7:55 They are Ferrite rings. They can be used to make chokes (inductors) or transformers. Also used on cable to attenuate high frequency signals (noise) and suppress EMI (Electromagnetic noise).
Just means it was supplied by a UK company. It's not a nato stock number but a national stock number. He's most likely correct with the levers as the first four digits indicate: 'Engine Fuel System Components, Nonaircraft'
Have you tried the key from the other box/storage/shed repining is fairly simple on Yale locks and well within the capabilities of whoever owned the boxes previously makes sense to me 😂👍✌️
The light covers are RAF, I have some exactly the same but in green. The levers are section 42L it looks like, which is "Generating Set and Searchlights", comes up as "LEVER, MANUAL CONTROL" under the Nato Stock Number.
The headphones are for a BT exchange judging by the old Post office plug. The red lights look like the ones used for telephone ringers for noisy environments and deaf people. The ceramic capacitors are likely for interference suppression on telephone lines they will be for something like 15pF (pico farad).
I’d like to buy some of the cardiac switches / buttons - my daughter is a cardiac nurse and I’d like to give her and her nurse friends one of these for Christmas. Please let me know how Much for 5 of them. Many thanks 🙏
One mans rubbish is another mans treasure. The unit itself is well worth the £50 - I'm sure many men here would spend a lot of time restoring it so that it becomes a mini man cave. The treasures inside, most men will be interested in all the bits and bobs there. The steel tubes from 1974 alone are worth the watch.
Make sure you sell that old computer i saw in the thumbnail. Watched the video hoping to see it to help identify it. The old systems don't fetch a ton in a miserable shape but it could easily get you the 50 back you spent on it!
Iv been in that situation to many times and you have just remember why you bought it to begin with and have a trip to the recycling centre with the trailer 😆
As much as some of these new old stock items appear to be formerly aviation use items, you may find some of the parts are useful in the kit car manufacturing world. Quirky switches and lights are always welcome, when individualizing a motor vehicle or boat...! 😉👍
All that stuff looks like it's connected to BT even the two box's you have bought are off an ex BT vehicle of some kind, I remember the phone engineers working in the old green boxes on the side of the road with the head phones on,,, was it called the GPO back then in the 70s and 80s
You can drill those locks out easy! But I can see you building a wall of red 12v lights for next years show scene powered by a generator, line up all those fans to keep cool! 😅
The "lamp red" cover looks suspiciously like the driving desk lamp covers you see on older British Rail diesel locomotives and DMUs. Might be of interest to preservation societies.
Those round stone like rings are used as PROTECTORS for around each “pop-up” sprinkler. These keep the thin plastic sprinkler heads from being broken off by the power lawnmower. On occasion the heads will not completely retract into the base, leaving some of the main sprinkler shaft exposed. Love your engine lift! Could I buy it?
Those stone rings look more like ferrite rings to me.. Wrap a few turns of wire around them to filter out electromagnetic interference or RFI. (Radio Frequency Interference.).
Just come across your channell , you have cornered the market on door pin switches , do you have enough capacity to stash the capacitor could you try and of load the brand new alarm stuff to halfords or maybe a carboot person
My skin is crawling watching you rummage through that vermin infested shed. No PPE at all, could end up with Wields diseases. None of those items are saleable from those conditions. YUK. 🤢🤮👎
It’s amazing how many of us watch you going through a load of shit inside a crappy bt container. But I enjoyed it 👍🇬🇧
@@iansmith7369 it wastes so much of our day.
Its 1.20 AM and here I am.😂

You kept saying "it's crap" , but it's not, it's really interesting, and some of that stuff is really useful to the right person.
Anybody else picturing the scene from phoenix nights when max and paddy get a new car alarm...."get back ya bastard, I'll break your legs!"
I just bought some Tantalum capacitors as well 😂😂Fun video Adam, always enjoyable.
15:18 looks like a pair of old training nunchucks on the floor under the throttle clamps
The red lamp covers an MoD item as they have a ‘99’ number (NATO Stock Number) same as the levers
Just means it was supplied by a UK company. It's not a nato stock number but a national stock number. He's most likely correct with the levers as the first four digits indicate: 'Engine Fuel System Components, Nonaircraft'
It also has section reference "10AE" which is for RAF communications equipment (10) but not 100% sure on the subsection (AE).
That cover at 10.35 is from the opening vent in the roof. The whole thing are still available to buy brand new on the tinternet.
Have you tried the key from the other box/storage/shed repining is fairly simple on Yale locks and well within the capabilities of whoever owned the boxes previously makes sense to me 😂👍✌️
Im excited to see what you sell all this for - you got a bargain
They are the boxes off old BT Telecom leyland sherper vans. Very interesting how technology has changed since the early 90's!
The stone circles are for copper wire inductors
You can never have enough door switches cannot remember the last time I used one?
3:43 not 12Volts fans , the designation on the bobbin says 240V/ 50Hz.
19:39 it will be a nice doorbell button if your second name is "cardiac"☺
That was very theraputic watching you dig through that lot 😁
It would have been nice to have a Rachael update.....

I've got one of those ride on mowers!
The case containing the dartboard and Scalextric track, appears to be of approximately 1950-60 vintage. Nice and collectable then...! 😉👍
Wish you you all the luck with this man cave hope there's a pot of gold in there for you mate all the best to you and Mrs man cave 😊

Hi there my husband and I love watching your videos- keep
Up the great work ❤
At least your ok for capacitors and pin switches, that's two less things to worry about 😊
There Ferrite ring cores in the polystyrene packing, the lockers were for the gas bottle, my old BT body had a propex gas heater.
I would say you're at full capacity now
😂😂 Great pun
A lot of the boxes have MOD stores numbers on them.
The rings are ferrite rings that would have power cords wrapped on them to reduce interference.
£50 for the unit... but how much for the shipping ?
I’d like to buy some of the cardiac switches / buttons - my daughter is a cardiac nurse and I’d like to give her and her nurse friends one of these for Christmas. Please let me know how
Much for 5 of them. Many thanks 🙏
I see a lot of Profit and a lot of work 👍✌️

Make sure you cover the broken window in the roof
12:09 They are 3.3nF (nano Farad) 1000V ceramic disc capacitors.
Make sure you sell that old computer i saw in the thumbnail. Watched the video hoping to see it to help identify it. The old systems don't fetch a ton in a miserable shape but it could easily get you the 50 back you spent on it!
every customer gets a bin bag with a door module, a piezo sensor, a red lamp, a cardiac button and one thousand capacitors.
Those blower motors are AC only, the motors are shaded pole synchronous motors.
yeah the round things are inductor cores like someone mentioned before
Hope you gave your hands a good wash after you;d finished in that container, looks like you've had rats in there
Iv been in that situation to many times and you have just remember why you bought it to begin with and have a trip to the recycling centre with the trailer 😆

them fan units probably won't be 12v as they are fitted with shaded pole motors which run on A/C. most likely 240v.
Automotive air blowers I reckon so likely are 12v
@@newtronix .. They are AC motors. Not DC.
@@banjax66 they actually say 240VOLT on them pause video for a good look

In the USA those Hoover's are Dust Busters from the 1980's
£55 on ebay for the doorlock controllers... You never know they maybe interested. They sell new old stock.
Hording at its best paddy was the expert
The headphones look more like tank crew than pilot ??
I'm sure there are a few RUclipsrs out there would be interested, Mr Hewes for a start 🤔
Looks like a lot of "homework", remember when that was a thing that housewives did in the 70's/80's to earn a bit of "cash in hand" lol.
you can see all those alarm modules going to india and being fitted in their 'modern' cars..
The Hinderstan Ambassadors or Morris Oxfords they were are waiting the import from the Norfolk Man
Gotta get me one of those old bodies for a steam engine workshop
Think i would be loading up for the scrap man
You can drill those locks out easy! But I can see you building a wall of red 12v lights for next years show scene powered by a generator, line up all those fans to keep cool! 😅
where the hell do you buy a storage unit like that for £50 ideal for the garden.
the track in thecase may be tcr from 1986
I don't think they make skips big enough for that lot😂
ferrite core for suppression
Will them levers fit my 1974 Puch Maxi? I need 4 capacitors but the ones I need are bigger than that. :-)))))
You could make your own dalek..
the zemco alarms are going for £50 on ebay
The "lamp red" cover looks suspiciously like the driving desk lamp covers you see on older British Rail diesel locomotives and DMUs. Might be of interest to preservation societies.
I'll buy all the capicters off you. The best price I could offer is £1 each.
Hi Adam, lock picking on RUclips. When you’re in take locks to mr Minutes for keys.Should be a number on the back of the lock.
Have u managed to sell anything yet ha
What are you going to use the containers for
how much for a bag of capacitors please
can you tell me if those fans are 50HZ or 60HZ and what voltage they look pretty neat
Hi, I would be interested in buying all your capacities. How much would you want? Regards, patrick.
capacitors.
Are they flux capacitors if they are they will take you back to the future.
What capacitance are they voltage watts capacitance etc
All the best mucker
Wrong channel mate 😂
Can i buy 1 capacitor please?
I could use some Ceramic Capacitors
you really should fix your cam somewhere on your chest ... would be a lot easier to cope with those boxes "two-handed" .
Easier to the head. It's pretty boxy. 😜😁
in 1974 I was 5 years old

Of the vehicle those boxes came off. 😉
If you find any Airscrew Weyroc centrifugal fans in there I'll buy em.
all looks like hospital call buttons and suchlike
Drill the locks out 😅😂
I’ll have a couple of those throttle levers off you if you want?
I would be wearing a mask and gloves 🤮
I thought plastic didn't degrade mm
Only into very small fragments that cover everything like desert dust. 😱
Another right old load of kelter !!!!

Sell each item for a pound a piece and you will make some money back mate
I'll take 110,000 of those capacitors ha ha ha and we have reached the red light district in your back garden ha ha ha
Just come across your channell , you have cornered the market on door pin switches , do you have enough capacity to stash the capacitor could you try and of load the brand new alarm stuff to halfords or maybe a carboot person
Get out while you can 😂😂😂😂 only joking Adam is very entertaining
Most of that is from the military.
The capacitors are tantalum units.
Mostly brand new obsolete stuff, worthless.
Everything has a value.
