This was perfect!!! My stepdaughter asked me to make her stickers for a co-worker. Hadn't done that yet so of course RUclips to the rescue. They came out exactly as you instructed! Thank you!!
Thank you so much for this video! I'm still at the beginner level and there's so much that I see that I can't understand how you make it with the Cricut and stickers that are images was one of them. This makes so much sense now! Really opened things up for me and what I would like to do!
The dimensions were extremely helpful! I kept trying to fill a full 8.5 x 11 in. sheet of paper and couldn't figure out why it wanted me to print on different mats. Thank you so much!
This is a great video- the only thing I find with people that really know how to use the cricut is they assume we all know the ins and outs- so for example- I never heard or tired the offset feature or the flatten- so I really did not know what they were for- but i was able to follow your instructions without really knowing why I chose those two features- I can look them up - but in general- I find all the great projects start from an intermediate level vs a reallly really beginner level- so when you make these just assume all the menu features are new.... like " chose the offset feature- in case you don't know- the word offset means... like I was forever stuck getting text to stay aligned with a cut out because i kept trying to group them- and I did not know about "attach"- anyway- your video is GREAT and I am on it!!!
I’m glad it helps! Unfortunately I can’t answer and explain every single feature in every single video, but I hope the process gave you a starting point!
I was wanting to add sticker packs to the products I’m offering at an upcoming craft show I’m participating in. This will be so helpful for getting started!!
Great video. Question...I have Cricut Smart Paper Sticker Cardstock which is 13X13. Obviously...do I need to trim it to 8 1/2 x 11 before putting into the printer?
This is really helpful. I would like to know how to cut the sticker but also leave a border of the bottom paper around the sticker. So it is easy to peel off. Any suggestions are appreciated.
You could try doing a double offset, but that sounds like a lot of unnecessary work (to me), and it would allow less images per page with using up additional room. But a double offset should do it!
I love Neato waterproof paper but it's very difficult to cut because my cricut doesn't recognize the registration marks, I noticed that you didn't have that problem. Thanks for your videos Alex they're so helpful!🙏❤
That’s interesting! I’ve heard some folks struggle with that, but I can’t figure out a rhyme or reason why. I have never had that issue with any of my machines so I’m not any help on how to correct it. Sorry about that!
@@melissapineda4948 you can shut the top lid to keep some light from reflecting off the shiny paper. That usually seems to work for me without needing to use any tape.
I am so glad I found your video! My granddaughters love stickers. So I thought they would find it special if grandma made them. I did subscribe to your channel! If I click print from the cricut app will it automatically print because my printer is connected to my computer? Or do I need to do something else? I just got my cricut for Christmas!
Awesome Tonya! Welcome! Yes, if your printer is connected to your printer then it should print easily. Go back and watch the part about printer settings though because that can make all the difference!
Do you have to have a certain printer? I am new to using the cricut and my sister want me to make my niece some stickers for her birthday. But your video was very helpful though and I did subscribe to your page
Hi! this was a great tutorial. Everything went great except for the white border/offset is not even when cut out. I feel like I lined up the paper on my mat basically perfectly... is this just an issue of not being 100% aligned or something? Is there any trick to help this?
Have you tried calibrating your machine? Do that first and see if it helps. Some updates in Cricut Design Space can cause funky cutting so it may be the fault of the machine!
ove this tutorial as I am a newbie. I was trying to cut stickers tonight and my page didn't seem to be as wide as yours. Once I put my and the sticker paper on my standard grip mat to cut with my cricut, the black margin line around all my stickers was just past the 5 on my mat. I adjusted my margins at the top to be what was maximum and the only way I could get it to print was leaving the H margin at 9.2 and then the H margin then goes to 4.356. Can you guide me to what I'm doing wrong? Thanks from a newbie!
Can I use the blade that came with the cricut to have it cut right through, because when i get to the light cardstock part it tells me i need a different blade to cut and is blocked out from being used; I used another option and it cut fine but not right through and Im also in need of calibrating my cricut bc it was just a bit off when cutting lol
What if the images don't show up once I do all that and I get over to printing it? I'm struggling, not sure what I am doing wrong. 😕 any advice would be greatly appreciated 😊
I would use something like Starcraft printable vinyl with a UV laminate since the mugs will need to be hand washed. But this method will work fine for mugs!
How is everyone able to use this glossy paper? I've spent all day trouble shooting using the glossy with my Cricut (started with nothing, then tried matte tape, tried highlighting the border, tried painters tape, made sure no overhead lights were interfering) and it can't cut because the light is bouncing off the glossy paper. Open to suggestions, because I would really love for this to work. Thanks!
Honestly some Cricut machines just really struggle with this and I've never seen a work around other than what you've already tried. Sorry I can't be more help!
@@DIYAlex Thank you - I have since reached out to Cricut and they're saying they're working on the software issues involved. Doesn't help me make stickers (aka side hustle), but at least they're working on it. Hopefully everyone else with the same issue is contacting them as well.
did exactly what you said. Followed each step exactly. First it cut around both the image, and offset. Second the cuts were off centre of each image, and each image was cut more off centre than the previous... What happened
I just tried to make stickers using ALL of your tips and my cricut could not read the sensor lines. The lines are very pronounced. I have never had this happen on regular print and cut but it doesn't want to sensor the lines. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. :)
One tip I have heard is to put scotch tape over your censor (on the bottom of the clamp) to help reduce any glare from the glossy paper. Try that and see if it works!

This just took me to another thing to do with my cricut!
Hi, Alex! Great tutorial! Do I need the grip mat with a Cricut Maker 3 or can I insert the vinyl on its own?
You need the mat always unless you’re using smart materials
Thank you for and excellent tutorial
Hi I love the tutorial. I was wondering how do you get the stickers off the mat. I struggle to and crinkle my stickers by accident.
Flip the mat over and pull the mat away from the stickers and see if that helps!

Your Cricut cuts based on what is on the prep screen (after you click Make It in the canvas).
I love me some stickers.
Love it, you did an amazing job. Can't wait to try!
Thank you!! Be careful, it’s addictive! 😍
Can you use just removable vinyl, offset and flatten then cut without the print and cut method? Thank you
Printers can’t print directly on adhesive vinyl. So you have to use a printable product. ☺️
Do you have to have a certain printer? I am new to using the cricut and my sister want me to make my niece some stickers for her birthday. But your video was very helpful though and I did subscribe to your page

The only way to increase the registration marks is to add more objects to be printed. Just add a few more small objects to increase margins ☺️
Do you have a recommendation for sticker paper that is easily removable? For those of us who don't like committing
I haven’t come across a removable sticker paper. Sorry!
@@DIYAlex Thank you for the response! Do you find that this paper is super difficult to remove or leave a residue?
How long do they normally take to dry? I made some last night using the same Neato glossy recommended paper but they're rubbing off.
I don’t normally have any dry time! I’m not sure why the ink isn’t setting for you!
Love your tutorial. Do you have any using an ipad?

Yes, you only need the fine point blade for this project, which is what came with your machine. Calibrating your machine is definitely a good idea!
@@DIYAlex Ive done that, thank you :)
Question for clarity...what products, software, and machines will be needed to make my own stickers?
yes! - Lindsay
Have you ever had a problem wit the cricut not ready the black square around the stickers due to paper being super glossy?
Yes I have!! I have a video coming out about this soon!
Is there a way to print and cut straight from the Cricut instead of going through the other printer?
In order for it to be a print then cut project, it has to go through your printer first.
What if the images don't show up once I do all that and I get over to printing it? I'm struggling, not sure what I am doing wrong. 😕 any advice would be greatly appreciated 😊
Do you mean you can't see them on the print preview, or they aren't showing up on the sticker paper?
Would this would for applying to mugs and such?
I would use something like Starcraft printable vinyl with a UV laminate since the mugs will need to be hand washed. But this method will work fine for mugs!
Good Morning!!! I don't have a printer can the same results be done without the printer?
You can cut out designs using vinyl, HTV, etc, but you need a printer to make designs like this.
Can i make them without offset (which in layman's is just the border.......right?)
Correct! You can make them without a border if you want to!
When they're officially printed out, do they have the backings on them so you can peel then off later down the line?
Yes, sticker paper has backing on it!
So you can’t just do it straight to your cricut? You need to print them on a page off a different printer first ?
Correct. The Cricut has no ink, so that comes from the printer.
My son keeps asking for stickers. Looks we will have something to work on over the weekend.
This is a Great project to work on together!
Do you need to spray then with clear spray or are they water proof thanks
These are not going to be waterproof with a clear spray. I recommend using a printable vinyl that is waterproof if your stickers are going to get wet.
is the epson printer something you recommend for this or does it matter what printer you use?
If you have any kind of inkjet printer, that will work! If you are looking for a recommendation, I really like mine!
@@DIYAlex Exactly what kind of Epson printer is your's?
I have an iPad Pro and it doesn't have the offset option on it? Is this only for desktop use? Many thanks x
Yes, my understanding is that offset will only be available on the desktop version of design space.
Do I have to use special ink in my printer?
Not for this project. Regular Inkjet ink is fine.
I don’t see the “offset” feature in Design Space? I’ve been using the app on my iPad. Is it only on the computer?
Yes, as of right now offset is only available on desktop versions of Cricut Design Space.
Would this work on an explore?
Yes absolutely!
When do you put the thermal tape?
No thermal tape is needed for this project.

Can I use a inkjet printer on that paper? I’ve had issues with ink not always staying….
Yes, inkjet printers are compatible with this sticker paper.
@@DIYAlex awesome thanks
Does this paper stay waterproof with the ink jet ink? or will the ink bleed
It is marked as waterproof so it shouldn’t bleed. Granted doing something like soaking it probably isn’t a good idea either.
Hey just wondering what ink do I need to use to make stickers
Most products are compatible with Inkjet ink.
I just tried to make stickers using ALL of your tips and my cricut could not read the sensor lines. The lines are very pronounced. I have never had this happen on regular print and cut but it doesn't want to sensor the lines. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. :)

Do you upload each image 1 by 1 or can you upload several?
Unfortunately we only have the option for one at a time in design space currently.
Can you design your own stickers and use those?
Yes
What printer are you using?
Epson Ecotank 2720 now (it was a different printer when this video was made)! Any inkjet printer will work great!
Can u use any printer to print stickers???
If it’s an inkjet printer and you’re using an inkjet compatible product, then yes. Most home printers are inkjet printers.
IS THE PRINTER A REGULAR OR SUBLIMATION PRINTER
It's a regular inkjet printer
Can Cricut cut more than one sticker sheet?
You can only put more than one mat in the machine at a time, but you can do projects with multiple mats (meaning also multiple sticker sheets).
Do you have to add an offset?
No it's optional.
So you need a color printer?
If you want to print in color, then yes.
I've tried this paper before and my ink rubs off. What am I doing wrong? Any tips??
