    I did this recipe and it was super easy, considering that i am not chef material at all💀
    if you are vegan or allergic to milk, this works perfectly with almond milk! i also used potato starch instead of corn, and it worked as well! 🥰

      @Lacompote margerine but i would rather use coconut butter if you have any, the saturated fats inside of it will give it a cremier taste and more of a smooth texture, it's going to be unhealtier but again, when you make sweets that's the last thought you should have! :)

      @Lacompote Nuttelex usually works out well, if you can handle it's ingredients. Substitute with it all the time since baking's one of my hobbies, but everyone's allergic to dairy.

    In case anyone is curious about cultures, here in Brazil we have a very similar recipe called "brigadeiro", it takes the same ingredients shown in this video, the only difference is that we use one more ingredient which is "condensed milk"❤️

      @@user-vh8qn6zh3p we use the whole can to make a portion of it, it's about 330ml or 395g, but if you wanna make traditional brigadeiro I recommend you to look for it's recipe, because this one it's not exactly it, for example we don't' use corn starch or even cocoa for the traditional one, we use only chocolate, condensed milk and butter, but that depends on your taste haha

    I have made this recipe numerous times. The first time I made it, it tasted AMAZING but it was very very sticky and I could barely cut it. The second time it was sticky again and so I melted it down and got it hotter. This helped a lot. If yours turns out sticky put it back in the pan and cook it at a higher heat for longer than before.

      @@aleezazafar103 I’m not sure. Corn flour and corn starch are quite different but I’m not an expert so you might have to check. Sorry if this didn’t help.

    they're right! here in Brasil, we have this very similar recipe called "Brigadeiro", which is very famous in birthday parties along with the birthday cake. it is made with condensed milk, butter and cocoa powder, and there are many variations of this base recipe. we usually cook it for less time and eat it with a spoon.

      yes! i’m a Brazilian living in Australia and my family always makes brigadeiro for special celebrations such as christmas, birthdays, even easter! i love the ones covered in chocolate sprinkles

      yes! the candy made in the video is not a brigadeiro, but it is surely similar (and I believe that our Brazilian recipe with only three ingredients is even tastier...)

    Pour 240ml of milk into pan
    Add 3 tablespoons of cacao powder; Mix
    Add 200g of sugar and 60g of corn starch; Mix
    Place on low heat and mix
    Add a pinch of salt
    Stir in 10g of butter
    Cook until mixture can be cleanly removed from the pan
    Pour mixture into a prepared baking paper loaf tin and let cool
    Once completely cooled, remove dessert from baking paper and cut into rectangles, then squares
    Roll squares in 20g of cacao powder.
    Enjoy!

    OMG that was so good I made this my self and let me tell you that was the best you do not know how good I'm talking about but to be honest with you at the end when I put it in the frige it did cool down but it was not that hard texture it was just really sticky so what I did was roll them in to little small balls then I rolled them in coco powder to make them not that sticky and when I put it in my mouth I swear I fell in love with it so can you please make more videos like this thank you

    There is a sweet very similar in my country (which is Brazil). It's called brigadeiro, it takes condensed milk and powdered chocolate. It's very good, I recommend you try it 💕😉

    In the US we have a dish called peanut butter delight, kind of similar has a two teaspoons of cocoa a whole stick of butter, 2 cups of sugar, one small can evaporated milk, cook that on medium heat when it boils cook for two minutes then add in two cups one minute oats 1 tea spoon vanilla and 1 cup peanut butter mix the entire time. Spoon onto aluminum foil and enjoy. It’s one of my favorite easy to make recipes

    In Brazil we call it brigadeiro, it's very popular at parties. I usually use a heavier cream and I don't use the corn starch, it's common to roll it into small balls too
    if you prefer, you can use regular milk and cook until looks good, but it takes a little longer ^-^

    Tips & Modifications:
    - add 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
    - premix all ingredients before adding to pan
    - put in freezer instead of fridge

    No Brasil temos uma delicia parecida. Chamamoa de brigadeiro. Feita com leite condensado e cacau. Leva ao fogo ate ficar como a sua receita. Espera esfriar e umta a mao com manteiga e faz bolinhas. Delicia!

    Yk I should've watched this video before, i tried making condensed milk and didn't remember that u also have to add cornflour to make it thick. Now I have a thick chocolate syrup. Great!

    Can I suggest you dont mix the ingredients in the pan - it will take AGES... and using a metal whisk on a nice expensive Tefal non-stick pan will quickly ruin the pan too! Mix the ingredients in a jug with the whisk before pouring the mixture into the pan.

    I just made this but stil did it my own way ! Added some white chocolat bar with nuts and cocao delicous! Now its a nougat taste few hours in the fridge

    I made it, and watching how it peeled itself off the pan was something I'll never forget.
    It's delicious, but I'd say it's too sweet. And I like sweet everything. Maybe it's the kind I used or something, but it's wayyy to sweet. Will adjust that for the next time. Other than that, amazing! And easy

    These look really nice! We have something similar in the UK called chocolate truffles, but they aren't made with milk and cornflower, just coco powder and butter, so they are REALLY rich. These look like a great lighter alternative🤤

      Hello. Yes, you have to mix continuously and as you feel you could make tiny balls in your hands, this is the point. Remember that as it cools it becomes thicker. (sorry for bad english)

    Technically, in Malaysia we have similar recepie called dodol but instead of chocolate we use coconut sugar

    This reminds me of something that my aunt and uncle would bring back from Mexico when they went to visit relatives. They called it Mexican Chocolate and we ate it with a small wooden spoon!

    I would love to do this recipe! The only thing is that we don't have a proper non-stick pan. Has anyone had any issues using any other pan and their mixture sticks pretty pad? 😅

      i tried this today and as long as you stir consistently (with a spatula) you should be good! once its on the heat, ditch the whisk, or it won’t be smooth

    So far I've tried this twice:
    the first time i undercooked them and they remained semi liquid like taffy. chewy, good, but they flattened out in the fridge.
    this second time I followed it more closely to the video but it never cooked to the point where it lifted from the pan, and once it cooled it became hard and crumbly.
