Hey Corey watching you deep clean this PC is truely theraputic and love watchig your vids. This has to be one of the best PC cleanup vids ive seen on RUclips. Great work sir. If there were no motherboard standoffs, how did the rear IO match the cutout in the case?
Honestly no idea haha, but i would imagine that the back of the motherboard was sitting on the case and that shorted it out which is why we had a dead motherboard
I hate cleaning out my PC, because I don't know or am afraid to take any of the parts off, lol. SO I do my best, but mine has never looked that bad. I need to get better at doing the cleaning stuff though, because yours turned out so well and mine looks clean but there is still dust I can't get to.
Yeah it can be abit scarey but hopefully by watching a couple of youtube building tutorials you will know how to put it back together. You can even use abit of tape to lable the cables to help you out qbit
ADVICE NEEDED- PC wont boot into windows it powers on but can not seem to get into windows, I've tried reinstalling windows using the media creation tool and selecting it as the boot option in the bios but still nothing. please someone help
When you have these systems and write off the board as dead, do you ever swap out the onboard battery to rule it out, or just easier to move on from it?
Since the power button cables were broken and needed to be re-soldered, I wonder if the original motherboard was actually fine and just never got signals to power on?
The last owner bolted the mobo to the case. Might have buggered the board doing that. Might try setting up and testing the board outside the case before discarding it.
I don't believe that I saw you reseat the CPU. That would have been an easy troubleshooting technique to show that the motherboard is bricked. You didn't look at the socket either to see if there were any bent pins either. Just some thoughts.
Oh my goodness where did you get that. I really think it's one I built and sold on eBay forever ago. The mismatched ram gave it away. That's the case mobo gcard everything. I think I got some components on Newegg and put the rest together with what I had. But it could just be common parts still funny though

I used isoprophel alcohol, im not using an ultrasonic because then you guys dont get to see the process of cleaning, its hidden in the cleaner so what would i film?
Quicker way to clean that motherboard, just remove the CMOS battery and shove it in the dishwasher. Obviously requires longer drying time, but will leave it sparkling clean.
the pc tower was placed on the floor with carpeting -> dead human skin cells along with all that smoking and cooking grease lead to caking on the intake dust panel/grill.

When you said the guy had the motherboard screwed directly to the case, without the special screws, I knew it was dead.
That 850w power supply is worth more then the all components 😅

i was about to comment that to
why would he not just use another 450 wat psu

wow the acrylic fan 14:45 is so nostalgia, you can see the texture when the light shines on it and its so beautiful
no standoffs?! .. few of my customers did the same thing .. all their boards fried! they thought of assembling their own pc ..
Instant short to the mobo by screwing it directly to the case
exactly .. so this board in the video must be fried .. so sad ..
🙂 thats why nowadays most pc's come preinstalled with standoffs because of normies
oic, but so far in Singapore I did not come across any. actually that would be nice, one less job for me. :P
Yeah unfortunately i believe this is why the mobo died

What is the song playing during this part?
It reminds me of the 80s movies I used to enjoy watching.
That 850 PSU can drive 3 of those bangers.
Haha it sure can
7 np that whole rig draws 100w lol
Dude your smile is super infectious, I love it! Keep it up man. Definitely got my sub
Was there something with the mismatched RAM as the end result was with just only the 2x4GB kit?
Yeah unfortunately those sticks were dead
I don't get why people who sell their PCs online don't bother to clean it.
because they arrre arrabs or crackheads
Cant be bothered i guess
The lack of cleaning is an indication of laziness. They for sure when clean it when it comes to selling

Great idea!
Brush for painting walls, smaller size- that's easier to use and is flexible but gentle to penetrate every gap
why you dont paint Powersuply black so it match the chassi ?

No i was jumping the mobo manually
So with all that hard work and the new parts added, what are you gonna sell the 10 year old, not W11 compatible, PC for?
Good Job, nice work well done. I enjoyed this video.
what are you dipping your toothbrush in to clean the motherboard and fan???
I use isoprophel alcohol
Satisfying clean but that power supply totals that computer 2 times over, haha!
Haha it sure does!
You should do another one. These are fun I love your videos.
More to come!
That antec psu keep going, had same experience with These

. . . For $50 US expectations are minimal . . . 😂
how did you know if it was broken or not if you never tried it before proceeding to clean it ?
The mobo is dead
For how much would u sell that ?
I would never bring cockroaches in my home, because if there was even 1 alive, you are now invested.
Straight to the bin with that power supply for me, props for trying it out though😅
Bolting the mobo straight into the case without standoffs likely caused it to short out at some point.
Great video, nice job
Thanks!

Yeah i did all of that, i even tried other cpus =)
The 200 gb was for the os I like to have separate storage. I could still be wrong though
Honestly 90% of the time Ive got stuff used, it only needed to be air-blasted to get rid of the dust.

bro that powersupply its just overkill for that pc bro, worths tripple than the pc

why did you go to all the trouble of cleaning the PSU up for, without even testing to see if it works first ?
Why not?
Wow, that system was absolutely feral.
Loads of room in that case for some water cooling! 😁
Indeed!!
Remember them two holes at the top??
That was the clue, that this case came "water cooling ready".
There sure is
I wonder how long these HD have been on. Maybe check it with Crystal to know? I bet it's about 1000 days or more
The RM850x in this system is WILD.
Ooh, dust creeped onto the cpu from the slightly lifted cooler.
I5 4460 is not that bad at all. U can pair it with an RTX3060TI, 2x16GB 2133MHz ram, 2TB sata 3 ssd, 650W seasonic psu and its good to flip it.
Yeah its a decent little cpu
No. The CPU Would bottleneck the gpu, the motherboards pci express has not enough lanes. The microstuttering would be all over the place

Usually, it's a REALLY GOOD IDEA to check the components before assembly.

And,why not to utilise ALL the ram??
