Our family is sheltering in place. We have about 3 or 4 months worth of supplies and I'm part of a local militia. Being part of a community is extremely important.

Just FYI ammo condition makes no difference in DayZ unless it's ruined.

Prefer to hunker down for as long as possible. There is no way I could bring all my preps on the road. If things become untenable at home, we'll have to make some hard choices on what to bring. The bright side is at our planned bug out locations we have some basics pre-staged there.
That’s a great plan. Similar to mine- but you are ahead with the bug out locations
You can't really have a plan in the apocalypse. Build your skills and teach your children everything you know. You need to be able to survive if you loose absolutely everything.

I need to step up my game. I have the pew pews and ammo covered just nothing else. I’d be relocating to my brother’s he’s secluded and there’s plenty of animals and fishing opportunities nearby.

all bug out situations are different. food,
water purification, first aid and planning. But you definitely need to have some self-defense tools and training. Interesting question.

Shelter in a place but work is 45 min from home so I have a go bag in my truck and could have essentials for 24-48 hours on foot if needed
Smart. I keep running shoes and water in mine- in case driving isn’t an option. I am an ultra runner, 50 miles is my longest so far.
I could never run distance. Played baseball so it was all sprints. Knees suck now too. I’m a walker, lol
