I’m so glad RUclips decided this should show up in my recommended feed. Beautiful cover of an incredibly tricky song. NIN has been my favorite band for nearly 30 years and Perfect Drug is such a chaotic percussion track! I most recently saw them live in ‘22 and aimed for the drum side of the stage because it’s just so mesmerizing to watch. I remember telling my partner that if they played perfect drug he would need to move out of my way so I could get a clear view of Ilan because I couldn’t even imagine how one could play it live. They played it and he was amazing. He has a number of live drum cam videos on his RUclips channel now which is rad.

Can’t get enough of this video. Totally insane. It gives an already great song some extra punch too. There’s a really good, fun, 15 minute breakdown of this performance on another RUclips channel. It’s a drum guy from Australia or New Zealand talking about it and his mind is continually blown.

Learned about Delta from Ola's Cemetery Gates cover and I was like look at this fucking dude. After the song I was like holy shit this guy is the real deal. Saw this covered and that was it, totally sold and will be buying his stuff and subbed. One of the tightest in the slot drummers I have heard, and the kit is insane. I've been wanting to see a great live version of this basically since this track was released in 1997. Trying to learn that solo was like the holy grail of our high school drumline.
