NomadFisherman so I believe this is the barracks I was in. At 3:57 theres cabinet/lockers or whatever. The rifles are stored in there. This would be Black Friday so they don’t have their rifles just yet
They never show the physical abuse you go through being there, drowning in the poole for those that cant swim only last minute being pulledout, When on rifle range having fire ants poured on your back or while in the prone position having someone stand on your ankles, having the entire platoon slap the back of your head bc a DI said fix him, being made to hold/squat up one end of the rack up as a DI works your ribs for you, being made to go into the wall locker and DIs having the guide and squad leaders beat you. Cold nights in the river if your bravo company, being put in a footlocker and kicked down the stairs if your a small guy, being put into a high left knee with one rock or a magazine under your knee holding you up as you go through knowledge classes. Being put into a dryer then its turned on. These are all some of the things you'll see and have happen to you there that will never be shown that's why they're so many suicides. But you got to get used to chaos if you want to be a marine. Still the best time I've ever had.
Erick Palmer depends. Being a Ranger is harder then any MOS in the marines except MARSOC which is kinda comparable. Army is soft or hard, depends on what your MOS and unit is.
Master Cydro damn that’s crazy but thank you for your service I’ll be joining soon I just need to lose 20 pounds and pass the math portion of the Asvab the Army I go
Thank you kindly, but I dont deserve that credit haha. You'll do good, just eat right, workout hard, and keep your spirit up high. It sucks. I'm going to sign to the Army next week, I havent picked an MOS yet, but itll be a breeze compared to the marine bootcamp haha. You'll do good on your asvab, and once you pass and ship off, just remember why your there, and never give up on yourself or your peers. Its 90% mental and 10% physical. My senior drill instructor told us that.
Thats the thing about these videos, the Army, Navy and Airforce have to go full throttle when the cameras are rolling...the Corps has to throttle down when the cameras are present.
Not true. Speaking from experience, Army gets soft when camera's are rolling. They get a whole lot "nicer" with cameras around. Cameras are gone, the drill sergeants are demons. Never in my life have i ever hallucinated screaming before or had my legs shake from doing so many pushups. I didn't even know legs could shake from doing pushups. Making the walls sweat. All the stupid games that they played as well. Honestly there's a lot of wannabe Marines on the internet that love to brag about how tough marine boot camp is...but i have yet to hear or see anything that is truly more difficult than anything i saw in Army basic.
Oh yes, I remember Black Friday like it was yesterday. You feel a chill through the whole room when your introduced to your Drill Instructors. Evil Echo Empire is quite the company. We had to tear off our linen, and make our racks every single morning, and every single night. If I remember, it was the platoon underneath my bay, that their Drill Intructors made them empty out the war bags and proceeded to stomp and jump on those items and made the platoon clean it up, and the bay next to us had to put the mattresses out the portholes and back in.
I enlisted to the Corps, but I was medically sent back home. We were issued our uniforms, and yes we had to wear our go fasters. We werent allowed to wear our combat boots until the 2nd week. I was 2nd battalion Echo company platoon 2110. It was constant screaming and moved with a purpose, I miss it. My drill instructors definitely taught me more about myself and my limitations, if I could, I'd do it again. However, since I cant, I'm going army. Havent picked a MOS yet.
Crazy as hell, I Was in 1st Btn, Delta Company. If you were issued a DD-214, look at your Re-enlistment code, and talk to a Marine Recruiter. Hell I’d do anything to go back as well
Was at MCRD San Diego Nov 8 2015, April 16th 2016, 3rd and 2nd Bat, Lima and Echo CO, PLT, 3249 and 2110, medical ELSed, knee injury now at 20% disability with the VA and unable to re-enlist due to medical. But seeing how we where both Echo and 2110 where you at PI or MCRD?
For the ones that don’t know, those last few seconds of the clip, that kid getting getting reprimanded by that staff sergeant, his budy was looking at him instead of to the front, a DI was on his way to wreck his world, you’re welcome.
In May 1976 after 12 weeks of Basic Training I became a US Marine and did my first tour with an extension in service and rose to Staff Sergeant promotable. In January 1982, after the Marines, I joined the US Army Infantry (the toughest basic training any soldier can experience as a soldier) and again went through 12 weeks of OSUT (One Station Unit Training) as an NCO with the US Army Infantry at Fort Benning. I can tell you right now, Army Drill Sergeants could never even think to compare with a Marine Corps Drill Instructor. I'm sorry, but you don't even produce the same product. So you can sit there with your commentary and compare and pick stuff apart you have no understanding of Drill SERGEANT but KNOW THIS FOR SURE you are not a US Marine; the Army does not make them and they can't be duplicated. Army basic training is literally like playing in a sandbox compared to the Marines. Now a lot of people may have their OPINIONS as you do, BUT I HAVE THE PERSONAL EXPERIENCE OF HAVING GONE THROUGH 24 WEEKS OF BASIC TRAINING. 12 weeks of it with the Marines (12 weeks of MCRD) and then I went to the fleet with the 1st, 3rd and 4th Divisions and 12 weeks of basic with the Army having served with the 24th Inf; 1st IDF; 1st Cav; 3rd Armored. I'm proud of both branches of service, but the truth is, there is no comparison at ALL...none....when a soldier gets through his basic, he still does not have the discipline, esprit de corps or the motivation and mindset of what it takes to be a United States Marine. Nope not even in the US Army Infantry or the Rangers. In fact, as I went through PLDC at Fort Stewart, I had to help a Ranger find his way in the dark back to post during our finals week because he couldn't read a compass in the dark. And they gave me the Commandants list when I certainly beat him out too, but they wanted the guy from the 1/75 Rangers to stand tall and out front because he was SUPPOSED TO BE the elite fighter (smh). It was a political joke....still, having been a Marine previously kept making me the top soldier over and over. I can't tell you how many soldier of the day and trooper of the day citations I received and I don't know many E-5's with a Meritorious Service Medal...but that's all General John Yeosock could think to pin on my chest. What you agree to or disagree to, makes me no difference, you just have an opinion. I HAVE AN EXPERIENCE...I can speak to it objectively, honestly and accurately. As far as a fighting force, the Marines are the cream of the crop. As far as basic training, the Army is like a Day care center for toddlers in comparison. I wish I had better news, but here it is...THE REAL DEAL. THE SARGE - USMC/ US ARMY INFANTRY
@@jordanplummer9400 IN THE 70'S IT WAS....FULL METAL JACKET IS AN ACCURATELY AND VERY REAL DEPICTION OF WHAT I ENDURED IN MCRD TRYING TO BECOME A MARINE....I LOVED THE ARMY, I TRULY DO...but I was there and I can honestly compare.
Yes! That was to stamp your name on your things. We Didnt have the name tapes so we had to stamp the inside collar of out camie blouses, underwear and pretty much everything.
You know you have been around for awhile when you watch this and remember making your name stamps like it was a hell version of arts and crafts. Or using a sharpie to color your name in with stencils. Not to mention god rest your poor soul if you are unfortunate like I was to have a unique last name. Your name will make you the new pet for atleast one drill instructor. Good times thought. When all is said and done the pride your drill instructors have on their faces when you graduate is priceless.
For the first week aboard either recruit depots we wear our camis and our “go fasters “ or sneakers when we get our actual drill instructors then we start wearing our boots with unbloused trousers then following initial drill we start blousing our boots
In recruit training, they yell at you to hurry up in the squadbay. Then when you run to hurry up, they yell at you for running. Marine DI's are really good at making it a lose-lose situation haha!! When I was in, they called you homophobic names. Everything was fair game except for race.
That’s Lima, 3rd Battalion. I was Kilo Company Platoon 3226. Lima came right after us. We would have a competition with what Company could IT the kids the most.
Jesus Torres you do know that the Army has different lengths of boot camp right? What I mean is those going into a non combat MOS go to boot camp for about 8 weeks, but those going into infantry or cavalry scout are looking at 14 weeks. Which Army boot camp would you like her to use?
In garrison, the Drill Instructors wear their service uniforms depending on the weather, and that’s mainly during First and Third Phases at MCRD San Diego. During rifle training and qualification, and during field training, the DI’s will wear cammies (camouflaged utilities).
To answer your question, the recruits were wearing their go fasters cause they were just issued their boots right before this. And the drill instructors were wearing their uniforms cause every Friday is graduation day and all the marines wear the uniform that the graduating company is wearing that day
You earn the right to wear the uniform throughout the 3 months. After receiving you wear combat boots, unbloused trousers, button up blouse. After 1st drill (1 month), you can then unbutton your blouse and begin blousing your trousers. After final drill (2.5 months) you get your name tapes. After the crucible you earn the eagle globe and anchor and start to wear the jungle boots. Complete evolution
I am so glad you decided to react to this video!! I love you Erika!! I really want to collaborate with you!! I currently have a friend that is currently in Marine Corps Bootcamp!!
Rah Drill Sergeant, to answer some of the questions you had.... Recruits are issued their cammies and everything during Receiving however, they must earn the right to wear their boots so they wear their "go fasters" during Receiving, Processing, and Forming and will then switch to boots on Training Day 1. Recruits must earn basically every part of their uniform starting with their boots, then the right to blouse their trousers, their nametapes, and eventually their watches which are NOT worn until after Crucible which is their culminating event (similar to the Forge). When Recruits are on line, the Drill Instructors will count down every movement ending with "ZERO" to which the Recruits respond back with "DONE SIR/MAAM" some Drill Instructors will have their Recruits respond with "FREEZE OR DIE" when they say "ZERO" Recruits are also NOT allowed to say I, Me, or My. It is only "This Recruit" they also do not have a rank. Their "rank" is Recruit and the worst thing to be called as a Recruit is "Disgusting civilian Recruit" that literally hurts more than being called stupid, fat, busted, ugly, etc This is only Black Friday or "pick-up" when Recruits arrive to MCRD they get basically what you all call "shark attack" they get off the bus and get annihilated from that point on until pick-up day and then get even more destroyed during Forming Days with their actual training Drill Instructors! So much fun and I'd like to note that MY pick-up day was on Halloween 2015...scariest day of my life 😂
Once the camera is off, the whole house will be a tornado. Racks, beds, bed sheets will be in the middle, on the opposite of the squad bay. Your issue item will be mixed with other recruits.
The uniforms they’re wearing are the Service Charlie’s, the same trousers with a long sleeve khaki shirt and tie are the Service Bravos and the green trousers, long sleeve khaki shirt and tie with the green over coat is the service alphas
Pete Pete Pumkineat Do you HAVE to be Recon for that? In the Army, due to the whole "we may need to mass drop bodies into a warzone" mentality, everyone can get a slot. Whether you make it is another issue
this video is so tame. I wish there were videos of a tornado. Its when the Drill instructors have you dump your foot locker and seabag in the middle of the room and then you throw your mattresses and bunks themselves in the middle of the room. I remember my first tornado. The Drill instructors looked like freaking demons.
the fact there is no "BULKHEAD LINE RIGHT NOW" at all in the video just shows how watered down it is....also shit isnt tossed all over the place yet....no DIs really teaming up on recruits, I remember it being way more hectic than this....but again this is for youtube
Bro I go to boot camp once, it was hell for me... My school ask for a volunteer for joining a boot camp and I signed in because my dad says that it will be your most memorable time in your life, and so I sign in. And I regret it,soo much that I almost puke because of the adrenaline rushing through me. I remember so much that I still remember that I fucked up when I'm doing one of the task that everybody should do.. Find my card, simple right?noo... My bag is full of shit and I forgot where I put my card cuz I was being yelled by 3 drill instructor, not just that almost all of my squad is looking at me. My hand tremble so much that I almost drop my card because of the trembling. To be honest it was fun really but once you've been gank by the Drill Instructor, do your best not to keep them waiting.
A how was it that you spent 9 months in basic! I’m a former 8411 Recruiter and we recruiters serve in the same command as DI’s! And I know everything about the Corps...ergo even if you’re hurt like a broken leg; if you’re put on training hold till you recover.... you’re actually medically separated from the Marine Corps if your delay is more than 4 months! So 9 months?! Look basic is only 12 weeks long?! Something sounds suspicious!
@@waynefletcher9884 bullcrap. There was plenty of guys in MRP that had been in Basic well over 6 months. The only thing that's suspicious is your lack of knowledge.
A well the Marine Corps can adjust their regulations.... and the requirements are not static and may have changed since I was in?! But again, it’s highly unlikely the norm to keep recruits in the service for anything longer than 3-4 months. Albeit, not unheard of?! But highly unlikely! I just checked with my counterparts who are still in.... and they fully concur with my summation !
We didn't have any drill sergeant like you when I was going to basic. just hardcore dudes are allowed to knock the snot out of but that was in the good old days lol. You should do a reaction video to Green Beret training and sniper
Having gone through PI in 1964, I can say this video as all others on Marine Corps boot camp are very censored. Drill Instructors are told not to swear at or strike a "boot". BUT, when I went through they did not always follow the rules. What I would like to say is the one or more DI's jumping over seabags better be very, very careful. Having a sense of humor, the first time he trips over a seabag he will hear some giggles. God help the recruit caught giggling over a DI tripping over a seabag. I will never forget smiling about something a DI said........that was the only time I was touched. Punch in the gut sent me to my knees :)

@@hugeprostate1904 Jim, I was not in your platoon but I still have to say, SOME of what wrote appears to be a little farfetched or extreme. Considering a DI rating depends on a recruits marksmanship, I find it hard they would harass a recruit at the range. Yes, they did step on some ankles but that was so your ankles or heels were flat since that was better to steady your shot at the target. I was not low enough in the sitting position, so a DI sit on my shoulders and bounce up and down to get me lower :) Maybe that is why I have a bad back today.
@@cpl.linkis9623 ever platoon and company is different, and it's the marksman instructors who are dependent on score. That drill instructor isnt a drill instructor now, he took a NJP and is now a mcmap instructor on PI
@@hugeprostate1904 I went through Boot Camp at PI in august of 64, 1st Battalion, Platoon 176, I haven't seen or experienced some of the stuff you said, especially on the Rifle Range, there everything and everybody is more low key. While in the prone position I did get kicked in the nuts because I couldn't see the target spotted for my hits. I learned fast. Semper Fi brother.
You get all your gear and have to do a lot of stuff before even getting to the barracks . We wear our sneakers or as they say in boot camp “ go fasters “ . Then sometime during that first week we put our boots on but we don’t blouse them until 2nd phase after Initial drill . Everything is earned from being able to blouse your boots , to getting your name tapes on your uniform etc .
yeah, they have their go-fasters on (running shoes) because they're first phase. They'll get their boots later on in first phase. They can't blouse their boots until second phase, after passing initial drill.
Ahh first day you met your DI LOL there’s so much of yell you kind of confused because it’s hard to understand . So recruits wear the go fasters( sneakers) when they are in molding for a weekish or at least couple days lol hard to tell when you don’t know the time or the days lol however, it gives the recruits somewhat of an idea of what is expected you also don’t get IT or smoke ( Army term) during molding phase. But the recruits wear boots unblouse until second phase. So everything is set to earn, if the plt mess up you can again be unblouse. You know when your close to becoming a Marine when you finally earn your name tag.
All we ever here is reaction to boot camp in the marines. Should do a reaction video to how marines live in the fleet, how the army has instructions for everything including the latrine. How the navy lives in such close quarters and how the air force live and work like rock stars ⭐️
Damn, funny seeing my Drill Instructors in this video. Black one is Sgt Haney, I was his first cycle, the Hispanic Staff Sergeant is the Senior Drill Instructor which is why he has the black duty belt instead of the green ones like the others. Lethal Lima Company plt 3242 2019
To answer a few of your questions yes Marine corps recruits wear tennis shoes the first week or so they must "earn" the boots. Also they are saying die Everytime the drill instructors say 0 and Everytime they say ready move they say "lethal" indicating they are Lima company recruits.
The about us my got me at first when I got to boot camp so may years ago, but after a while I got used to it..... So it wasn't the yelling that got me, but when a D.I. got up close and personal and they're speaking so only you can hear it, you knew you fucked up and we're about to die
1:44 Black Friday is the first day the recruits meet their drill instructors for the first time. This is when all hell breaks loose. We didn't know up from down, left to right, it was just a complete mind fuck of kaos
It's like a group of king shepherds and sheeps! Im a reserve and I knew how it felt being shouted out of your conscience. But that's life, a country aint never gonna survive if its people don't know how to follow the chain of command.
Sneakers = go-fasters The DI uniforms are Charlies, but they don't wear them often, they'll wear cammies most of them time. Zero means freeze. The stamp is used to label your items with your name, quite useful when the DI's start taking your shit and kicking it everywhere. 30 seconds in boot camp is more like 10 seconds. The more you know. Things may be different though cuz I've been out for a long time now.
Too many drill instructors. We only had 3, 40 years ago! Still remember their names too! If you can't function under this little bit of pressure, you'll fold when bullets start flying. Semper Fi Fox Co. 2/1 1st MarDiv And 2nd AAV Bn '79-'85
1980 Plt 2116 MCRD San Diego: DI's filled our trash-cans with dirt and water creating a mud slurry....they then emptied the slurry onto the squad bay deck, they then fricking had all us privates on our hands and knee's telling us to separate the dirt and water...theis was two days before graduation....
Parris Island Recruit Training, is a bet different, we pick up the recruits on a Saturday. Which well... was always a great day to start the Recruit Training Process... Are forming lasts for 3 days and Training Day 1 starts on a Tuesday also known as IT (Incentive Training) Tuesday. The kids wear their go fasters (sneakers) during pick up week and forming. The only other times they will wear go fasters with their cammies if they are light duty or limited duty. Over all though it's a great process and I loved it!
When I was in the Army in the 90s I don't remember ever seeing our DS in class A uniform, it takes a lot of effort to get your dress uniform correct so they only wore BDUs. I cant imagine spending all that time on your dress uniform just to do physical activity in it.
So in usmc boot camp you earn everything. For the first phase you wear sneakers till you earn the right to wear your boots, then you have to earn the right to blouse your boots, then comes nametapes etc etc until you earn the title marine
I'm so glad I'm trying to go ARNG since everyone goes through the same training. No disrespect to my marine friends that went through that training and survived but that's a whole new level of intensity there. 64 ASVAB and still trying to narrow down MOSs.
Shamar Davis I cant tell if you are playing but the ARNG doesn’t all go through the same training you all go to basic but the AIT for the MOS are different
@@cane3025 I think you misunderstood what I meant to say. I mean if they're like a 25 Bravo or Uniform they go to Fort Gordon for example during AIT. Obviously everyone goes back to where ever they came from that's not active duty.
I was at Parris Island in 89 so I am sure it has changed, But with each Training Batt. they are a bit different. Like when i was there i was in the 2nd Trn Batt and we referred to ourselves when speaking as a Pvt and 1st and 3erd referred to themselves as recruits. Like if we spoke to the DI we would say Sir This Private...and then what we needed or had to say. Usually the DIs change out of any uniform articles that are starting to show any sweat. That means a Great deal of dry cleaning because either the air conditioners were off or broken. Those squad bays Never had windows open and they would work us in there till all of the windows were covered in condensation. That is the first training day. We were in what is called Receiving before that waiting for enough people to form up a Training Series. My first day we had 4 Plt.s worth of DIs for the first hour or so. For the extra shock value. If you were not used to this or had no USMC knowledge it was shocking I saw many cry and throw up just over stress. I was lucky to come in as a 2nd generation to Parris Island My dad his brother, his brothers oldest son and my dad cousin my godfather were all Marines way before me. They made me aware of the harassment and why it was done. Semper Fidelis
Theres so much that's censored in this lmao when that camera crew wasnt there recruits were getting sent to the pit or on the quarter deck lmao good times
Hun, I went marines sadly I was 3 weeks from graduation until I got hurt and sent home but that black Friday looks like a piece of cake compared to mine 2ND RTB HOTEL COMPANY PARRIS ISLAND had us running up and down the stairwell and down the squadbay having us carry our mattresses into the rainroom along with our footlockers and boots and shoe displays. Haha. good ol days on the island. I'll miss them.
These are all junior hats. the Snior is the, sort of, "Good Cop"---but he's not always around to keep the kittens safe. When it's all green belts things can get vertical. Till after the rifle range at least.
They’re wearing their “ go fasters” because they haven’t gotten to T-1 which is when you start to wear boots. I just graduated graduated this week from MCRD Paris Isand and from what I can tell the DIs are being reallllyyyyy nice because of the cameras are rolling. Definitely loved my training, they trained us hard but they made sure we were prepared for all our big obstacles that we had to pass. 2nd RTBN G Co. PLT 2066
Recruits wearing "go-fasters" aren't in phase 1 yet, but in the forming days. The training days in the cycle don't start until after the recruit has made it through the forming days

The Army is tough its a great branch, but Im gunna go into the Marines. I want tpo be pushed and get tougher and have the grit and grind every morning.
I remember the first night with the DI’s, one DI made a kid scream until 3 in the morning. My voice was gone for 3 months. One of of my buddies got caught singing in the shower and the DI made all 101 of us cram into the shower naked. Aug-Oct 2010 Alpha Co. PLT 1006
Willet Drapete ya right ..... so many liars in these posts! First of all where did he scream?! DI’s can’t interfere with a recruits sleep! The recruit belongs to the Marine Corps not to the DI!
USMC 1988 Platoon 2044 2nd Battalion Foxtrot Senior Drill Instructor Staff Sergeant Gooden Parris Island South Carolina , I remember it like it was yesterday , the sight , sounds, smells, everything. The best example I can compare it too , is like remembering your first day of school as a kid. Came in as a 18 year old boy and left 4 years later as a Corporal and a Grown ass man LOL. Great video Ericka , keep training those Soldiers!
Ahh, the familiar scream of "Lethal!" You can easily tell when Lima Company is on screen, our DI's went hard everyday. Honestly Makes me miss my days back in that squadbay, lots of good training.
This reminds me of the first day at Marine Corps Boot Camp MCRD Paris Island... They get you in MarPat without boots, because they have you relace them before you put them on... Marine Corps D.I.'s lose their voices nearly regularly, and go home soaked in sweat nearly every day... One of my D.I.'s lost his voice like 3 times while I was there... The one with the most sweat is normally the "Kill Hat"... The dryest one is normally the "Senior Drill Instructor"... The one that has a little sweat, but not soaked, is normally the "Drill Hat"... And, we don't call sneakers, "sneakers", we call them "Go-Fasters", due to the nature of them being running shoes...
I know I'm super late, but if you could, please react to Ultimate US Drill Instructors Destroying Recruits Compilation 2018. You'd love that, and get a few laughs out of it as well.
So, you may have gotten this comment before, but you run around in your go-fasters for a few weeks, then you get your boots, but you don't get to blouse them for a lil bit. I think it's around initial drill you actually get to blouse them.
Trust me i had him as my drill instructor!! He was my chief as a matter a fact! They didn’t show the mess that happens after the cut seen 🤦🏽♂️ it gets to the point where u don’t know where ur stuff is at😂 they got u wearing a size 9 shoe and a 10😂

The Marines are the most hardcore intense trained warriors in bootcamp
Oh Black Friday, when all of your gear, boots, and mattresses mysteriously appear in a pile in the middle of the squad bay.
Then the drill sergeants are like "Who do this trainees?"
Haha the DI’s act like you the one who messed up your shit haha I’m so ready for that day this upcoming Friday I’ll be there
Oh yes, I remember Black Friday like it was yesterday.
Shit that happened weekly when I went to boot camp
@@Cydro_Visorlosa Lol, I was a Mutant Mike and we used to call you guys Easy Echo :*D
What did you get on your ASVAB?
Why did you get medical?
Crazy as hell, I Was in 1st Btn, Delta Company. If you were issued a DD-214, look at your Re-enlistment code, and talk to a Marine Recruiter. Hell I’d do anything to go back as well
@@gregalvarez3570 my re-enlistment code is valid, that's why I'm able to go Army.

Nope. Had to do it ourselves
RAH!!!
The best part of this video is I had two of the drill instructors
For the first week aboard either recruit depots we wear our camis and our “go fasters “ or sneakers when we get our actual drill instructors then we start wearing our boots with unbloused trousers then following initial drill we start blousing our boots
I know others have already said this, but everything changes when cameras, highers, or civilians are around
Bruh, it gets way more wild. It is not safe for RUclips what these guys do to us. I love them and miss them every single day.....

Should turn down your audio.. and make the actual video a tad bit louder.. but other then that great video

You should do a video comparing the USMC rappelling in Boot Camp vs. Army rappelling in Basic Training
Jesus Torres you do know that the Army has different lengths of boot camp right? What I mean is those going into a non combat MOS go to boot camp for about 8 weeks, but those going into infantry or cavalry scout are looking at 14 weeks. Which Army boot camp would you like her to use?
What u see during Black Friday is like 1% of the BS we went thru. Look at recruits getting IT'd
In garrison, the Drill Instructors wear their service uniforms depending on the weather, and that’s mainly during First and Third Phases at MCRD San Diego. During rifle training and qualification, and during field training, the DI’s will wear cammies (camouflaged utilities).
Here at Utah AF base watching this and injoining my internet and freedom
That DI at 3:40 gets me super motivated when he starts running up and down the bay
When Recruits are on line, the Drill Instructors will count down every movement ending with "ZERO" to which the Recruits respond back with "DONE SIR/MAAM" some Drill Instructors will have their Recruits respond with "FREEZE OR DIE" when they say "ZERO"
Recruits are also NOT allowed to say I, Me, or My. It is only "This Recruit" they also do not have a rank. Their "rank" is Recruit and the worst thing to be called as a Recruit is "Disgusting civilian Recruit" that literally hurts more than being called stupid, fat, busted, ugly, etc
This is only Black Friday or "pick-up" when Recruits arrive to MCRD they get basically what you all call "shark attack" they get off the bus and get annihilated from that point on until pick-up day and then get even more destroyed during Forming Days with their actual training Drill Instructors!
Yep that happened to us weekly when I went to boot camp
The uniforms they’re wearing are the Service Charlie’s, the same trousers with a long sleeve khaki shirt and tie are the Service Bravos and the green trousers, long sleeve khaki shirt and tie with the green over coat is the service alphas
It’s a lot different when your there and experiencing it. Especially when there’s things you don’t see on camera

Pete Pete Pumkineat nope
Jordan Bledsoe think your right most recon have the jump badge but it’s hard to see looks like recon could be mistaken tho
Pete Pete Pumkineat Do you HAVE to be Recon for that? In the Army, due to the whole "we may need to mass drop bodies into a warzone" mentality, everyone can get a slot. Whether you make it is another issue
Wesley Mincin I don’t think so I think if the school is open and available to marines they can take the course. Im Army so I’m just assuming.
this video is so tame.

Having a sense of humor,
the first time he trips over a seabag he will hear some giggles. God help the recruit caught giggling over a DI tripping over a
seabag.
I will never forget smiling about something a DI said........that was the only time I was touched. Punch in the gut sent me to my knees :)
I was not low enough in
the sitting position, so a DI sit on my shoulders and bounce up and down to get me lower :) Maybe that is why I have a bad back today.

To explain the uniforms, that is the uniform of the day on Fridays on the recruit depots for all Marines because of graduation.
All we ever here is reaction to boot camp in the marines. Should do a reaction video to how marines live in the fleet, how the army has instructions for everything including the latrine. How the navy lives in such close quarters and how the air force live and work like rock stars ⭐️

If you were not used to this or had no USMC knowledge it was shocking I saw many cry and throw up just over stress. wait, where is all the throwing of foot lockers and sea bags with quarterdeck sessions?

Sweethart, there are no E4 ( corporal ) are Marine D.I he or she must be a E5 and above (E5 Sergent , E6 Staff Sergent, E7 Gunnery Sergent are the Senior Drill instructions ).
The verbal assault ( yelling, sceaming, name calling ) is to prepare the recruit on how to handle, instructions under a hostile conditions, thinking clear, react correctly and work as a unit.
Jeff M In fact you be can be a corporal DI.
