Thanks for this! So basic but nobody covers this. One note, you can hit 0 on the num pad to get out of camera view so you don't have to unlock camera to view. Just another way to do that that I find a little easier. Looking forward to your other tuts.
Another cooler way. Go to settings, performances, Select Key map, Type Fly in the search bar. Select which key your going to use to move the camera, (I use Shift F)
"Walk Navigation" mode is better. Enter camera mode with 0 and then enter walk navigation (Shift + ~) to move the camera with FPS controls. Q and E are for elevation. Doing it this way is faster, since you don't have to uncheck "camera to view". Bonus walk navigation controls: Space to zoom to cursor, scroll wheel to adjust speed. You can even add gravity to walk and jump around in your scene
got any idea why i cant do anything with my camera at all i have to manually move it i cant lock it to my view i cant ctrl-alt-0 it to my view and even using the menu instead of the keybinds doesnt work it changes nothing
@@cig44 the crtl alt 0 only works if you have the separate panel for numbers on the right side of your keyboard, I don't know what it's called but it's in a 3x3 formation, with zero at the bottom. Press zero from there, not from the top of your keyboard
@@justArandomfellar ye numpad thats what im doing but i cant do anything with camera like i said not even the menu things work or locking the cam to view doesnt work
Thanks! What is the shortcut to reset the rotation of the camera back to default? Someone said it, but I forgot. Update: it is alt+r to reset rotation and alt+g to reset location.
sometimes works. sometimes seems not to. when it seems locked in, still I go to render and it's in a different view. camera seems one of hardest things to learn so far...
It´s not working in my current file. But when I start a new file, it works. Why? Just figure out now. It´s a "viewport dependent" function. I checked it in a different viewport that I´m working.... 🙃
damn, this is the worst possible way they could make a camera system, coming from unreal trying to do render in blender is like went from driving a car to riding a horse and the horse is high
As an 11 years old kid, you have to learn Physics first before you can use blender. I wouldn't say that the camera in blender is like mine-imator where you can just use AWSD to move it as if it was a game. I'm just new to it, but I realized I don't need to learn Physics cuz I learned how to draw without sketching too
My voice is naturally deeper and relaxed, but I raise it and add energy when creating content because I think my voice is boring and too relaxing. Sometimes I'm too tired to do it, and sometimes I forget.
Thank god its here. I did this before then forgot. Everyone teaches u everything except this. What we really need.
same bro
After 2 hours of searching this was what I was looking for. Finally, thanks TutsByKai 😃
