Thank you for the video. I am building it now! Arrived today, finished the rear suspension and gearbox. I am looking forward to the final result. Looks amazing!
Still have mine in the closet...looking forward to finding time soon to put it together, I can't wait!!! I ran into the same issues with the land rover defender build, the gear box was not what I expected..but the suspension is fantastic
Great vid friend!!! I’ve been a fan of Lego for quite some time too. ‘Something appealing about building stuff. I have the Ferrari Daytona SP3 and the Lamborghini Sian. I hope to pick up the Chiron some time soon.
OH MY GOD I REMEMBER THAT CRANE TRUCK!!! That was the toy I dreamed about, drooled over, and kept the catalog for, years after they stopped making it. What an incredible treasure you have... My personal treasure is one that came a little later, it was a 4x4 looking tow truck, one of the ones with a working V-6 engine, drivetrain with a rear differential & solid axle suspension, and IFS front suspension, plus steering. Of course, I custom-modded to add a 2nd winch to the front; stock was just the rear tow winch. I'll have to photograph it sometime...
Love the vid, also what blew my mind was I also had that gearbox problem where in one gear you gotta move the car about 3 feet to get the pistons to move, but in the last gear the pistons moved super fast and just fine. I thought it was just me.
hi like u I am in lock down over covid 19 hear in the uk. I have been looking at getting the Bugatti for some time. and I have one on order and seeing how much work its going to take to build I think it's just the build I need to keep me from going mad with no work at the moment great video keep safe
Hahaha, I just now watched the end of your video, and yeah, that seems to be the type of "toy" that isn't going to see much aggressive play/action. I will say, however, that gosh, my old 4x4 truck Technic set saw tons of action in a mud hole in my backyard when I was a kid. (OK, when I was a teenager; yes, I still played in mud holes...) It got to the point where I was replacing axle parts and shocks and steering joints because I was getting too much grit and grime in all the moving parts. But man, those articulation checks were fun! I used to be able to break down almost the entire thing from memory, (I believe it was under or around the 1K piece mark) but now I don't think I could, and the instructions are likely long gone. I can't even find the exact model listed online anywhere; it was from the early/mid 90's...
Nice video, I like the dynamic view of the moving camera. Was the 15h actual build time or was there more packed in to that? I raced through mine in 8.5h. No moving cameras, but I do film my build with three cameras.
After I was done building this, following all the instructions. The rear light bar assembly is messed up somehow, I don’t know where I went wrong, I double checked everything and it seems like the whole thing is somehow short. I honestly don’t know where I went wrong lmao.
Having to move it for a ways is within design parameters, you are taking up the slack in the gearbox. The stuttering is not normal, the tan gears in my model were bad. Replacing from my collection fixed it and I requested replacements from LEGO.

I'm doing the same but decided to get the Chiron first bec Lego just announced it will be retiring it soon. Good luck with your Build!
You can open the back hood I haven’t gotten mine but it’s coming in the mail and I am very excited to build it

The crane truck was SO much fun assembling! I wouldn't mind assembling it again, but I've long since lost the instructions and a few pieces as well.

@Alan brock images you buying lego lambo?
the gear box and transmition is okay its just that the pistons slack on the little holes that the pistons go through so yea.
Inspiring me to finally build that Saturn V I have on my shelf!
Schon Photography You have a Saturn V and haven’t built it yet?!
Alan you can play Captain America 😄
Half way through though in a still locked down UK. It’s a great diversion from all the Covid related gloom. Stay well x
Looks crazy. Never built anything that complex.
That X-Wing is cool but the Bugatti is amazing.
The x-wing was fun if anyone is just needing a 1-2 hour build!
Thanks for an excellent video Alan. The car looks great. Mine is still in the box but will be out soon!
Im legit so jellous, I think ill get this right before the new lego Lamborghini comes out June. Just wish theyd start selling the 911 GT3 RS again.

Within an hour of completion this car had Barbie's in it!! :)
Haha I got the Porsche GT3rs and it was amazing I just ordered the Bugatti today can’t wait to build it
I've heard the Porsche is amazing! I've also heard that LEGO is releasing a Lamborghini later this year that will definitely be worth looking at.

I jus bought this how much time does it take to assemble it?
I can’t remember exactly, but I think it was around 17 hours of build time. Worth it!
@@AlanBrockImages I already hav like 3 days in tho
@@AlanBrockImages btw I am already done with the car took me like 2 weeks but worth it
@@AlanBrockImages also I now have to build the lego Lamborghini prob going to be worth it too

I thought you were gonna shoot the Bugatti with an 8x,10 😂
Depth of field would have been tough!!😂
@@AlanBrockImages I figured you would do it thoughn
