It doesn't even have to be story related, make it so there's at least one more weapon created from siva that could make nanites too, look how there's multiple weapons of sorrow that have similarities and effects.

I think they’ll bring back WoTM this year cause in the showcase someone had the completion emblem for it in d1. HOPEFULLY they’ll keep the SIVA fallen and won’t replace them w Eramis’ house. Also hopefully the default armor will be the black hard mode armor w the red glows and that the glow will change based on shaders

Outbreak is an orb making machine. You can kill one guy in a group of ads, and the nanites take care of the rest and just start spitting out orbs left and right
True but there are much better exotics for this. Even an arc siphon with a volt shot indebted kindness is much better for ad clear/orb creation. Outbreak perfected is better for single target damage.
It's the fact that it can do both is what makes it such a great weapon

I hope if they decide to do something about this they’ll just remove the super gains based on damage feature or remove nanites triggering RR’s instead of nerfing outbreak itself

I believe Bungie has stated that Siva will never be returning to the game. But who knows...
Should hunters swap to outbreak or lucky pants warden / malfeasance for a boss final stand?
assuming lucky pants aren't nerfed in final shape, I'd still go with wardens + lucky pants
but if lucky pants are disabled for lets say, day 1 of the raid, then outbreak comes out :)

i think bungie is 100% saving siva for when things inevitably get dry, or the season of next years raid if it's wrath

God I hope we go back to siva. I would love to see it as an episode but after all these years I think all we are gonna keep getting is ornaments.

In the lore tab for the Brave blast furnace, ada-1 makes a reference to an "old cosmodrome program whose revival could be quite useful". Worse case, it was just referencing ada's involvement with outbreak's return, best case, a hint to SIVA's return. That's the best I can provide on the status of SIVA.
Would be great to go back to the wastelands (I think that was the area in the cosmodrome)

According to the new blast furnace lore Ada-1 has a plan for something in the cosmodrome. I would assume Rasputin being gone SIVA is either dormant or repeating it's last command. So they could tie in Wrath of the Machine as present lore instead of a simulation.
look I know weewinewounds is really fucking good BUT I really wanna test out headseeker on it, like if the nanites count for the body shot that'll be so good if you just run some kinetic loader mods to slim that reload speed down
Its probably going to be significantly worse, tbh. The damage boost from headseeker is pretty small, and you dont get the self-reloading benefit from UwU rounds, which is what makes Outbreak so good rn. Headseeker's really only good in PvP, where it makes the weapon a bit easier to use.
Aztecross put out a video today. They do count as body shots to proc head seeker but its a 7% damage bonus i think is what he said. I thought "cool!.... oh 😢" in that order.

My theory is SIVA will make a return, but bungie will somehow integrate it with the nano technology the cloud-striders use.

In regards to Wrath of the Machine coming back, remember there was still that time they announced fireteam finder/LFG in the Lightfall ViDoc where we clearly saw the WotM Raid Emblem so at the very least that’s in the Destiny 2 API, my guess is it’s the next yearly D1 Raid they’ll be bringing back next Winter keeping up with the 2 Raids a year schedule.

I and a friend have a very selfish build centered around Outbreak, been using it for 2 years now. Still no one has caught on. But the build has just melted everything in the past and now it's even better because we've just decided we don't feel like reloading our gun anymore lol
Is it: outbreak, disorienting autoloading launcher, personal preference for heavy. Knucklehead radar. Strand, marksmans dodge, shackle grenade, dodge clone, maelstrom, crits sever, damage for grenade, strand lasts longer, and orbs give armor. I know the tangles give melee works real good too because of maelstrom so if you would rather that somewhere. Kinetic orbs, reaper, orbs heal, kinetic surge, time dilation... I think thats everything "important". Use artifact mods that make sense. Next season is anti barrier pulse so 😂😂😂 umm. For arms, I just threw on the melee give me energy to other stuff and bomber on my dodge to try and keep the grenade handy for Champs but you do you. Sorry about a lack of names, this is all from memory.

Rewind Rounds are so much more insane than I originally thought they would be. Also I do think SIVA was a one and done thing. Unless they pull some "clovis re created SIVA on Europa", I don't see how it can come back with the replication chamber and the production chambers being destroyed

I like to think of bungie denying Rise of Iron as a whole is just them coping since it was something the community loved that they had really nothing to do with (since it was almost exclusively done by a team at Activision). If you ever watch stream highlights of Rise of Iron being mentioned you can just see them get very agitated lol.

You are when you run out of ammo and there's plenty of great legendary special and heavy ammo weapons.

Day 1 VoW - Caretaker was often defeated using outbreak because teams would run out of ammo by the time they got to final. So, you never know when something like outbreak could come in clutch.
