I had an experience that i can't explain. The experience played out tit for tat with a wendigo experience, and i havent been able to replicate it.
Was at a buddies house in the country late one night, shooting the breeze in the front yard in the dark. dude was pretty heavy into demonology and the macabre. Starts talking about how he thinks theres a Wendigo on his property due to strong smells of sulphur, weird sounds at night, tapping on hia windows, and the fact his neighbor had 3 cows completely mutilated in the last week or two. Was just kinda zoning it out as i figured he was trying to scare me. I was looking at the tree line on the edge of his property and i saw two amber colored "eye shines" about 30 feet up a tree turn towards me then turn away. Looked like a sodium yard lamp so i said "Ha ha, for a second your neighbors yard light looked like eye shine". He went kinda cold and said "ive got no neighbors in that direction" (he doesn't) and he started yelling at me to just get out of here as fast as i can and not to look out my window if i hear any tapping. Spooked i hopped in the rig and drove off. I collected my thoughts pretty quickly and sort of laughed it off, slowed down to turn onto the highway and "tap ta-tAP TAP" on the back pasanger window. It continued for the entire 45 minute drive home, an inconsistent beat that would get louder qnd changed in frequency like something was trying to get my attention. Passed through one town and tried to glance at whatever it was out of my rearview in the street lights and i saw this black void, like the street light just disappeared as soon as i passed them. I fucking freaked, called my buddy, told him what was happening and he said hed try to catch up to me. Well i was on top of the hill before dropping into the town i lived in at the time when everything stopped. The tapping quit as suddenly as it started and i could see lights behind me again. Pulled into a lit up parking lot and jumped out of the vehicle with my concealed carry piece and was ready to face a motherfucking demon, To find nothing but just this putrid odor. Not even a minute later my buddy comes flying into the gastation and bales out with a 12 gauge pump, ready to face a demon. We both just looked at each other and started to laugh a bit. He handed me some of his "demon rounds" which was 3in 12 gauge round filled with sterling silver swan shot and rock salt. Those shits lived in my mossberg for a few years. Also for about 6 months after i had struggled with sleep paralysis which i never dealt with before or again, and usually consisted of just a feeling something was outside my bedroom window (crazy because i was on the 4th floor of an apartment) And the town experienced an uptick of missing pets for those few months as well.
Im willing to say it was a long line of coincidences, because theres a good chance it was, but i have yet to duplicate anything ive experienced.

It would have been a thing they could have said is to Stay out of sight and hide in a dark room with a lot of things blocking wendigos eyes from seeing you that would have been a great part they should've added for a safety reason for campers to escape it

Okay but... Thats not what Wendigos are supposed to look like. Why do people keep giving them ficking deer skulls? Like, it looks cool, don't get me wrong. But if you're gonna use mythology, at least use it as it's properly depicted.
