Man I really loved the Rodgers to Nelson connection and that’s coming from a Patriots fan, it truly was one of a kind and I miss watching those 2 play together
glad to hear that. that being said i believe tom brady and julian edelman have something special going on. chemistry is second to none in the league right now...coming from a packers fan i just hope rodgers and adams can develop something special this season... GO PACK GO!!!
I really don't understand why we released him? Idc if you think he was slowing down his connection with Rodgers was always something special. No matter how old, Jordy could have been a security blanket at the least. Plus I'm sure he would have been willing to take a team friendly deal...so sad but whatever I guess
The Vikings started the season 5-0 and got eliminated right here. This game was also notable for the fact that Vikings DBs decided to rebel against the coaches' game plans, particularly when it came to covering Jordy Nelson. The results of that experiment speak for themselves pretty well.
i remember this game was on Christmas day ( was living in Australia at the time). Had the TV on loud while opening presents, missed a few TD's, but it was a great christmas present.
When I was a kid most of the successful teams had the same players for many seasons. Today is a revolving door. Even the Super Bowl winners will have a totally different set of names two or three years later.
Man, Rodgers is just not the same without Jordy!! Jordy and Rodgers had such a great friendship and you can tell by the way they are in sync on the field.
Ya know it’s kinda funny. I live in Wisconsin and love my GB Packers. I’m always hearing about how Aikman and Buck hate GB yet I think Joe gets more excited about GB than most teams.
So far, any to thielen has become a thing of beauty. This is coming from a Packers fan. Going to be a good one this weekend. Honestly think the Vikings take this one again though.
Like him or hate him anyone saying Aaron Rodgers is not in the Top 3 Qbs of all time does' nt know shit about greatness. You could take 5 of your own picls for top Qb ' put all their best moments together and they wouldnt be a quarter the length of a Aaron Rodgers highlight reel. The man is simply AMAZING.
Oh yeah forgot that happened in the home matchup last year. Regardless they still needed to play a lot better at Minnesota that year with their WC hopes hanging by a thread.
I don’t think I’ll ever fully understand getting rid of Nelson over Cobb. Cobb hadn’t done anything since his contract year but Nelson was at the top of his game, maybe a little slower but you can’t tell me that Cobb was the better one to keep
Our secondary was horrible that year. If they were much better, we could have beat Atlanta to move onto the SB. But they torched us with the air attack.
But sadly the defense gave up more yards than the Pack earned. Really hoping that changes this year. It would be nice if we actually fielded a complete team this pre-season.
Did you see his last season in GB and the one last year in Oakland??? Age and injuries got the best of him, we got rid of him at the point where his ability started to decline
Hey let’s draft a quarterback and not get Rodgers a receiver! Why? Ugh idk cuz we’re stupid and don’t realize that if you give Rodgers a decent pocket and actual receivers he’ll tear apart even the best defenses.
Whew Vikings go bye bye...AGAIN. As good as the defense played with the turnovers and sacks, they gave up some big plays and a few yards. But hey they won.
Watching this makes me want them to bring Jordy out of retirement like the Seahawks did with Lynch. Outside of Adams all the receivers they have now are garbage, inconsistent, or both.

Absolutely
@@trigga__toni1816 Yepperz and this is coming from a Packers fan
He and Jordie were as badass as MONTANA TO RICE.
Yeah, his injury cost him his career. He was great
GB's D that year really wanted to give this game away. This is pretty much Thielen's coming out party. Glad Capers is gone.
A lot of garbage time was in the fourth quarter but yeah seeing Rollins on Thielen was a sore sight
Only to see the D downgrade to Buffoon Joe Barry...
Rodgers to Nelson really was something 😭

Random Black Guy Gutekunsts moves as a gm have been suspect since day 1
That move from Rodgers to get a touchdown with his legs was a back breaker to me lol. Damn that was crazy haha. GoPackGo
We could have won the 2020 nfc championship with him
@@kopper819 He had been retired for over a year at that point, I mean his rapport with rodgers was special but WRx weren't our issue

Zalis116 - Reason players are players and coaches coach
Zalis116 what did they do?
@@ethenswords2134 I think the coach specifically wanted to double up on nelson but the DB's were full of themselves and singled up.
Favorite Packer game on Christmas Eve or Day
One of the most underrated games of his and one of my favorites!!
On this same day the 0-14 browns defeated the Chargers and avoided being winless that year. Just thought I'd mention that
Rodgers shouldve won the 2016 mvp the way he carried the team on that roll and lead the league in tds top 5 in cmp percentage yards passer rating
i remember this game was on Christmas day ( was living in Australia at the time). Had the TV on loud while opening presents, missed a few TD's, but it was a great christmas present.
We never should have never let Jordy go. Damn shame
He went ghost in the playoffs. We let him go at the right time.
He was washed up during his last year with the packs and then raiders made him play worst.
Jordy Nelson most dynamic wide receiver ever in GB! I miss these old running backs and receivers for GB
I hope to god we can see Aaron Rodgers play like this again this season.. 😭 hopefully tomorrow
This aged well
@@Jacob_mcrobs yea, didnt win the chip this year but were gonna get it next year!
@@aravindsathappan6661 this didn’t age well
Vikings are actually playing very well in this game.

Thielen is one of the best in the league. Can't beat that Rodgers to Nelson connection though.
Crazy since both of these teams are on their way to the playoffs, have solid defenses, and explosive offenses with amazing pieces on both sides
A Saturday special (one of those rare instances when Christmas Eve was on Saturday and everyone played ala 1994)
I sure miss this offense with Jordy Nelson but I sure don't miss that defense
And it only got worse under Buffoon Joe Barry.
Rodgers-Nelson was great and this is coming from a vikings fan
So far, any to thielen has become a thing of beauty. This is coming from a Packers fan. Going to be a good one this weekend. Honestly think the Vikings take this one again though.

My first game at Lambeau! I worked and saved up all that summer to go to that game and it was well worth it.
Wouldn't you like to have lived in the 1920's when you had to work and save for 1-7 days to go there 😔
Was there too man!
Short of Nelson breaking his leg, he would still be playing his way into the Hall of Fame
This is the game where Adam Thielen became Adam Thielen
Been loving the more frequent videos, getting me in the mood for some live football! Hope the Packers bring the trophy home this year.
Go through all these vids on this channel and take note of how many Jordy Nelson receptions and even TD's there are. It's unbelievable.

Rodgers is GOAT
Probably Rodgers' second most efficient game after the 2011 divisional round game in Atlanta.
Rodgers to Nelson favorite combo go pack.
What a game!! Im excited, anticipating 2019!! GO PACK!!!!!!
Feels like ages since this game tbh
Sam Bradford was a great QB when healthy, Shame he could never string it together.
Aaron Rogers walks into A Barr. Hahahahaha that one never gets old.
I just want Rodgers to go on a roll as he did in the latter half of the 2016 season in 2019. The best stretch play a QB has ever had IMO.
this year was probably the best in awhile from getting blown out opening week to being the best team in the nfc
To this day, Adam Thielen became who he is because of Quitten Rollins and Ladarius Gunter.....smh.... Lol Go Pack Go though
Simple X. ikr this game is the reason he became well known lmao
@@ditch7915 Basically his break out game, the offense was everything that year.
5:17 - 5:40 the best play for this vappu. vapun pelastaja 💛 💚
Thanks for the upload! I love your channel! Keep up the great work! Go Pack Go
Miss the receivers being this open. Don't see a ton of that anymore.
If Green Bay still had a receiver like Jordy they'd probably have homefield-advantage.
Nearly three years later, and I don’t know how this was really the last time that the Packers beat the Vikings.
gor9027 roughing the passer last year that’s why

Not going to lie Allison n Adams boy they going to be 🔥 we don't have
I miss Nelson so much. Wasn’t afraid to cut back inside to take the hit if it meant getting more yards. Need more WRs like him.
Odd how the Vikings have always tried to get extra mileage outta old qb`s from other teams ! lol
Well, their last few 1st round QBs were Daunte Culpepper and Christian Ponder. A mixed bag of results for sure...
Good vid keep up the good work
8:23 “BROKE ANKLES” lmao Rodgers the goat
I was at that game
Do you have the Packers/Ravens game from 2001? (Favre with a masterpiece against the big bad Baltimore defense)

And we got rid of Jordy Nelson for no good reason

Green Bay Denver 2003 when the Pack clinched the NFC North because of a Vikes loss
Ngl Bradford played pretty solid lol

Rhodes went flying
Jordy was one hell of a Freak.
Man they held Mathews a lot.
Hopefully this year the losing streak ends against them
