Haven't paid attention to this show since I watched the first few seasons as a kid, thirteen of them is wild but it's cool that it's carried on! I wonder if this new one will be a bit like Tracy Beaker Returns, that was my favourite of the shows lol. It was a great blend of the TSOTB and TDG vibes.
In the first episode of series 11, when Georgia says to erin "i know you better than that" i couldn't help but wonder if we had a revelation later on that they were secretly half sisters and shanices earlier line in Erin's introduction (she never acts out ), made me wonder if the reason was she didn't want to make it difficult for Georg, and after finding out Georgia herself was in care kind of added to my theory but if georgias left the show thsts obviously not going to be the case . I honestly thought that could have been an interesting route for the show to go down because while we've had many siblings in the care homes, we've never had one where ones a resident and the others a care worker.
I am very excited about Tracy Beaker returning and I feel like having Dani Harmer directing will add a nice touch and definitely bring back some original roots to the show! I am really looking forward to seeing how that plays out! The new kids look interesting and it'll be great to see how their stories will play out! As someone who has autism, I can't wait to see how Harmony's storyline will play out, see Phoenix scheming and the drama with Harmony, see Sami trying to be saved, see how Tessa will adjust to care life, and how Vinny will be like as a younger character on the show! Anne also seems very interesting too and I look forward to learning more about her! It's still weird that Fraser, Dita, and Georgia are missing from the trailer since there was no indication of anyone leaving the show, not helped by Series 12 having a shorter series. I really hope they get at least an appearance or a mention because it gets annoying with how characters just disappear without any mention of them leaving. If the series was a little longer, it could set up somebody leaving. It's especially jarring that Fraser would be leaving without Bonnie without a good reason. Georgia, I guess could have been sent to another care home and no clue about Dita unless it's a fostering. It does make sense for Dita to go as she is the least developed character which is a bit disappointing as she was set up to be interesting in Series 10. Series 11 tried to give her the Super Dita storyline which didn't work and she stayed in the background throughout Series 11 and 12. Fraser had some focus in Series 10 but got sidelined in Series 11 and 12 which is a shame with how character-focused Series 12 was and also because I like him and think he can have some good storylines. I really hope these characters will be mentioned or get a cameo for their leavings if this is really true. I also noticed that at the end of the trailer, it had all the current kids except Fraser and Dita and Harmony in their place. Like others have said, considering that Vinny is roommates with Wes and that Harmony and Phoenix share a room, we'll probably be seeing some characters leave. I agree with predictions that Jimi could be leaving based on what storyline they're teasing for him with his dad. I also predict that most likely, other characters who leave will be Izzy as she didn't appear in the trailer much, Chelsey as she could go live with Keira or they will both leave together, or maybe Bonnie will leave somehow but I feel it more likely to be the former two. I feel like the rest of the cast is staying as it is but I could be wrong! I do feel like the new characters will be a great addition to the show and we'll have more great storylines! Series 12 was definitely a step in the right direction and especially with Dani Harmer and Kia Pegg working on it, I'm sure it'll be a great series!

The timeline of My Mum Tracy Beaker and The Beaker Girls is very unclear, I've spent years trying to work out how it all fits in with her leaving TBR and returning to TDG for Mike's wedding and when Jess was born, when her and Seth ended things etc. So if they revealed this is before The Beaker Girls I would be here for it!
For whatever reason they decided to have series 2 of TBR set in 2010 which is presumably when series 1 was set too. Series 3 may have been set in 2012 given that there was a time gap between episodes 12 and 13 in series 2 because of Cam's trip. I think we are right to assume that series 2 of the Beaker Girls may not have occurred yet in the timeline. I feel as long as Jordan and Peter aren't brought up, they can probably avoid creating continuity errors. It's also unclear how much time passes by in each series.

Gate of theories, after hearing cbbc was moving online this year, i had wondered if this season would be the last, but after reading an article about dani returning to the show she talked about how she would happily play tracy beaker forever and that this series would have some fantastic storylines coming up, i feel like this was the end she would have mentioned it, so im guessing if their is a season 14 and 15 when cbbc goes off air they would just premiere straight on to the dumping grounds cbbc i player page, would you agree?

Series 10 added 5 new kids in episode 1 and were learnt the basics of their characters within a couple episodes. Which is normal when it comes to new characters. If they add a character you don't need to give them loads of plotlines, just enough so we know the basics then their plotlines can strengthen as the show progresses. Series 10 did this very well by not bombarding us with plots from the new kids but drip feeding us enough information for us to like them. Series 11 however. They added 6 new kids in episode 1 (not including Maisie). Problem is that instead of learning more about all or at least most of them within the first few episodes. Episode 1 spent with Sabrina and Bonnie. Episode 2 is spent with Sabrina and Frankie. And when you look at which new characters get plots, Frankie, Oscar and Shanice seem like characters we should know like the back of our hand, but their plots are just a joke. We don't learn almost anything about them and it feels like a whole new idea for a show and the only thing keeping it TDG is the fact we have series 10 characters. What I'm trying to say is that series 10 added a bunch of new characters and developed them perfectly. Series 11 added a bunch of new characters and we barley got anything. Its been 18 episode since series 11 episode 1 and Jimi hasn't had a main focus episode yet. It seems like that will change in S13 though. The reason I'm saying this is because it isn't looking good for the 5 new kids arriving in series 13. The first episode is probably going to revolve around everyone but episode 2's main plot is Bonnie. A character who I think might as well be gone by now. I think they should have given episode 2 main plot to a new character instead. 2 new characters are sisters so I think they should get it.
@ I completely agree with you, I really loved Series 10 everything about it was so good, a lot of the serious aspect came back (and then disappeared with 11 😒 ) with characters like Candi-Rose and Kyle respectively, 5 new characters introduced with all of them having a plot and the characters we all knew and loved like Floss, Candi-Rose, Bird, Jay etc. and just actual good episodes in general, especially Floss’ section within the series and mentioning all the old characters like Carmen. Overall, obviously the last good series and also better than the 2 before it.
After this series, I think the writers and directors need to stop introducing so many new characters at once. 1-2 per series is more sensible. Jimi literally only joined last year and he's leaving. We need more than a year to adapt to the current batch, not throw in a whole new bunch so soon. Just hoping series 14 doesn't start filming in May or June, as I fear Sid (if he's doing A Levels which he may not be), Maisie, Brodie and Chelsey (unless she's leaving series 13) could be impacted and quite frankly those 4 I listed are the ones mostly carrying the show. It looks like Vinny will be another annoying antagonistic character, but they already have Jimi who fits that role, although they have at least tried to make him more likeable since series 11. With that being said, Vinny may end up being like Frankie who isn't always the nicest either (although at least Frankie's a fun character). Harmony seems like she could be interesting potentially, she's featured the most in the trailer out of the new kids. Phoenix may be fine or she may be dull, the trailer didn't really dive into her much. As long as they make his storyline different to Kazima's then Sami could be interesting too. Not sure how Tessa will play out, the trailer avoids showing us her too much. My guesses are Harmony, Phoenix and possibly Tessa will debut in episode 1 whilst Sami will show up in something like episode 3 whilst Vinny maybe episode 5. In terms of leaving order, I would say (Fraser, Dita and Georgia if any of them are there which really Fraser should at least), Izzy then Jimi. Saying Izzy will leave before Vinny shows up as Vinny is in that dance clip but Izzy isn't. If Izzy does leave, I don't think it will be the actress' decision. I think the writers maybe casted 5 newbies hoping more actors would leave offscreen. Something must have gone wrong considering they casted 5 new kids but no one leaves in series 12, they must have known that. Unless originally Fraser and Dita were written a leaving episode but an episode 9 and 10 got scrapped. Seems weird that they had that casting call and no one left, but yet not everyone is back.
For some reason they decided to split season 11 A and B into two separate series. Don't really know why seeing as series 12 is basically a stronger second half of series 12. Series 13 is basically another reboot although it doesn't look like it will go over the top this time as only 3 characters are missing.

Does anyone know why Fraser, Georgia and Dita aren't returning or if they might have been on set? I can't believe Fraser will have just left offscreen without Bonnie without any explanation (knowing the writers when it comes to offscreen departures). Because it seems Georgia's replacement will be introduced properly, Georgia might get brought up, especially seeing how close Erin and Maisie were to her. Fraser needs to be mentioned because why would he leave but not Bonnie? That can't go unanswered this time, it doesn't cost money to explain these things. Dita I feel they won't mention her unless Izzy mentions her to her room mate. Dita likely got fostered, Georgia possibly got a promotion, Fraser my guess is he went to an academy of sport or something, something that opens the door for a return. He might possibly cameo at least. I think we'll get 2-3 newbies episode 1, the young boy after Jimi leaves and Sami maybe an episode 2 or 3 perhaps. Unsure if Keira will be a main or just a recurring for a Chelsey plotline. Hoping Maisie and Brodie get together, even though Chelsey and Brodie are cute too.
I have the same questions. This would be a good idea. It already seems 3/5 of the new kids have plots. Being Sami and the 2 girls who I think are sisters. Sami already has 2 plots it seems (maybe 3).
I'm pretty sure 3 characters from series 12 aren't here in series 13 and I'm confused about some. Georgia is the only care worker not to be shown in the trailer. It seems she's been replaced by Anne who just seems like she was added for a plotline. I'm sure Mike and Georgia are the only care workers who have been in care throughout TDG (not TBR or TSOTB). Since this was only revealed about Mike in basically his final episode I was hoping Georgia would get something more other than just 'understanding Masie' in S11 Ep9. But Georgia's been replaced and I don't really have any questions about it. Dita is the next one not be shown. Something I find weird is that Izzy stayed while Dita left while it seems 2 new girls are staying in Dita and Izzy's room. I don't know why Izzy was kept, as far as we know she has no plots this series. This only confuses me for that reason. Fraser is the last character (I think) to not be shown in the trailer. This begs the question why is Bonnie still here. Her only plotline is her 'new legs' which screams side plot. I truly have no idea where Fraser is and why Bonnie has not one with him. It's clear they wanted room for the new characters but couldn't find 5 kids and 1 care worker to swap them with. Personally I think Wes was kept just so his new roommate can annoy him but then what happens with Jimi. Do all 3 of them share a room or does Jimi have it own room? I think instead of episode 6's plotline (being Shanice and Doreen) it should have been the day trip episode. I think this because there was only 1 plotline in episode 6 so getting rid of it for episode 8 means we can have episode 8 for Jimi. It seems Jimi's dad appears in series 13 but this should have been episode 8's plot of series 12 and Jimi leaves in episode 8 so there's no confusion with Wes's roommate. Also I could have sworn series 12 was meant to have 10 episodes but only 8 have released and it seems like they aren't coming out before series 13. So if they really wanted to keep episode 6, Jimi's dad could have appeared in either episode 9 or 10 of series 12. That means that while Fraser and Dita's removal would be unknown they could have which ever episode is left over to leave themselves. Weather Fraser and Dita get fostered together - along with Bonnie and Izzy (which I think would be an amazing ending for all 4 of these characters) this would free up space for the 5 new kids. Which leaves the new care worker which we can probably do without but if not, I have zero plans for Georgia's leaving episode so maybe she does just go between seasons. This means Fraser, Bonnie, Izzy, Dita and Jimi can be replaced by the 5 new kids and Georgia by Anne. I know this was long but just wanted to talk about it.
I don't get why we only got 8 episodes. 2 more easily could have set up Fraser and Dita to leave. Why did they keep all 17 cast members on only to have a bunch of new kids? Can't they just be happy with who they have? Didn't it occur to them when writing series 12 to double check that everyone was happy to return the following season? There was an opening sequence shown in the last shot of the trailer with only 1 of the new kids and no sign of Izzy or Jimi. I'm not ruling out Izzy leaving but I don't think she featured in that dance sequence. Izzy featured in some cast photos not shown in the trailer but it would make sense to boot her off. It's possible the writers are trying to get rid of the weaker characters and felt Izzy was worth keeping for a bit whilst a Dita leaving episode would be dull. Fraser isn't weak but I do think they don't know what to do with him as much, series 11 proved this whilst series 12 started to use him again. Once Izzy is gone then basically everyone else is solid or at least used well. Still could be a chance Fraser, Dita and Georgia cameo. I would like to think at least one of them get a mention and sendoff

@sully.chowpaaji Hopefully it's Sabrina, depends what the actress was filming at the time or if she was asked back for a guest role. Still feel it's more likely to be Chelsey as I couldn't identify her in that dance sequence so she was probably at the back and in that next shot. Sabrina's the only one who has her hair dyed in multiple colours but Chelsey could have done for that episode.
I lost interest after Series 1. I get it the cast was always changing but there was something about the TBR/Series 1 cast that the new lot just didn’t have.
I'm not feeling it with this return - I feel that the dumping ground has had it's day and needs to say goodbye - I don't think the return of Tracy will make it worth watching. We need to say bye to the dumping ground - when they burnt down Ashden ridge should of meant the end of TGD.
I do get that. I am fearful as well that them bringing Tracy back they might change her character slightly. Like I thought the best version of Tracy we've ever had was in Tracy Beaker Returns. The Beaker Girls already changed her a lot so I hope they don't do anymore to fit with the issues of the new series

I do think so, it doesn't yet feel like an ending (although I do believe that when it goes onto iplayer it should definitely end)

@ I completely agree with you, I really loved Series 10 everything about it was so good, a lot of the serious aspect came back (and then disappeared with 11 😒 ) with characters like Candi-Rose and Kyle respectively, 5 new characters introduced with all of them having a plot and the characters we all knew and loved like Floss, Candi-Rose, Bird, Jay etc. and just actual good episodes in general, especially Floss’ section within the series and mentioning all the old characters like Carmen. Overall, obviously the last good series and also better than the 2 before it.

After this series, I think the writers and directors need to stop introducing so many new characters at once. 1-2 per series is more sensible. Jimi literally only joined last year and he's leaving. We need more than a year to adapt to the current batch, not throw in a whole new bunch so soon. Just hoping series 14 doesn't start filming in May or June, as I fear Sid (if he's doing A Levels which he may not be), Maisie, Brodie and Chelsey (unless she's leaving series 13) could be impacted and quite frankly those 4 I listed are the ones mostly carrying the show. It looks like Vinny will be another annoying antagonistic character, but they already have Jimi who fits that role, although they have at least tried to make him more likeable since series 11. With that being said, Vinny may end up being like Frankie who isn't always the nicest either (although at least Frankie's a fun character).
Harmony seems like she could be interesting potentially, she's featured the most in the trailer out of the new kids. Phoenix may be fine or she may be dull, the trailer didn't really dive into her much.
As long as they make his storyline different to Kazima's then Sami could be interesting too. Not sure how Tessa will play out, the trailer avoids showing us her too much.
My guesses are Harmony, Phoenix and possibly Tessa will debut in episode 1 whilst Sami will show up in something like episode 3 whilst Vinny maybe episode 5.
In terms of leaving order, I would say (Fraser, Dita and Georgia if any of them are there which really Fraser should at least), Izzy then Jimi. Saying Izzy will leave before Vinny shows up as Vinny is in that dance clip but Izzy isn't. If Izzy does leave, I don't think it will be the actress' decision. I think the writers maybe casted 5 newbies hoping more actors would leave offscreen. Something must have gone wrong considering they casted 5 new kids but no one leaves in series 12, they must have known that. Unless originally Fraser and Dita were written a leaving episode but an episode 9 and 10 got scrapped. Seems weird that they had that casting call and no one left, but yet not everyone is back.

For some reason they decided to split season 11 A and B into two separate series. Don't really know why seeing as series 12 is basically a stronger second half of series 12. Series 13 is basically another reboot although it doesn't look like it will go over the top this time as only 3 characters are missing.

Does anyone know why Fraser, Georgia and Dita aren't returning or if they might have been on set? I can't believe Fraser will have just left offscreen without Bonnie without any explanation (knowing the writers when it comes to offscreen departures). Because it seems Georgia's replacement will be introduced properly, Georgia might get brought up, especially seeing how close Erin and Maisie were to her. Fraser needs to be mentioned because why would he leave but not Bonnie? That can't go unanswered this time, it doesn't cost money to explain these things. Dita I feel they won't mention her unless Izzy mentions her to her room mate. Dita likely got fostered, Georgia possibly got a promotion, Fraser my guess is he went to an academy of sport or something, something that opens the door for a return. He might possibly cameo at least.
I think we'll get 2-3 newbies episode 1, the young boy after Jimi leaves and Sami maybe an episode 2 or 3 perhaps. Unsure if Keira will be a main or just a recurring for a Chelsey plotline. Hoping Maisie and Brodie get together, even though Chelsey and Brodie are cute too.
I have the same questions. This would be a good idea. It already seems 3/5 of the new kids have plots. Being Sami and the 2 girls who I think are sisters. Sami already has 2 plots it seems (maybe 3).
I'm pretty sure 3 characters from series 12 aren't here in series 13 and I'm confused about some.
Georgia is the only care worker not to be shown in the trailer. It seems she's been replaced by Anne who just seems like she was added for a plotline. I'm sure Mike and Georgia are the only care workers who have been in care throughout TDG (not TBR or TSOTB). Since this was only revealed about Mike in basically his final episode I was hoping Georgia would get something more other than just 'understanding Masie' in S11 Ep9. But Georgia's been replaced and I don't really have any questions about it.
Dita is the next one not be shown. Something I find weird is that Izzy stayed while Dita left while it seems 2 new girls are staying in Dita and Izzy's room. I don't know why Izzy was kept, as far as we know she has no plots this series. This only confuses me for that reason.
Fraser is the last character (I think) to not be shown in the trailer. This begs the question why is Bonnie still here. Her only plotline is her 'new legs' which screams side plot. I truly have no idea where Fraser is and why Bonnie has not one with him.
It's clear they wanted room for the new characters but couldn't find 5 kids and 1 care worker to swap them with. Personally I think Wes was kept just so his new roommate can annoy him but then what happens with Jimi. Do all 3 of them share a room or does Jimi have it own room? I think instead of episode 6's plotline (being Shanice and Doreen) it should have been the day trip episode. I think this because there was only 1 plotline in episode 6 so getting rid of it for episode 8 means we can have episode 8 for Jimi. It seems Jimi's dad appears in series 13 but this should have been episode 8's plot of series 12 and Jimi leaves in episode 8 so there's no confusion with Wes's roommate. Also I could have sworn series 12 was meant to have 10 episodes but only 8 have released and it seems like they aren't coming out before series 13. So if they really wanted to keep episode 6, Jimi's dad could have appeared in either episode 9 or 10 of series 12.
That means that while Fraser and Dita's removal would be unknown they could have which ever episode is left over to leave themselves. Weather Fraser and Dita get fostered together - along with Bonnie and Izzy (which I think would be an amazing ending for all 4 of these characters) this would free up space for the 5 new kids. Which leaves the new care worker which we can probably do without but if not, I have zero plans for Georgia's leaving episode so maybe she does just go between seasons.
This means Fraser, Bonnie, Izzy, Dita and Jimi can be replaced by the 5 new kids and Georgia by Anne. I know this was long but just wanted to talk about it.
I don't get why we only got 8 episodes. 2 more easily could have set up Fraser and Dita to leave. Why did they keep all 17 cast members on only to have a bunch of new kids? Can't they just be happy with who they have? Didn't it occur to them when writing series 12 to double check that everyone was happy to return the following season? There was an opening sequence shown in the last shot of the trailer with only 1 of the new kids and no sign of Izzy or Jimi. I'm not ruling out Izzy leaving but I don't think she featured in that dance sequence. Izzy featured in some cast photos not shown in the trailer but it would make sense to boot her off. It's possible the writers are trying to get rid of the weaker characters and felt Izzy was worth keeping for a bit whilst a Dita leaving episode would be dull. Fraser isn't weak but I do think they don't know what to do with him as much, series 11 proved this whilst series 12 started to use him again. Once Izzy is gone then basically everyone else is solid or at least used well.
Still could be a chance Fraser, Dita and Georgia cameo. I would like to think at least one of them get a mention and sendoff

@@bobcarter1129 no I’ve just saw the series 13 trailer too and I saw the scene on where they dance and I think that looks like I can see Sabrina next to Sid so it’s not Taz. But I definitely think it is Sabrina next to Sid.
@sully.chowpaaji Hopefully it's Sabrina, depends what the actress was filming at the time or if she was asked back for a guest role. Still feel it's more likely to be Chelsey as I couldn't identify her in that dance sequence so she was probably at the back and in that next shot. Sabrina's the only one who has her hair dyed in multiple colours but Chelsey could have done for that episode.

Dumping Ground Should've Ended After Series 4
I lost interest after Series 1. I get it the cast was always changing but there was something about the TBR/Series 1 cast that the new lot just didn’t have.
I'm not feeling it with this return - I feel that the dumping ground has had it's day and needs to say goodbye - I don't think the return of Tracy will make it worth watching. We need to say bye to the dumping ground - when they burnt down Ashden ridge should of meant the end of TGD.
I do get that. I am fearful as well that them bringing Tracy back they might change her character slightly. Like I thought the best version of Tracy we've ever had was in Tracy Beaker Returns. The Beaker Girls already changed her a lot so I hope they don't do anymore to fit with the issues of the new series
