They dont see America much because of past issues with the law. But as you already mentioned in the videos production value is high. Experience it, Enjoy it. Its an unforgettable experience even for non fans.
Regarding the lyrics: You really have to dig deeper into the Rammstein-catalogue - and, as a bonus, have a really good grasp of the German language - to appreciate the genius of the lyrics. The simplicity you mentioned is merely a very cleverly used stylistic device that usually transports a way deeper meaning and, due to the additional usage of countless metaphors/ references to literature and culture and plays on words, allows countless interpretations. This stuff simply gets lost in translation. Btw, Till is actually a well respected poet in Germany.
Something else I just realized: The way the lyrics are constructed also perfectly compliments Till's very unique style of delivery/singing and vice versa
Never underestimate their lyrics, "Du Hast" is one of the few songs that has not many lyrics, but some songs of them are lyrical masterpieces, Till has such a special way to use words. In many cases, you can only understand it when you speak German (I'm a German), the translation of Tills lyrics into English doesnt always work cause the use of words is too special.
True, it really shows that Till's lyrics are deeply rooted in german culture and very inspired by the mood of german romanticism. He's definitely a poet.
I guess the main attraction to Rammstein is a number of things. Their riffs, obviously. Their shows, the pyrotechnics, obviously. Tills voice. Their sense of humor. The lyrics are brilliant (in German, they do not translate that well into English, and tbh, German fits this music way better than English), they're funny, disturbing, and sometimes absolutely beautiful. Their music makes you want to move. They sound completely unique. And they like to stir things up. Never a dull moment with Rammstein ;-)
Rammstein is so popular because when you listen to their music, it makes you feel EVERYTHING. All the love, hate, anger, serenity...just everything all at once. It's beautiful chaos.
Fans sing their songs all over the world. It doesn´t matter if you are in French, Japan, Brasil, Russia or even the States... Stadium Tours are sold out within days, in Europe within hours, in Germany within 10 to 15 minutes. They are great since decades!!!
Dont let the audio fool you, I was at this concert and the crowd was definitely singing along to all the lyrics. React to "Sonne" live from their volkerbal concert
Greetz from Hannover in Germany! Rammstein always have awesome videos, but their live shows are even beyond these. Here are some suggestions: "Wollt Ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen" (Paris Version) --> Pyro Fashion, power, everything that Rammstein stands for "Sonne" (Live Rock im Park / Rammstein Official) --> Hot as the name giving sun (Sonne = Sun) "Mein Teil" (Live Hurricane Festival 2013) --> Read the story behind the song (a real case of cannibalism!) first. "Benzin" (Madison Square Garden) --> Benzin = Gasoline --> burns well. And maybe also a man? „Ich will“ (Hurricane Festival) --> Ich will = I want ->Sure you want to see it There are of course a lot more insane live videos of them: "Links 2,3,4", Engel, "Mann gegen Mann", "Mutter", "Feuer Frei", … Have fun and rock on!
For engel i would suggest this version. 2017 rock im park. The msg 2010 version is bit toned down compered to this on ruclips.net/video/jRxW5Vzeo0A/видео.html
Rammstein is more than a live performance from a metal band, its an experience. The combination of music, pyros, fire, theatrical inputs and how good the band are is the definition of Rammstein. Also they are so good musicians and are tight played together.
"Du hast" (you have) and "Du hasst" (you hate)is a pun. Until to the part "Du hast mich" (you hate me) everyboby (in German language) think "you hate me" but then he says "Du hast mich gefragt" and from that time it means "you have asked me" It is about a wedding. "You have asked me and I said nothing" (Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt)
the refrain "willst du bis der Tod euch scheidet treu ihr sein für alle Tage? NEIN!" in "Du hast" means "Do you want to be faithful until death devides you? NO!" it's the question the pastor askes you if you want to get married with a person. and at the end of the song (its on 3:19 on the original video version)if u listen closely the play of words hits sneaky (and hard): cuz then he sings just for one line "willst du bis zum Tod der Scheide sie lieben auch in schlechten Tagen? NEIN!" which means "do you want to love her until the death of her vagina even in bad days? NO!". and its hardly to hear in the first place even for a german native because of "scheidet= devides" and "Scheide=vagina" sounds very similiar....and my interpretion of this harsh line is that when the partner gets old and withered and isnt as beautiful as in younger years the sex isnt good any more and you just break up/divorce. i think its an overall critic on the marriage concept itself....but yeah they give you much space for different interpretation with their lyrics and play of words :)
@@daGruedz I think the line is: "Willst du bis zum Tod, der scheidet, sie lieben..." (Do you want to love her until death separates you...), and again what you hear ist something different, that is to say: ""Willst du bis zum Tod der Scheide sie lieben ....?" which means "do you want to love her until the death of her vagina." This is another play on wording and hearing: Der Tod, der scheidet / der Tod der Scheide. Just nuances in pronounciation, and Till is flirting with this potential, poetry bitch he is
It´s Rammstein dude. Amazing lyrics, excelent riffs on top of a very tight base and a lot of fire. React anything from them, you´ll be surprised everytime.
Rammstein is not just a band...the whole thing behind them is a piece of art..the shows...the album covers..the music videos..the look..the songs..etc etc Rammstein is a perfect machine...so no wonder these guys are superstars
I was in the Army in Wurzburg, Germany in the late 1980's. Rammstein has the same hard hitting kind of punk sound that I remember from the punk clubs but with modern twist. I think that is why they are so popular in Europe. Also, for a punkish kind of band, their sound is really crisp. I can remember punk bands in Germany with songs that had lyrics with maybe 10 words, Du Hast is consistent with that.
Rammstein loves the double meaning of words in their texts. These are usually very lyrical. In addition, live as a band they are incredibly good. If you have the chance - go there. But you should really watch the official video of their song "Deutschland". That will blow you away too.
@Cristian Roth I agree. They are good and I absolutely love Ich tu dir Weh. For me it´s on top with their best songs and especially their best singles. Was just pointing out that for someone new in the game it´s easier to dive in with their hits first.
Dude some of the best adages have been the fewest words. Du hast is a statement about monogamy. He is asked if he wants to be married to the same woman forever and his answer is NO. Sometimes you don't need a lot of words to make your point.
Wow! Jinjer and Rammstein on the same day! Two of my favorites! There´s some reasons for the huge popularity of these guys and boy, do they go against the odds! I mean, a german heavy/industrial metal band that sings mostly in german (in german!!), doesn´t have a pretty boy as vocalist and has official videos that are NSFW to say the least, selling out stadiums across the globe is not by accident. You really got have an x-factor! And the main reasons are: - Heavy, crunchy and powerfull top of the game kind of riffs. - Great melodies mixed with the heaviness. - Surprisingly catchy chorus! - Originality and unique sound. - Till´s voice. - The electronic part, especially in their earlier records. - Amazing and second to none live performances. - Controversial topics always on the table. - Pushing boundaries in everything, from lyrics and videos (some of them are funny as hell, others very meaningfull or straight x-rated) to epic live shows. As for the lyrics, the few expressions and words I know of german are due to them. I look up the translation of the songs names to get a feel of the song and in a lot of them i read a rough translation one time to understand it better but that´s it. It´s all about the music! I find myself singing a lot in german by memorie but don´t really know half of what it means, and that´s not a bad thing. Music has no real language., especially good music. Sometimes you sing something in english and only after years you realize "oh, that´s what they meant". And has people pointed out, a lot of it gets lost in translation due to their trademark play on words and double meanings. If you want to really understand better, there are 4 or 5 songs that defined the first decade of the band and sky-rocketed them to the top. "Du Hast" the breaktrough song that you reacted, "Sonne" with one of their best riffs and a great official video, "Links 2,3,4" (live in Paris is amazing), "Engel" (live in Madison Square Garden is a blast) and the Triple X soundtrack song "Feuer Frei" (also don´t care for the movie but the official video is very good). Then with the "Reise, Reise" album they got really huge in America especially with their hit "Amerika", that is probably one of their most commercial songs but it´s still a blast, has an awesome official video, has a tongue in cheek double meaning and has english lyrics mixed with german. Try some of these for starters and you won´t be disapointed. Wow, sorry for the long assignment but I get carried away with this band! Keep up the great vids. Peace.
Great reaction. For one of the greatest songs you’ll hear by these guys try Wollt Ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen live Paris. It will be hook line and now sinker for you and will be obsessed like the rest of us
I usually listen to lyrics in songs, but in the case of Rammstein I just love the energy when Im working out. In that case I just need to "feel" the music. Excited to go see them this summer for the first time with by brother
Happy you're discovering Rammstein!🤘 I'm an expat living in Germany for 13 years so I'm fluent in the language. We used to analyze some of Rammstein's lyrics in our language courses! The vocalist is the main songwriter, he's also a poet. For those who speak German, Rammstein's lyrics are a treat to read and hear. Till does a lot of word games (like the song *Haifish* - which means shark - which includes loads of phrasal verbs with the verb _halten_ in German, or the song *Los* - which means start and less - which also plays with both meanings of the word to tell a sarcastic tale of their own story.) There are loads of fans of Rammstein that started to learn German because of them. Till likes to write lyrics like a tale, he also sings sometimes as a narrator more than a singer. Now, on the keyboardist lol. His name is Flake. He's most of the times the butt of the joke in Rammstein's live performances. The very members of the band say Flake is the one who never truly fitted with them. He doesn't look like a metal head, he's skinny, nerdy. He's an author, too. His job in the band is mainly to compose the melodic, piano/keyboard lines in songs and to make the setlist for their live shows. In a lot of live versions of their songs Till, the vocalist, and Flake play dynamics similar to the one in this video. If you're interested, you can read the translation to their song lyrics here: www.rammsteinworld.com/en/lyrics
I am German so I understand the lyrics to 'Du hast' it means 'you have' not you hate. The leadsingers(Till Lindemann) girlfriend asked him to marry her 'Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt' = 'You have asked me and I said no'. The song is about that situation, or so that's what I remember from the time it came out...🤘
Rammstein has been around for decades. their music, no matter if you can sing along to the lyrics or understand them, is loved by soooo many across the world. their concerts aren't just concerts, they're a theatrical performance and an experience. I've seen them 4 times in the states and I've never been disappointed. I've even taken friends to see them even if they don't actively listen to them and they've turned into massive fans too. everyone in that band are all trained pyrotechnics so they are able to do all the crazy stunts that they do that not a lot of bands can do so they're on another level with their fire toys and gimmicks. other bands just tend to do the flamethrowers straight up in the air but these guys can do so much more. their craziest stunt I've seen them do is for their song Zerstören. Till comes out in a giant trench coat and he's singing and it seems like a chill moment only for him to open the coat at the end to reveal suicide bombs and he explodes himself and the stage goes black. maaaaanmnnn, the first time I saw that live was wild. they've also done stunts where he whips out a fake dick and stimulates buttsex with his keyboardist and then sprays the crowd with water or something... that got them arrested after their show in France lol. I don't think they do that stunt very often though because it doesn't always have the best end result lol. he bullies the keyboardist but that's kinda just their shtick for their live shows. it's just kind of showing their goofy side lol. they're a lot of fun live and I highly recommend you go to one of their tour stops this summer/fall. they're worth it.
i like that you said your real thoughts about du hast, and not only act like you love every song and all is epic and so on, i like reactions more with honest opinions. you got my sub. Greetings from Germany, would love to see more Rammstein from you :)
Another Rammstein mega fan here, I believe they're popular, regardless of language barrier, there's emotion in the music and lyrics even though you might not understand them, you can feel them. Du hast, is also on of the older songs, and was one of their first big hits back in the 90's, , everyone knows the lyrics to that song. One of the guys said above, the lyrics have to be dug into, there's a RUclipsr the breaks down their songs as a German, and breaks them up pretty good.
The Guitar (if your interested) is Richard Signatur Guitar one of three models, the one in the video is the ESP E-II RZK-I Burnt, then there is the ESP E-II RZK-II Burnt and the ESP RZK - 600
Nice video! First, about Du Hast: It's really a play on words. The song evokes some lines of Wedding vows, so It's about having one another, but the play on word bring us the meaning.. How love is close to hate. And in the chorus, when they throw us the wedding vows: There are both of the answers: "Ja" on the background, when the flames are going up, and "Nein", when the flames go down... That's my interpretation, and I read some other comments in this direction! About this song! It's just a great song! Till singing high notes full blown!! Great Burnin the keyboard is wild? Watch Benzin, live! Same concert!
I'm a big fan of Rammstein... My favorite songs are Mein Teil, Sonne, Mein Herz Brennt and Du Riechst So Gut. By the way, whatever song by them, live or official video will entirely catch you... A big hug by a follower from Colombia dude, I enjoy a lot your reactions
It's always a PLAY ON WORDS and it's always about the DOUBLE MEANING with Rammstein. The simplicity sometimes, the references, metaphors and ambiguity, it makes you think , makes you wonder and question things around you. Rammstein is thought provoking , brings out the dark side that people don't talk about ; talking about subjects people are too scared to talk about.
Ok german here trying to explain "Du hast": "You have me" and "you hate me" sounds the same in german. But "you have me" makes less sense alone, so you start the song hearing "you hate me" and at the end of verse it becomes "you have asked me... but I said nothing". The other verse "Do you want to be faithful until death parts you?" Is the usual question you get asked by a priest when you marry someone. The background female voice then says "jaaa/yees" and he answers "Nein/No". At the end there's also a twist on the word "scheidet" which means "to part/divorce" but there's also the word "scheide" which is a means either "scabbard" or is a very clinical word for the female genitalia. So instead of "Willst du bis der Tod euch scheidet.../Do you want until death parts you...." he says "Willst du bis zum Tod der Scheide.../Do you want until the death of the female genitalia..." So, I think, the song is about a guy and a girl, the girl wants to marry and the guy doesn't and now she hates him. Many Rammstein songs have this "alone the sentence means this but in context this" thing. Many are a lot more cryptic than this one. Some are like a murder mystery where you're trying to figure out what exactly happened, who killed who and why.
Riffs are great, shows are great, videos are great but what makes me love Rammstein is their lyrics and Till's unique ability to deliver a story: dark, disturbing, provocative, and yet deep, packed with emotions, intelligently written, and simply beautiful. He is a very intelligent man with a great sense of his native language. Modern poet so to speak :) Check out "Mein Herz Brennt" piano version official video (it's very important) - I was crying when I heard and saw that, so heavy song.
Worth mentioning these guys have been around a long time. Most are in their 50s. I've been hooked since I first saw and heard them 20 years ago. They're the full package, talented musicians and showmen.
the song is about dominance and pain like to give and take. the keyboarder is called Flake. He is practically the band victim at the live shows.😂🤪 He is constantly on fire and even crazier. Believe me . Greetings from Germany 😎🤘🏻
The thing is that when you hear the first notes you IMMEDIATELY know it is Rammstein :) and it either appeals to you or not. And es, the live shows are amazing :) I go every time I can. Tickets only in the Fire Zone.
I know that their live-show are great. But I love their videoclips more, because of the visuals, humor, story. Du hast, Keine Lust, Sonne, Ohne Dich, Deutschland, Ich Will, etc. So good videoclips
"du hast" is a play on words, because at first you just hear "du hast" what could mean "you have" or "you hate" then "du hast mich" means "you got me" as well as "you hate me" and then the chorus is "du hast mich gefragt" which means "you did ask me". Those auxilliary verbs man :D
They are also popular because their amazing videos. I love their sens of humour. I love to see you reaction on such videos as Haifisch, Benzin or Amerika
This song is about pain... But it's also about being reborn thru pain... 'Flake' isn't used in this video "Because he has nothing else to do" His hand expression of moving it from left to right is a German expression of being Insane/crazy. Also when Flake rises from the ashes he is a *Sparkling* version Hologramesque version of himself... Hence the rebirth into something beautiful. The fact he is *Blown up* at the end is a tie in to the Original video for the song when in the end the whole band is blown up. The odd walk is Also meant to symbolize the newness of his being as we are all awkward when taking our first steps. 😁
To make the lyrics to du hast easy. Its a play on the wedding vows. In the early part of the song he saying you have me. She wants to get married and is asking for it but he stayed silent. Then it goes into the vows and he says yes but she overpowers him with No, the nein part in the chorus . Then the du hast becomes the i hate you. For basically breaking his heart
Great! Please react to these: 1. Mein Teil live in Paris 2016 2. Mann gegen Mann live in Paris 2016 3. Winner blut live in America 2010 (read lyrics and story behind it) 4. America official music video 5. deutschland official music video
You're going to essentially get their entire discography recommended to you. What I did was find a live show and went down the list. To my surprise they have live concert exclusive songs like Tattoo. There is no studio version of that. My favorite by far however is this song here and above that it's Kein Lust. That one takes the cake for me. I head banged to that song so hard I hurt myself.
@@motokid6008 The studio versions for the latest album are very hard to find on RUclips if no official video has been released by the band. The album has been released in January 2019 and is self-titled "Rammstein". You can find it on Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, ... It features the new hits of the band, like "Deutschland", "Radio" and "Auslander" (all 3 have their official videos on RUclips).
The popularity is with the riffs, but also the lyrics in other songs take themes nobody wants to talk about, "Mein Teil". That song is about a cannibale. Or "Mutter", wich is about a living who is born in a labratory. Only to say some of the songs.
Hello, I am German and yes. "du hast" is a song playing with the words "have and hate". "hast" = "have", "hasst" = hate". First line you will naturally understand "you hate me" but then it turns into "you have asked me".
Rammstein and lyrics and melodies is a fascinating subject, especially if German is not your native language. Rammstein lyrics seem to be very simple on a first look, but if you take a deeper dive into the lyrics is when you start to uncover the different layers which is the fun part. This is also the reason why most fans at some time decide to learn German to get a better and deeper understanding of the meaning of their songs. Most of their songs are also accompanied by the music. So the lyrics and music goes hand in hand. To answer your question for "Du Hast" it is a play on words and if you would translate it one on one the meaning is "you have". But as mentioned earlier Rammstein lyrics are never that easy and lot of the double.triple meaning and play on words gets lost in translation.
What makes Tills singing more impressive in this video is that for a lot of the chorus he's producing those notes and volume while bent over. Also if you want something ridiculous check out Mein Teil lol.
Rammstein can be super poetic at times. Like "haifisch" is a twisted version of "Mackie messer",the song "Dalai Lama" is the rammstein version of "erlkönig". As a german Who goes absolut apeshit on wordplay and language in general they are a real treat. I love them SO MUCH
10:30 ... believe me, the people don't sing along because it's in the USA... they would frek out at least the same with Du Hast.. French people are not really better in German :D it's just about the song Du Hast that the crowd always sings along ;) no matter in which part of the world
Riffs and shows and so on, but they're also loved because they're not afraid to tell in their songs about everything that is wrong and messed up, expose lies and hypocrisy and tell how it really is. They will tell you how things really are, accompanied by crazy cool riffs and tunes and then in the end they'll blow everything sky-high with a truckload of pyrotechnics. What's not to love.
Oh man. They make you feel something. They make me feel like my skin is alight and I feel it in my gut. They truly make me feel alive. To really understand why Rammstein is popular you have to listen to multiple songs from multiple albums. Du Hast is one of my least favorite songs by them.. it’s the one song people know from them when they don’t know their music.. but It doesn’t showcase who they are and what they are capable of at all. It’s his gravely voice, the riffs, the show, his singing and vocal fry, his growls, the lyrics, their energy and all how that comes together to make the listener feel it in their bones. Their songs are diverse and powerful. I fell in love with them without knowing a single word of what they were saying which means the music has to be that good. Try Sonne and Main Herz Brennt.
I highly recommend checking out their recent song "Deutschland". The music video is probably one of their best produced videos in terms of scope and cinematography and touches on several key moments of German history, which is really fascinating.
Also, I'd love to see your reaction to their "Ich Will" (pronounced kind of like "ish veel" and means "I want") official video; it's like a short Tarantino film.
Second comment. I believe that they are so popular is because they are a band that musicly is not that complicated. Its like techno. Dont need much. They take you on a journey. The lyrics are incredibly good because rhey are like poems. Its difficult to translate. But they can give you the feeling of beeing in the sing “understanding without knowing the langauage” imhope you understand me. My english is horrible, enjoy them and GO TO A CONCERT. THAT EXPLAINS ALL! peace
It's catchy and full of amazing riffs. A mate of mine who speaks German used to translate lyrics for us back in the day, though we often wished we hadn't asked - some of the songs are a bit disturbing! They started in East Germany during the Cold War, named after the Ramstein airbase where there was a crash during an air show I believe. They had to have government permission to play gigs. I remember them saying they appreciated that not many Westerners would understand what they were singing so they made their shows as spectacular as they could. You can find articles online where metal magazines have asked professors of German language and culture about Rammstein lyrics which fills in a lot of the blanks. I think the deal with Du Hast is that the play on words isn't made apparent until he sings the full line later in the song. Some people initially thought they were going to be right wing, militaristic, with hints of Nazi leanings from their look and sound, but that couldn't be further from the truth. They got so sick of it that they wrote a song called Links 2 3 4 which sounds like a military marching song but Links means left and they sing "my heart beats left" to point out their political feelings. Heard them referred to as tanzmetal or dance metal before, which fits with the riffs and the groove. As for recommendations, I'd watch the official video of Deutschland. Don't even think about doing a reaction video to it as it'll be struck down immediately, but it's well worth a watch. My favourite song of theirs is currently Haifisch ("shark"). More great riffs and you won't believe what the keyboardist does during the middle of the song at their big live shows.

"Sonne" (Live Rock im Park / Rammstein Official) --> Hot as the name giving sun (Sonne = Sun)
"Mein Teil" (Live Hurricane Festival 2013) --> Read the story behind the song (a real case of cannibalism!) first.

Thats right! 👍
the refrain "willst du bis der Tod euch scheidet treu ihr sein für alle Tage?
Want some Pyro? Try Sonne. At rock am ring!
Sick AF! Another great reaction my friend, Rammstein brings the heat! Engel from same concert is also awesome! Thanks:)
reise reise, and mein teil both have amazing riffs!
Check out “Zeig Dich” or “Ausländer” by Rammstein as well, two extremely good songs!
They are very good and very recent, but I think he should really go for the most famous first to really get a grip on it. My opinion only :)
@Cristian Roth I agree. They are good and I absolutely love Ich tu dir Weh. For me it´s on top with their best songs and especially their best singles. Was just pointing out that for someone new in the game it´s easier to dive in with their hits first.
Or Tattoo
Ich find es lustig wenn ihr deutsch probiert
I used to listen to Rammstein and I didn't know what they were saying and I was still hooked, they are the reason I learned the German language.
Dude some of the best adages have been the fewest words. Du hast is a statement about monogamy. He is asked if he wants to be married to the same woman forever and his answer is NO. Sometimes you don't need a lot of words to make your point.
Please react to Rammstein - Engel (live from Madison Square Garden)
"...he was saying... a lot more words." killed me 😂🤙
Great reaction, man!
And the main reasons are:
- Heavy, crunchy and powerfull top of the game kind of riffs.
It will be hook line and now sinker for you and will be obsessed like the rest of us
i like that you not only react to the video of the concert, you also show that you tried to understand the meaning of this song, thank you for this!
One of the BEST shows Ive EVER been to PERIOD!
I usually listen to lyrics in songs, but in the case of Rammstein I just love the energy when Im working out. In that case I just need to "feel" the music. Excited to go see them this summer for the first time with by brother
This choruses is just great and Till's voice is just absolutely amazing! I love this part so much!
Happy you're discovering Rammstein!🤘
I'm an expat living in Germany for 13 years so I'm fluent in the language. We used to analyze some of Rammstein's lyrics in our language courses! The vocalist is the main songwriter, he's also a poet. For those who speak German, Rammstein's lyrics are a treat to read and hear. Till does a lot of word games (like the song *Haifish* - which means shark - which includes loads of phrasal verbs with the verb _halten_ in German, or the song *Los* - which means start and less - which also plays with both meanings of the word to tell a sarcastic tale of their own story.)
There are loads of fans of Rammstein that started to learn German because of them.
When you write "hast" it means "to have". If you write it with two "s", like "hasst" it means "hate" but sounds absolutely the same in pronunciation.
i like that you said your real thoughts about du hast, and not only act like you love every song and all is epic and so on, i like reactions more with honest opinions. you got my sub.
”Sonne“ (live) ist awsome! That Riff is killer.
Great reaction, perhaps you could check out mein herz brennt the official video that's a great one
Nice greetings from Germany. Rammstein is just great. I think it's nice that the band is so well received in the USA.
The Guitar (if your interested) is Richard Signatur Guitar one of three models, the one in the video is the ESP E-II RZK-I Burnt, then there is the ESP E-II RZK-II Burnt and the ESP RZK - 600
Hands down best concert I have ever seen I been too two of Rammsteins concerts and both of them amazing
Great
Burnin the keyboard is wild? Watch Benzin, live! Same concert!
I'm a big fan of Rammstein... My favorite songs are Mein Teil, Sonne, Mein Herz Brennt and Du Riechst So Gut. By the way, whatever song by them, live or official video will entirely catch you... A big hug by a follower from Colombia dude, I enjoy a lot your reactions
Rammlied in Madison Square Garden - you should do that 😎👌 Mutter live in Paris is also one of my favourites
you have barely scratched the surface with this band you really really really need to watch more!!!!
The Ric Flair walk. Yes!
well to move the hand infront of your face from left to right means in german body language you're totally crazy! or insane
Ok german here trying to explain "Du hast":
"You have me" and "you hate me" sounds the same in german.
So instead of "Willst du bis der Tod euch scheidet.../Do you want until death parts you...." he says "Willst du bis zum Tod der Scheide.../Do you want until the death of the female genitalia..."
So, I think, the song is about a guy and a girl, the girl wants to marry and the guy doesn't and now she hates him. Many Rammstein songs have this "alone the sentence means this but in context this" thing. Many are a lot more cryptic than this one. Some are like a murder mystery where you're trying to figure out what exactly happened, who killed who and why.
They are so popular because they make GREAT music. Period.
Modern poet so to speak :) Check out "Mein Herz Brennt" piano version official video (it's very important) - I was crying when I heard and saw that, so heavy song.
finally someone who shares his honest thoughts and not those the fans want to hear. LOVE THAT!
Worth mentioning these guys have been around a long time. Most are in their 50s. I've been hooked since I first saw and heard them 20 years ago. They're the full package, talented musicians and showmen.
Even not so big rammstein fans go to there shows to see them live since they are the best live performers ever
All Songs have Brutal Riffs
Greets from Germany. I Love your Reaction
You have to dig below the surface to truly appreciate Rammstein. They are pure genius
This has became my second favorite Rammstein song behind Deutschland!
the song is about dominance and pain like to give and take. the keyboarder is called Flake. He is practically the band victim at the live shows.😂🤪 He is constantly on fire and even crazier. Believe me . Greetings from Germany 😎🤘🏻
Maaaaan youre in for a ride. Enjoy all the riffs
The thing is that when you hear the first notes you IMMEDIATELY know it is Rammstein :) and it either appeals to you or not. And es, the live shows are amazing :) I go every time I can. Tickets only in the Fire Zone.
I have tickets for firezone in Cardiff next year. It's going to be my first Rammstein concert. Holy shit I can't wait
Du hast is just a simple song. But everything else is a lyric masterpiece
Rammstein is simply a legend 🤤😍
Flake arose from the tub with an enlightened attitude and a brand new suit!
man, imagine having a giant voice crack in the middle of singing xD
Du hast is best described as “if you don’t have me you hate me”, as in it’s either you have me or you hate me.
Great!
Please react to these:
1. Mein Teil live in Paris 2016
2. Mann gegen Mann live in Paris 2016
3. Winner blut live in America 2010 (read lyrics and story behind it)
4. America official music video
5. deutschland official music video
Great choices
You're going to essentially get their entire discography recommended to you. What I did was find a live show and went down the list. To my surprise they have live concert exclusive songs like Tattoo. There is no studio version of that. My favorite by far however is this song here and above that it's Kein Lust. That one takes the cake for me. I head banged to that song so hard I hurt myself.
"Tattoo" is part of their latest studio album, it's not a live exclusive. "Ramm4" is a live exclusive.
@@guitou706 - Is the album not released? I can't find a studio version.
@@guitou706 - Thanks so much. I'll check that out.
@@motokid6008 You're welcome ! Make sure to check out the live version of "Puppe", it's definitely worth watching ;-)
Rammstein are awesome! "Rammlied" is a kick ass song.
Thank you. Ramstein 🤘🖤 Greetings from Germany
German here. The word play wit du hast is that you have me you hate me. Love your reactions. Sub!
You are right.
Du hast (with only one "s") means you have.
Du hasst (with two "s") means you hate.
Greatings from Seville
Rammstein - Asche Zu Asche (live)... This one is one of their best songs.!!!
I highly recommend checking out their recent song "Deutschland". The music video is probably one of their best produced videos in terms of scope and cinematography and touches on several key moments of German history, which is really fascinating.
Rammstein in Amerika is agreat Documentary I think its on Amazon Prime :D Really good
love your reaction vida
It's not Dream theater but they have done their job in 30 years...and btw Till is olympic Schwimmer....:D
I was listening to the English version that Rammstein made for Du Hast and he said "You hate me" = "Du Hast Mich"
