OMG, Holly!!! 😘 Next time you see that boat (the yellow one called Holly Cafe, usually moored near a green boat called Zero) stop for a cup of coffe and a slice of cake, Joanna and Victor are the most kind, fun and adorable human being, you'll see!
What a find you folks are!!!! i've just come across your first canal video . 2 vlogs later and I'm hooked. 6 years ago I moved away from Stoke on Trent aka The Potteries❤. My family had lived and worked in The Potteries for over 350years either in farming or potteries industry. One of whom worked at Wedgewood as a Sagger Makers Bottom Knocker!!! It's been amazing to look back on the area with you and I really look forward to catching up on your adventures
This channel is developing into something really beautiful! I'm watching other boating channels, as well - including Holly. Having followed Minimal-List, I've vicariously been on the whole network. But your camera work is absolutely great! Looking forward to what this may become!
I was patiently waiting for a new upload! Production value, visuals, storytelling- everything is top notch. Still living vicariously through you, boat life seems amazing! Also, I watch Holly the Café Boat here on RUclips and they’re the nicest people, I bet you’d get along well. C
I’m not surprised that this video has such beautiful imagery, because your photography is brilliant. If you are not overwhelmed by vlogging, this should be one of the best, if not the best, narrowboat channels. BTW I also love your book reviews.
I’ve just binged your first three vlogs. I love your honesty and the way you’re sharing your story but the WOW factor is your production. I really look forward to seeing more 👍
I’m a new subscriber, your filming is really great, I really like your style, commentary and music choice. I’m really looking forward to seeing more from you as you cruise the canals and rivers. I’ve followed Holly the cafe boat since their first vlog, they’re a lovely couple with an adorable baby. Well done and congratulations on your new venture. Take care. xxxxx
Wishing you well on your new adventure... we are holiday narrow-boaters who love them lots and have enjoyed many trips/adventures/experiences on a few waterways, fave is the Mon & Brec so far... please be honest about 'stuff' I see that many tend to glamorise canal life which takes it far away from the reality of how tough it can be... Lovely as the films are I believe many of us appreciate reality at the fore... I'm liking your 'films' already and look forward to many more... Thank you for sharing
You went past the Cafe Holly long boat, and I am following those guys too on RUclips! They are a lovely young couple, with a baby boy. It seems so peaceful, going along on your new narrowboat, but a bit stressful at the locks I would think? So lovely to see all the wildlife around you as you travel along. xxx
Loving how your sense of wonder is reflected in the images and the narrative. There is so much to discover as you travel and I look forward to seeing how your journey develops. Thank you so much for sharing.
top top, boaters shower, turn on shower get wet, turn off, soap and shampoo, turn water on to rinse, done, but repeat if needed. I lived afloat for 5 years and now in process if getting a new boat built
Hi Kris, my wife and I just came back to the States from a narrowboat hire and we were looking for videos about the Ashby when we happened upon your channel. We started at the video when you got your boat and we're going to slowly work through to the present. Also, we're coming back for the Crick Boat Show and then hiring a boat to do the Warwickshire Ring (subject to change). Anyhow, enjoying your channel. Hi from Jen and Steven in Oregon.
Another person watching from Australia, and all the Vid's i've seen about canal life, the 2 birds that seem are all the same, are the Swans and the Heron's. I mean all the Swans seem to extremely confident and rather snooty, and now nervous and easily startled Heron's are.......................Happy cruising and cheers from Sydney!!
Hello You Three - greetings from Poland. What a wonderful video. Superb camera work and commentary. I really enjoyed the visit to Wedgewood Factory. Never been there before - a great experience. The cruise to Salt was lovely. You seem to have mastered the locks and marina parking. Thanks so much for taking me along with you. See you again soon. Stay safe please
Really enjoyed your narrowboat vlogs. I’ve been interested in this lifestyle but I’ve only just started vanlife and I’m not likely going to have the money to buy a boat for the next 50 years 😅😅😅 looking forward to watching more of your journey 😊
Love your videos. Great editing, production, music and story telling. Keep it up. Enjoy your boat. It looks a nice one. Paul, NB Dreamcatcher on the Mon and Brec canal.
:chuckles: Quite perked me up to see the Wedgewood museum as I used to be a ceramics curator, mainly at Gladstone in Longton but also did some cataloguing work for the City Museum back when the digs of various sites around the area were being done. These days I am an engineer - lots more money, lots less interest and job satisfaction :(. That house with its own mooring was for sale not too long ago but it was sadly out of my price range :grins: I keep an eye on that row of cottages tho' as I would love to live there ... despite the railway being so close :) The steel, industrial looking, bridge is slowly falling into disrepair - it's a bit of a test of nerve to walk over as the floor plates tip and shift and you can't help but imagine what would happen if it gave way and into the canal you went  The restaurant at Aston Marina is pretty good, if a bit pricey ... and the service can be hit and miss because the staff is rather ... ahem ... transitory; so sometimes it is excellent and other times you get treated as if you are an unwelcome inconvenience :roll the dice:
I think your first fill up at the Marina was cool. Our first lock coming out of the new boat sales, was a disaster, as we rammed the curved lock wall and nearly hit another boater !!! A lot of shouting from helpful boaters didn't help haha. we all have to learn . Have a great bloat life, things can only get better.
I know this boat! After I left Northwich Quay it occupied my old spot. Fast forward 2 years and I spotted it just outside Braunston at the beginning of the New Year. I didn't realise it had changed owners.
I love love love your vlog, the feel of it, really hope your channel really grows so you don't drop it ...also is it 'down and out in paris and london' I spotted while you were packing? gold
Lmao why is the Wedgwood outlet giving late night club😂😂 also I need to visit the Wedgwood museum-cafe-compound immediately. Really enjoying these videos
Love your video- like others have stated- great filming, naration, scenery and content. I subscribe to a dozen canalboat channels as well. You have some pretty tough competition, so good luck! Coincidently, I was on that same stretch in a hire boat a few years ago also listening to Arctic Monkeys!! Rhythms del Mundo "Dancing Shoes" to be exact. So I have subscribed.
What a bizarre music choice at Wedgwood 😳 Did you look around at the staff trying to identify the Wedgwood Raver? Unce unce unce unce unce unce unce unce unce 🤣 🙂🐿🌈❤️ P.s how many times did you hear - Did you moor under a tree? No, I placed each and every one on these leaves personally. 🙄
Just saw this and subscribed within minutes... why? Because the camera work, pacing and editing is brilliant. And I love the typeface you are using plus the graphics.. top quality. Such a nice video, really relaxing a great insight into your world. At 06-45 you pass a house that was recently for sale - the owner dug out and refurbished the mooring himself! - there is a a video about it from a fellow boater called Jeff who runs "Cruising the Cut" - link here: ruclips.net/video/gv7lWexKt8U/видео.html ........ anyway, keep up the good work, really cool approach to a subject that others cover but in your own unique way...
I’ve moored in Stoke and it was fine. Recently moored in Wigan and here every one said don’t, but it was fine. Worst experience I’ve had was in Chester where everyone says is safe.
@@tgcrowson Exactly. Plenty of people cycling past and dog walking. Also only a short walk to the Holy Inadequate pub!😊 Think it might have been dodge at one point. There did used to be locks on the paddles but no longer.

Was just about to comment that! What a crossover. ☺️
I hollered out "Holly" when I saw the boat and my dog ran to the door to see who was coming!
@@Claudia_K. Me too! Vic & Jo are leg ends.
Loving catching up with your early vlogs just beautiful 😍

Thanks so much, that’s very very kind! I’d like to bring back some book videos, just need to get on top of my editing backlog first 😅
The sound balance is perfect! 👌
Totally enjoyable, looking forward to following you on your travels. Nice relaxed pace. Small world to see you go past Holly x
I’ve just binged your first three vlogs. I love your honesty and the way you’re sharing your story but the WOW factor is your production. I really look forward to seeing more 👍
Thank you so much, really appreciate it ☺️
I could listen to her voice for hours . What a brilliant , warm friendly feel it has . Perfect . 🤍
15mins and 55seconds of joy. Thank you.
I love the factoids at the museum... thank you for those :D

DONOT moor overnight in Stoke, it’s not safe.
Don't worry, we made it out alive 😂

Never had a problem by the junction with the Caldon!

Unless you're Canadian, it's not a bouyt; it's a boat (boht-). Might be worth knowing in view of your decisons.
I grew up there its a filthy place now its a shame
So nice to your confidence growing on the boatand locks. Thank you for sharing your journey into the unknown. Big hug from Argentina x
