Madtv was in syndication from 2001 to 2008 . When it aired on comedy central , it was cut down to 30 minutes....removing certain sketches and musical performances . Haven't seen it since on television.
@InTheYear I know . I grew up watching it on saturday nights at 11pm . I was saying that in syndication they usually cut out 45 minutes of the show for 30 minutes broadcast . Back in 2001, the show first went in syndication on TNN (The Nashville Network) , renamed Spike TV years later .
It was also on Comedy Central - i live in Britain and we didn’t get it on TV here so I grew up watching it on RUclips, some of the videos have Comedy Central logos too, I think mainly for those countries that didn’t have FOX
@@LifeOfJimbo I was a Canadian staying up at 11pm to watch MadTV then South Park right after. MadTV when it was running was aired on Fox, at least in BC (West Coast).
I had my first child in 1999. I was 21 and lived, (still do), in a tiny wee village in the Scottish highlands where being knocked-up outside wedlock was frowned upon. I got so much hassle and my folks booted me out of the house. Anyway, I’d still go back to 90s as things definitely seemed better then. Everything seemed more optimistic. Maybe every generation says that. We didn’t have MadTV here and I’m so glad I can watch it here - it kicks the arse of any other show like it and I wish it was still on the go. SNL is as lame as a stale fart and I’ll never understand why it’s still being made when it’s clear it’s lost any sparkle it had.
@@Highland_MooI enjoyed reading your comment. It was posted 4 days ago as I write this so I missed you but not by much. Am I talking strange? No, and I'm thinking less strange than what I'm writing, thankfully. Regarding being shamed and scorned upon, my ex wife, her mom and her mom's mom, all three were knocked up out of wedlock! I was responsible and stepped it up by starting my own business and asking her to marry me which she did. Her mom and grandma married strange dudes who then raised the "bastard child" etc etc etc. Lots of great details all throughout of course but....my so-called legacy will die and be laid to rest along with me, probably with zero fanfare or even a handful of people taking notice. My friend and I used to help friends if they moved from one flat to another because we drove trucks, we were available, always for free we paid for petrol etc....people who are scraping just to barely get by need any break they can get and that was understood by me...anyway we had a friend named Linda, just her, we moved all her things 3 times. Not 3 trips~1 move, 3 complete moves. When I had my business, owner operator of a small espresso bar, I kept plenty busy with that. One of my customers, his name was Buddy? I think and being from Hawaii he didn't have any family or friends to give him some help moving to his new place(which was a third floor apartment) so he asked me if I would help. Peak sketch comedy 4 sure. MADtv made SNL step their game up too. The Will Ferrell/Cheri Oteri/Molly Shannon/Tim Meadows era with Tina Fey writing. 9/11 ruined this country.
Right?? I always loved Phil since discovering this show back in 2006, I live in Britain, and we didn't get it on TV here, so I grew up watching it on RUclips but Phil is totally Underrated
That Bill Maher was one of my family favorites of all time on this show. Michael McDonald is an absolute nutcase 😂😂😂. Then Debra’s bipolar, crazy assed Bunifa character 💀😂. I worked at a White Castle in the hood and I swear like half the females that came in as customers acted EXACTLY like Bunifa. Hot and flirty one second while ordering, then cold af if one minor thing was wrong in their order and start going OFF. 😂😂😂
Yes! I have always thought this. Phil LaMarr is totally underrated. I own every single episode of MAD TV, which is how I was able to upload this one. I won't post more in case I get copyrighted.
These two women are more talented than any woman I’ve ever seen on SNL. I can’t believe they’re no more famous. The only female comedian on SNL that made me laugh was Kristin wig.
Damn I miss madtv this show was so awesome it went after everyone all the celebrities. It was way much more funnier than snl the cast was more racial accepted it had asian actor that was Booby lee n Latino Hispanic actors . Snl does not have that nobody sees that nor caughts that it's ashame that this show got cancelled. ❤😅😂📺
It's very dated, the original song was barely a hit, and most prob don't know what it's referencing. Even knowing the context it is still mildly funny and was way too long
Yeah, I know….I heard your wife complaining you always get there first and it leaves her unhappy, unsatisfied and lying in a damp spot. Never mind bud, I’m sure you’ll learn to control yourself eventually 😂
6:23, Good God this is hilarious. This kind of rhetoric today is beyond narcissistic and annoying - MAGA Hispanic speaking here - but Mad TV and 90's and beyond comedy was free and unfiltered enough, even here in with Mainstream comedy so that it was actually funny. (Plus Phil Lamarr is a great actor and he does Chris Rock and he's probably the best Michael Jackson impersonator. I actually wonder if making fun of Michael Jackson today in the *thankfully dying* Woke era could be done.
Debra Wilson is a national treasure. Her code switching with Bunifa is perfection.
Debra allowed me to realize at a young age that I was very attracted to women of color.
Stop eating fried chicken ….
Me: watching while eating fried chicken 😂
The George Lucas skit by itself was removed from RUclips, so thank goodness it's included in this package lol.
Stuart. Enuf said. 😅🎉😮
MadTv had no chill!!
Went after everyone
Watchin MadTv in 2023 😂🎉
I was brushing my teeth with this on and almost choke when I heard "Aunt Jar-Jar Mimah"
I read this comment right when he was saying that lol

I think it aired on Comedy Central in Canada, but I'm not sure. I don't know any Canadians to ask.

If I didn't know of Mad TV and saw this out of context, I would think that Michael McDonald were into diaper fetish
Michael played Stuart for ten years and became a fan favourite. I don't know where the idea of Stuart came from, but your comment has me wondering!
Thanks for starting with Phil Lamarr
Phil lamar as Bill Maher is iconic.
Omg I forgot about no sex in the champagne room!!
Damn phil lamar is more talented and likeable than chris rock

ugh.. that first sketch was just wretched
That No Blacks unfunnily dragged on forever.
And now?
