i was impressed with the clamps, payed good money for clamps with a lot less pressure than the Aldi ones.. how long they last, time will tell, but for the money, nice find.
You always have to ask for batteries now … current policy is that they no longer display them. Seems they’re the most popular item for lifting from the shelves.
Cheers Rob, more handy stuff there, the planer is crazy cheap, I'll be interested to see how it performs when you get the batteries, they've got some handy little tools in that 12v range !
I only have 20v tools as when the 12v came out, there wasn't much for my needs but over the last couple of years they've brought loads of new 12v products out. Might dip my toes into the 12v at some point. The magnets on the profile gauge might come in handy if you're converting the back of a van to a camper! Nice little haul you have there Rob and look forward to the planer testing, thank you 😀👍
Nice video. I got the clamps, contour, hammer at Aldi. Also got the thermal shirts for the cold winter days and the Ferrex glue gun. I bought a Makita planer last year, thinking that i would be using it all the time. I prefer the manual plane so far although still learning it. Good luck with it. Thanks for sharing.
My local Lidl has been crap for about 3 weeks now, nothing new, just old battered stock! C'mon lidl, I need to buy stuff I never knew I needed 😆 btw I have the planer and it works really well. Unfortunately my Parkside "dremel" has just broken. Let's see how good the warranty is!
I had the same idea and tried popping it on a magnetic whiteboard, which is where I store the wristband. Unfortunately it is too heavy to stay on, and just slides down.
It would be handy to know what the power consumption is under load. Rather than buy batteries I wire things like this direct to a lead acid battery or suitable power supplies such as those used for CB radios or even battery chargers that I have modified for use as a power supply.
Hi Rob, More workshop bargains, the Workzone contour gauge magnets there are for sticking to your fridge with your fridge magnets.......lol you can't get enough clamps and for £4 that's a bargain and theres always need for wipes. To me that is the perfect shopping trip none of this get the bread, milk and cheese. As always a great video, catch you soon mate, Take care
You have scored a real bargain there on that planer I got mine for £39. 99 in the middle aisle couple of years ago and I'm pretty certain that's what it normally retails for
Got 2 bags of the clamps, the fire extinguisher, and 2 lots of the thermal T shirts, which are very warm. I also got the straight edge from Lidl as well 😂😂
Just want you to be aware that when i went looking for batteries in Lidl they kept them in back room because they get stolen. This is the batteries and chargers, maybe other stuff too. I had to ask
Cracking video Rob. I have only got the X20v Lidl tools so wouldn't know if the x12v stuff is any good. Love the channel and keep the videos coming. Cheers.
Bought some of those incredibly cheap spring clamps when food shopping in Aldi, £3.99, absolute bargain and very useful. Where and when did you you buy that planer, I want one but it is not stocked in my local Lidle.
Is it just our Aldi down here in Devon but l have noticed that they don't do much in their centre aisles tool wise over the last months. But Lidl still do a good selection. Does anyone know why?

Let’s see how they get on mate.. but yes impressed so far 👍 cheers Rob
The magnets on the profile thingy would be really useful when you need to trim the fridge or washing machine to fit snugly to the wall …. 😂😂😂
😂😂 oh yes 😂 cheers
Had the clamps now for bout 10 years. Still perfect
Great to hear ,😃 cheers Rob
You're really getting good on those tool videos my friend.❤❤
Cheers my good buddy 😉🙏
You always have to ask for batteries now … current policy is that they no longer display them. Seems they’re the most popular item for lifting from the shelves.
Yes I’ve seen the same.. pinchable by all accounts , cheers
Thanks Rob. Take care & stay safe.
Cheers Doug 🙏👍
Magnets on profile tool could be to attach to steel plate, to scribe out.
Good point 👍 cheers Rob
Cheers Rob, more handy stuff there, the planer is crazy cheap, I'll be interested to see how it performs when you get the batteries, they've got some handy little tools in that 12v range !

Cheers buddy.. yes I also am planning on collecting the 12v range 👍😃
I picked up the 20v plane. Lighter and easier to manipulate than my old 240v job
Yes that’s what I’m looking forward to 😃👍 cheers Rob
Great video, I am after one of those "track saw" guides and those clamps are a bargain.
Yeah, they are enticing but unfortunately not long enough to cut width wise across a sheet of 8x4 ply or OSB. Better to buy a longer one elsewhere
👍👍
@@thelikesofus324 yeah it’s a shame they don’t do a 1200, they used to , cheers

Just bought that set of grips last week. Absolutely no idea what I’ll use them for, but they looked like a bargain.

This bloke loves his rubber.

Wow at the price of the planner. I have it and it kicked out so much dust so I always use a hoover with it now.
Yes defo need an vac fitted .. I’ve used my old planer before on a large surface and amazing how much chipping it throws out , cheers Rob

Hopefully they’ll see this and get the new toys in ( i mean tools in😂) we’ll need them one day 😉😂 cheers mate, Rob
The magnets would be handy to store it.
I had the same idea and tried popping it on a magnetic whiteboard, which is where I store the wristband. Unfortunately it is too heavy to stay on, and just slides down.
Good call ! I thought similar , cheers Rob

Fab video Rob…I have most of those too! 😂
Cheers Roger, I’m not surprised mate 😂 👍

I bought a planet in the sale, it works great
Cheers for letting me and others know 😃🙏
The saw guide is us it flexes (bends) to easily in the Center you cannot get a straight cut with it .
Honestly my cuts have been spot on.. but i have only gone upto about 600mm so maybe on the wider , cheers buddy 👍
What’s with the Michael Jackson glove lol
He has a sideline in providing cheap prostate examinations.
Might of only bought the left box and couldn’t afford the box of right gloves
😂😂😂 it’s a secret 😉 only joking.. I’ll explain one day , cheers Rob
@@dirkdingle7926😂😂👍

Always thought that was a funny name 😂

Am I the only person who was willing you to use the cleaning cloth on your dirty cutting mat?
And it was staring me in the face aswell 😂😂 I’ll do it now, cheers Rob
The planer is identical to the Bosch one which is £180 at Screwfix.
👍👍😃 cheers for the heads up
Just want you to be aware that when i went looking for batteries in Lidl they kept them in back room because they get stolen. This is the batteries and chargers, maybe other stuff too. I had to ask

Bought some of those incredibly cheap spring clamps when food shopping in Aldi, £3.99, absolute bargain and very useful. Where and when did you you buy that planer, I want one but it is not stocked in my local Lidle.
