spreading them out like that helps keep the hunger and food noise away. Maintenance dose will vary depending on the patient and what dose they were on when they reached goal weight.
Thank you so much for this. The fear mongering is real. My question becomes that no one said anything about this medication when it was solely for diabetics but as soon as it was used for weight loss, everybody now has something negative to say. I personally have had tremendous success with trizepatide.
Agreed 100 💯 I can testify this is amazing - Lost 25 lbs… during menopause- I’m Working out, keep moving , gain muscle …the inflammation is 80percent improved… Have had two hip replacements and arthritis. Pain has been brutal through the years. I am so excited for all this can bring to so many… Don’t be afraid! Seriously, it is amazing- (Although I’m sure there are certain people that will not have the same story but just don’t overdose! Go slow ) I never went over the 7.5 mg on Zepbound…. I’ve reached My goal Weight and I am trying to sort out the best way to microdose to stay on for the inflammation benefits/cognitive benefits/all over great benefits for our overall health. #Miracle peptide
i think it's only a matter of time before the dialogue changes... its impossible to keep up this negative rhetoric for long... there is too much research.
I’ve been suffering from GI issues since I was a little girl. H. pylori, SIBO, etc. I’ve tried everything to relieve the bloating and nothing really worked. I’ve been on Tirzepatide low dose for almost 7 weeks and my stomach inflammation is almost non-existent. My stomach finally feels like normal and this is the only thing I’ve done differently. Also, I wasn’t able to lose any weight, whether I was working out and eating healthy. I lost like 8-9 lbs of inflammation with very minimum side effects.
I have been using a low dose of tirzepitide and I honestly feel like it’s been worth it for the digestive effects ALONE. It feels like it has healed my IBS and SIBO and never ending food sensitivities and intolerances. After a lifetime of those issues that is a miracle. I feel like this is the first time modern medicine has actually helped me with anything lol. I mean besides like emergency surgeries etc.
Wish I was closer to you…I would apply to be your wellness coach and nutritionalist!! We are of the same mindset! The effects are amazing! They are dropping blood pressure, so I use Celtic salt. My script is for CVD. I have the LPa gene and between Rapatha and these God sent peptides, simple short chain aminos, have dropped my LPa from 195 to 115, also reduced my 9 blockages 20-30% over the last 13 months! Those peptides should replace fluoride in our water 🙏
Thank you for explaining this. I wish I could find a decent thyroid clinic in Az. I have Hashi, and have struggled for over 30 yrs. Your approach seems more pro-active..hopeful.
I’ve been on semaglutide for almost a year, for weight loss and insulin resistance, and NAFL resolved. My A1C is down from 6.9 to 5. I’ve lost 38 pounds, 20 more to go. I’ve done the dosing low and slow with my Functional Medicine doc, along with a complete supplemental and clean eating plan. I do think I will be on some dosage of this med forever. I’m 64 and feel better this last year than I did in my 40’s. My health was so bad I really thought I was on my way to a miserable and sick retirement. The only meds I take now are my thyroid meds and hormone replacement therapy. My blood pressure is so good I got off that med in the first few months. You are offering very balanced and fact based information on these peptides! I do think these peptides will become standard treatment.
New to your channel, I have RA and I'm on Methotrexate. I asked my rheumatologist about prescribing me a GLP-1 to help with the inflammation. Her thoughts on it were negative and she told me it would not help with the inflammation.
@edsmale that's great news, I decided to go on my own and go through a Med Spa. I'll be starting soon. I hope it helps with all my inflammation. Thank you for sharing.
@@hayatwahob I have zepbound approved with my insurance, but it was a long preapproval. While waiting I started semaglutide with mochi health. I found they had the best pricing as well as excellent service. There are many online providers. So I’ve had both semaglutide, and tirzepitide. I found tirz to have less side effects, almost zero. And tirz has been shown to take off more weight. Sema did seem to have slightly more appetite suppression. Good luck. Remember, go slow, titrate up slow, plenty of water and protein, excercise more as weight comes off. There are so many helpful videos on RUclips, like this one. If this works well for you you’ll feel sooooooo much better, over time you’ll be able to reduce or eliminate other drugs. Keep me updated after a few months!
For those of us who want to take the branded medication , but be on a lower dose , is taking the 2.5 dose of Monjaro, but injecting every two weeks rather than weekly , a viable option ?
I have 25/30lbs to lose that just won’t budge. I have low thyroid that I’m working on. My question for these meds is isn’t this too low calorie? Won’t that further hurt my thyroid? And coming off this is there rebound weight gain?
Would you recommend with hyperthyroidism? I have some of those symptoms but not all. Defo not loosing weight. I am in the uk and totally lost as we don’t have people like you there x😊
I have been trying to lose or control my weight for 20 years in Peri and Post menopause, with little success. I eventually went down to only 800 calories and a 4 hour eating window and could not lose the 50 pounds gained over 20 years . Two months on Monjaro and weight loss has been slow ( 7 pounds) but consistent . I’m actually forcing myself to eat more on Monjaro ( 1200 calories) than I consumed prior to taking this medication. My insulin resistance is still a problem, but I’m seeing modest improvements in this area as well . My HRCRP prior to starting was 5.9 , after eight weeks it is 5.7 , not much of an improvement, but hoping that this will change . I’m still on the 2.5 dose because of severe constipation so my doctor does not recommend increasing my dose until it’s resolved. My A1C has gone from 6.2 , to 5.9 , again modest improvement.
I just want to start because of my thyroid issues. My blood sugar is not going down. Do you know the thyroid number n on the lab work is going to be lower, too?
So I’m on compounded Wegovy .25 and as of week 4 I’ve lost 8 lbs. on my refill, My pharmacy is stepping me up to .5. I called my Dr to request staying on .25. I’m losing weight have minor but manageable nausea appetite suppression is working. So if my medication arrives and it’s.50 do I just draw half the dose to be at .25? I may have to do this before dosing gets straightened out between my doctor and the pharmacy. Left voicemail with my doctor to get dosage advice and a reduced .25 formula. Thank you
I stopped taking Nutrafol because it has a lot of iodine in it, which is bad for hoshimotos I was told by my doctor, is this true? Instead I’m taking viviscal.
Exactly!!! The weight loss is a benefits NOT the reason for the improvement in health. It’s a result of the BODY SYSTEMS becoming healthier! Just like weight gain is NOT the cause of type 2, it’s a SYMPTOM!!! A direct result of a body that is desperately trying to compensate for so many things abcs the IR causes the weight gain. When people say that too much insulin doesn’t cause weight gain makes me crazy! Think about this, a pregnant woman is tested for gestational diabetes because diabetics tend to have larger babies. Why is that? Because the baby is creating an enormous amount of insulin to combat the high blood sugar coming from the mother which translates into the baby gaining much more weight that normal! It also contributes to other problems for sure, but the large size of the baby that can complicate delivery and blood sugar problems for the baby is directly tied to high amounts of insulin!!!
honestly i dont hear from patients a lot of improvement in that specifically so it would be difficult for me to say.. though i do hear reports of improvement in depression and anxiety.. i have a podcast coming out soon about that.

Agree. It has dramatically improved my quality of life. I’m in maintenance and don’t plan to wean off because of these other miraculous effects!

Do you think the compound meds out there are safe ?
we exclusively use (high quality) compounds.. i wouldn't use regular meds because of the lack of dosing options.

Just eat 40 grams of fiber each day. Fiber upregulates GLP-1 in the same way.
in a similar way... just about 1/1000th as much. scientifically speaking
We would have known a looooong time ago if just eating 40 grams of fiber was all it took.
