The limit switch relocation sounds like a great solution to the flex. I like it!

That's a pretty neat build right there man! It seems fairly future proof too since you have so much open space all around the components to be able to weld in/remove/add pieces and upgrades where needed.
    Very cool!

Very Very impressive build! Your solutions for depth and flexing where outstanding, and not over complicated. Brilliant you would embarrass NASA!

Good job on making your press brake.
I bought myself a used one and I have a bunch of tooling and I haven’t gotten around to use it. I’ve been so busy on everything else in my life.

I'm still a long way from needing my own! But i enjoy seeing your brilliant solutions!

I work with press brakes for a living at a family business and that Is very similar to how the control system works on them. The hydraulics on either side work mostly independently with one side being the "master" and the other just being a slave that trys to follow it. The 12ft brake we use to bend ¼ frame rails is very old and you gotta play with the pedal to get it to bend each side evenly lol

An amazing piece of engineering and fabrication. Appears to be very well designed and the fabrication is top notch. I look forward to watching your other videos. I'm interested in how the air cylinders work with the hydraulic rams. Thanks. Regards.

@@KW-ei3pi thanks! The air over hydraulic jacks are pretty simple, there is a air powered piston that gets pushed up and then down by the air pressure, and that piston operates a piston just like a handle on a regular bottle jack.

If you have the air reserve, I suggest increasing the piping to the rams to 3/8 everywhere you can. I'd expect significant cycle time improvement. Those AOI units are hogs.

I am impressed. No pun intended. Did you go to engineering school? I have a friend in the sheet metal business and he has never attempted to build anything like this. Very cool 👍👍🫵

@@DebbieDogg thank you. No engineering school, just being poor and wanting cool stuff. lol. Working with metal and cars is all I’ve ever done, so 30 plus years of learning, the hard way mostly. I spend a lot of time researching and thinking before I start building. Thanks for watching!
