@OkzombieCupcake well that second part just sounds like a lawsuit just waiting to happen…I do agree with the junk yard -> museum part though…kinda sad to think about all the classic vehicles, some of which you’ll never find anywhere else that just go to shit in junk yards across the world.
Just wanted to let you know that the aluminum tag you found under the passenger seat, is more then likely not a deer tag, but a load seal. Often times, when you were pulling a box trailer, and the load was considered fragile and/or sensitive, the shipper would make you put a seal like this on it. They'd put it on the trailer door once you were loaded, and then the receiver of the load would break the seal upon delivery...thus assuring them that the load was completely undisturbed during the transit. I'd routinely break the seals myself, and when the recipient of the load would ask why on earth I'd do this, I'd tell 'em that I make a routine daily inspection of my loads during my daily pre-trip inspection. I wanted make sure everything is safe and sound, that nothing is leaking, tipping over, or shifting in any way. As the driver of this truck (and the load in it), it is MY responsibility to see that the load is complete and intact, and their stupid little snap tag is not gonna keep the load from being secured or tampered with...but my $300 padlock (from a vault) will! They usually understood once I explained things this way, and I never got into serious trouble for this. (altho some did grumble a bit) Fak 'em! My load, My ass!! Enjoy that over-cab! I drove one identical to it for acouple years. 400 Cummins w/ a 13 speed. Good running old truck!
Wow , the nasty part is done ! Now ole iron duke is on the make . Thats a thorough cleanup and now you can put your skills to work . Those projects are awesome and not many people can take them on .If you need anything out east , parts etc that needs to be shipped or seen first let me know. I can pick up and ship for you if your seller can’t . Awesome stuff Twinsticks

The Porter Dude here.🇺🇸 That’s how I learned to clean the inside of a Cabover out..get the hose, soap, Ajax, brush and clean it out! My brother was assigned an old W9000 Ford Cabover that a smoker was driving. He brought it to our garage, aired it out, washed it thoroughly, then aired it out some more. It was an entire day before he was satisfied, but he didn’t take the upholstery out. 😳 He was good about taking care of that truck…wash, clean, lube etc for as long as he was driving it. When other drivers took it over the truck ended up just sitting around for extra parts after a few years. Good work! That was the right place to start. 🤩 Bring on the other action! 😎✌️
Good morning from Southern California! We appreciate your constant dedication to filming in all the elements of weather. In Southern California it never gets below 45 degrees.Your show is in the elite category in my book. Maybe you could put together a DVD set so fans could buy them. Your show inspires us all. The content you put out is priceless. Stay motivated in working on your projects!
You know you were born to be a trucker, when you actually ENJOY sleeping in a tin box. Best days and nights of my life ... Wish I could afford a "big toy truck" in retirement, but 'Twin Stick Garage' will have to do for now. Thanks for another fun video!!!
Just stumbled across your channel while trying to figure out where the mirror wires route for my 2021 348.....But the first truck I drove was a 1975 359 with a 6&4. It was a low bed truck and I learned so much, and had a ton of fun, driving that old truck. I put 6 years on that truck moving heavy iron up Billy Goat trails for a contractor friend of mine. I got that job because he asked me if I could drive a "twin stick". I said yes.....but I didn't have a clue what that even meant. I figured it out after a few days. Once I understood how to use those gears, I could take that old truck anywhere. After about three months, I went to the owner and said: "I have two requests. First, I need a better seat. Second, I need air conditioning." He obliged. And then I put 550,000 miles on that truck. I like my new truck, but that old 359 was a lot of fun. Great channel. Glad I found it.
That KW cabover really needs a Detroit 2 stroke, something along the lines of a 12v71 with an Ingersoll Rand air start. Something that really makes people crap their pants when you start her up.
You make every week worth the work, love your stuff man.can’t wait to see this big beast back on the roads where it belongs….much love brother ❤️❤️❤️✌️
Hey I drove a coe for the first 10 years that I drove.Dad drove one for 20 years before he finally got a conventional.them guys were a different breed they were a lot tougher than us.
G'day Mark,, Who would of ever thunk just hosing years of dust off an "Old Kenworth" could be so "edge of your seat" interesting . Im happy to say, i waited weeks to see those mice turds get washed away . Great episode Mark ,thanks for bringing it to the faithful . Respect from Down Under
Lol, problem is the trucks nowadays won’t be on the road in 10 years due to all of the electronics and parts unavailabilities. Why keep making parts when they can force you to buy a new one!
I see a LOT of potential in this KW! Other than for all the mice nests and all that comes with it, it cleaned up pretty good! My father drove a 1974 KW for 20 years before he passed. I want to say that it's a B model, much like your Snowman KW. Had a Cummins 300 in it, that was a good truck. One thing that I like about your K100 is that it has the same switches that my dad's truck had and I love those switches!
As someone who's driven a 359 Pete, W925 Kenworth and K125 Kenworth I'll be the first to tell you that you'll drive this truck once and then swear to never drive it again! Hats off to the guys who drove them full time. On a smooth highway they aren't too bad although they do like to lane change without warning. But I live in rural Australia and on old farm tracks and narrow single lane bitumen they are dangerous. Its really hard to see when your eyeballs are vibrating! Then the lack of storage. You put your bag and stuff on the bed, then when you want to go to bed you slither in there like a lizard and move it all the cab, then when you need to go to the toilet in the middle of the night you slither out, move your stuff back into the bed, then repeat the process to go back to bed.
Awesome stuff Mark! Love the true grit determination to see the bigger picture of driving this lovely piece of history on the roads again hopefully next year. I’ll be along for every episode that’s for sure! Keep up the great work 👏
My uncle drove the exact twin to that truck when i was a kid. I spent a LOT of time in that old girl. Lots of great memories and miles growing up. I wish i could find his and restore it, but somewhere on a colony in southern alberta. Maybe one day…
you missed a trucking TV PROGRAM! You need 1 more K100E double bunk for a BJ & THE BEAR TRUCK! oh and the mack truck from Convoy with kris kristopherson
Well isn't this channel the manifestation of the longing of humanity to go back to real analogue things in life. We all live vicariously through your journey. I never touched a truck in my life. lol. but I love the videos - so cool. keep 'em coming...
I like the way you strip a truck down when we stripped the inside of Kenworth there a thin layer of insulation this was 2 year's ago so what we did for putting insulation back in the truck we sprayed foamed insulation in the Cab it was alot of work but he is not cold anymore he lives in northern Minnesota look forward to your next video update keep up the great work your doing like Jerry Reed would say We gonna catch you again son we be 10 10 on the side the one and only Iron Duke out

Excellent!! Forgot it was Thursday!!! What a job Mark, you deserve a medal for that!! I mean it's bad enough doing that kind of thing over here (old cars/ old houses) but you've got Hanta virus to deal with as well, don't blame you for the max caution PPE.
Ha! Mark, I've been watch'n and work'n along with you for years but I gotta say, in some strange way, this episode has been for me the most enjoyable! Thanks for everything. Keep up the good work.
I always look forward to the next video, please dont ever stop. I have found the perfect trailer for project snowman. It is an exact trailer that would look great behind the kw. It just outside of monette arkansas, its an old jones truck lines trailer. If i had the extra money, id buy it for you sir
Well no one ever said find from the farmer's fields didn't have it's sh8tty moments and cleaning out after having sat for years is never a fun job it's always a necessary evil, but the quicker you get it over with the better you feel and the better it will be to work in and on. You took the right precautions which is critical cause mice can be some nasty business and at least they were nice enough not to chew everything to pieces surprisingly for having made a home there so long, the interior pieces looked fairly intact and not all chewed up amazingly. But I am sure after having bleached and washed you can at least now open the door without the smell of mice smacking you in the face every time you opened the door and better to get it done now then to roll it in the nice new shop and have to do it there. If you buy a mouser for the shop you will have to come up with a good name for him/her. Nice to see you go it all cleaned up and that's one big task off the board and hopefully if your lucky you can get her blasted before the snow flies and then get her cleaned up before you stick er in the shop.. Look forward to the next update and a more fun for you video. lol
I like how you said "on my next truck" I knew 3 bays were not enough in that new garage......would love to see the silver and blue truck from smokey and the bandit 2 built if your looking for ideas 😉👍 😅🤣😂😊

Very cool! My Dad had a K100 back in the 70’s when I was a a kid. Had a lot of great times running the road with my Old man back when I was young enough to sleep across the dog box! I will definitely be tuning in for this one. Good luck!! Nice shop. I tried to include a pic but I guess RUclips won’t allow that in the comments.
The insulation Kenworth installed in those trucks years ago was simply A JOKE....No wonder Guys froze in those iceboxes...AMAZING. Iknow they had better stuff then that back when that truck sas made. And they still could of kept the truck weight down. Makes me wonder what was in the 80's models when I drove. I know a few times I froze my ass off in the truck, Especially when I was out in Wyoming, and places like that..Great Video Sir. Glad to see another Legend being Saved...Great Job so far..
I've seen paint do that from just a windshield. 1982 Merc, perfect condition that had a windshield leaned against the rear passenger quarter. Under, the paint went all hammertone.
Not going to lie, it was hard to watch that hose going wild inside the truck. However, it must be done! Whenever work gets slow my boss asks me to clean interiors on his trucks since he knows I enjoy doing it. Honestly I struggle sometimes even with newer trucks that haven't had mice infestations. It can be quite a gross task cleaning up other peoples mess, but it's so satisfying as well once it's all done. I know you'll have that interior looking amazing, it's worth the hard work. You'd love the cab overs we have in Australia. They're everywhere, lots of people still running the older cab over Kenworth's too. I'd love to know your thoughts on the more modern ones we have, mainly the K104, K108 and K200. It's a shame the US/Canada never adopted those models over there.
There is an old K100 double bunk with a Cat in it near me that I remember hauling off our logging job. It has been sitting in a field with the drivers door open for years. I am sure it will be much worse than yours so it kind of kills the motivation to even think about a restoration of it! Nice work on your project.
For everyone dealing with the issue of mouse nests.. A solution that has worked for me is to buy some Peppermint Extract and dump, sprinkle and pour copious amounts of the stuff Everywhere inside the cab and sleeper areas. The mice and other critters can't tolerate the scent and the bonus is that it will smell Minty Fresh in a good way !
My next truck 🤣😂😂🥲😆well I see a extension to the shop.Ok you need to have a contest I vote movin on or maybe the rubber duck from convoy no no the blue mule cracker box Ford that Jan Michael Vincent drove……..
Nice to see you working on a cab over. I use to run team in a K-100 and go out for two to three weeks at a time. We would do 4 hours on and 4 hours off. Since watching your vids and if I had the money I would like to restore an 1985 Western Star. I am old Star guy from way back when. Ya trucks siting in a field for years do have critters moving in. At least this k-100 is being saved. Nice vid by the way. You showed the dirty side of truck restoration not just the bling end of things. Have a great day Twin, ya a 3408 in the Pete of your choice with chop sticks would be some project. Tell Mrs Twin Stick to book you in for a meeting at Trucks Anonymous cause I think the dream of a truck with a 3408 in it is not to far away…Smiles
whenever you get a drone mark you should make music videos for each of the trucks with a mix of you driving them and footage from redoing them. LBL would be one piece at a time _obviously_ Snowman would be Eastbound and Down _obviously_ and Iron Duke would be High Rollin _obviously_
We all live through twinsticks lol he does what we dream of doin daily. Restoring old rigs and having fun in the process. Respect
Well said! I do little projects like lawnmowers but ain’t got big enough tools or pockets for these big rigs!
When you think about it…he pretty much runs a retirement home for trucks that have been worked almost nonstop their whole lives…it’s interesting.

I REMEMBER GROWING UP & MY DAD USE TO DRIVE A KW RED & WHITE CABOVER JUST LIKE YOU HAVE & IT REMINDED ME SO MUCH OF ( BJ & THE BEAR )
Looking good man.. lovely looking truck
Great now I want that Freightliner even more! She’s looking much cleaner! Is the High Ballin Truck gonna need new boots too?
Parabéns, vou acompanhar todos os episódios dessa restauração, vale a pena, muito caprichoso.
Gives new meaning to rode hard and hung up wet!!!!
Looks awesome 👌 now you need a ending comment for this project like Little by Little 😀
My favorite channel
I love this, hear you fight in that cab and hear Johnny Cash sing in the background" folson Prison" .
What a great truck, worth the disgusting work, thanks for sharing.
O my god, I am with you in my mind as I see you cleaning up this mice stuff. Hard to imagine the creep and goose bumps, puh!
Good job mate great video love them old cab over's
Man I can see why you hate that part Mark. Truck is looking good and looking forward to the continuation of the build and Project Snowman.
Really recommend getting rid of that old torsion bar suspension really hard to get parts for
And very rough riding.
Looks like it doesn't need too much working inside step some new seats 😉
Big cleanup job, good luck
whenever you get a drone mark you should make music videos for each of the trucks with a mix of you driving them and footage from redoing them.
LBL would be one piece at a time _obviously_
Snowman would be Eastbound and Down _obviously_
and Iron Duke would be High Rollin _obviously_
That metal tag under the passenger seat looks a lot like an old box car tag. I found a whole bunch of them recently.
Good afternoon bud. Hope your doing well 👍🙏😁
I think I'd only go through all that for a 66 needle nose. Not much chance of me finding one UK though. Keep up the good work 😁👍
