My dad William Alexander Publicover III Skip/Skipper 06/26/42 - 01/31/17 was a Navy Swift Boat veteran who served in Vietnam. I will definitely be looking for, getting & reading that book in his honor.
Just reading the Amazon E reading version; at the point where the 76 has just been lost. Have read many Vietnam era books - grunts on the ground, air force and helo pilots, but this is my first about the boats. Up until now my experience with boats has been based on the movie Apocalypse Now and that was not a Swift Boat. So I have found this real world version very interesting. Today I decided to see if there was anything about Swift Boats in U Tube and came across the video. Excellent work guys. Perhaps "We were sailors, once and young is fitting.
