Hi Matt and Andrea! My likes are the 2 full baths and the amount of people it sleeps. And the refrigerator. My dislikes are the furniture, no pantry, bunks don’t flip up if you don’t need them. Thank you Matt and Andrea and Rv One of Fort Myers.

Like, mid entry, two pooping zones, and Matt singing “drop it down...” Dislike, no doggie 🐶 window, navigator computer table seems flimsy, and bunk area. Refrigerator debate is a cute addition. Thank you for sharing and have a great day.

I think the headlights are great, Matt.

My main dislike is the lack of a residential compressor fridge. Also: While I love the overall use of space, I would gut the bunk beds, and use part of that space for a pull-out pantry, and the rest for an office desk.

I bought a 2018 GT5 Georgetown 36b5 in April that was basically unused. This one and mine are very similar, I flipped all the doors to open up and put holders on them so thy stay open. interestingly your dislikes and likes are the same as my wife and mine about our 2018. I actually made the lower bunk into a cat kennel for our 2 cats so they have some space from the dog. The 2 full size baths are great for when you have guests because they don't have to go into the bedroom to shower and you can actually use both showers at the same time if you wanted to. And let me tell you what you can get a bunch of food and drinks crammed into that fridge and freezer.

I'm surprised the drop down door upper cabinets was not a dislike. Found them inconvenient for use as well as the storage under dining room seats. Like accessing a dark tunnel. The rest of the coach was nice, except for rear full bath. If you look at how close the sink is to cabinet, lots of water will be hitting that wood.

    • @foxcroftandrea3213

Excellent walkway!!!! The rest of the RV : not so sure - I just feel like corners were cut everywhere starting with the cubbies under the seats & the unfinished wood. There are many ways to cut back for example put hinges on the banquet seats or use a high grade linoleum instead of cheap carpet. A unit like this is most likely going to be a family with kids under 10. The finishes need to be kid proof, and super easy to clean. Keep the RV super family friendly and you will have a customer for life.

Low mounted side cameras, bad news. Not full body paint, no. Propane quick connect under a cover, I like that. Nice, inverter generator that is great. I don't like buck units but still nice
Single screen, I hate those. I want two screens one of the rear and side cameras and one for the entertainment with Car Play. With the number of people that things sleeps they better have put 2 full bathrooms in it. Hey, we have the Splendid combo washer/dryer in our Bounder and it is fantastic, we love it. Make sure you get the vented version. Nice bunk RV with lots of sleeping space and not a bad price. The bunk beds not folding up not a big deal. You buy a bunk for the bunks. It is mid-range but nice.

I remember 8 years ago when you could get one of these, minus the second bath but a residential fridge and full body paint for $90k!
For $201k I would expect full body paint and a residential fridge as well as a reclining sofa. No need for a sleeper sofa with all the sleeping options.
Do not like the small outside storage doors and lack of storage, which brings up the paltry 2500lb CCC! With the amount of people this can sleep, you will never be able to load it for a weeks trip for a family of 5! It needs a larger chassis like the 24klb chassis.
I own a 12 Georgetown XL and it is much nicer than this.
If I was going to spend $200k plus it would be a DP, even if it were a couple years old.

Other-than-that, this is a awesome floorplan for my family of 6. I also like how the infotainment screen was installed as high as possible. It has a very nice and large RV fridge. I think this is an amazing amount of Coach for the money. I really like Forest River products. But….
    Three likes:
    Two full baths
    Lots of sleeping areas
    Nice colors
    Three dislikes:
For all that sleeping area , not much inside storage.
    NO PANTRY-
    Overhead storage doors open DOWN.
This coach would not be for us, Even if our kids were still traveling with us. I would trade the guest full bath to a half and change inside storage. We could live with a shared shower.

My question to you is how do I know which motorhomes are for full time. I will probably buy used when ready. Have to sell my home next yr.
I just want to say I feel bad for you and Andrea in those hot RVs. The bunkhouse Bounder and Southwind are quite a bit nicer. They have nicer cabinetry, and the bunkhouse portion is more flexible, use it as a bunk, use it as a closet or storage. I also prefer that multi bath units have centralized holding tanks, not two separate sets of tanks. I’m pretty sure that the master bath has its own holding tanks on this rig. I do like the double water heater, one for the master and another for the center bath and kitchen. But it also means you have more water heaters to winterize and to service. The sound bar below the kitchen sink is going to be a technical disaster. You never mix water, or the presence of water, with electronics. That sound bar will be toast with a few years of use near the kitchen sink. Overall Fleetwood has a nicer competing product in the Class A bunkhouse rig.

    • @dodgeguyz
      @dodgeguyz 2 года назад

My buddy has a 17 Bounder. It’s all the same underneath all that nice trim. The dash was falling apart, we had to reinforce it to keep it from bouncing. The entire MH is a rattle trap! I agree on the bunks, it would be nice if the top one folded up for hanging storage. As far as the holding tanks, it would be too hard to mount 2 very large holding tanks to accommodate both bathrooms. So it’s easier to install smaller tanks in each respective location.
However this RV is useless to lost people that need it with its low 2500lb CCC. That will be eaten up with a tank of gas, 2 full water heaters 20 gallons of fresh water and 500lbs in passengers. Then you still need to stock it for a trip!

    • @jeromep
      @jeromep 2 года назад

@@dodgeguyz Build quality in the industry continues to be a sticking point, even as things do seem to be improving. 2017 wasn't really a good year for too many manufactures. The CCC is low, not out of the range for a gasser, however I don't know too many folks that really pay much attention to that on motorized RVs. They load them up and they go. Capacity numbers are notoriously low on most rigs to protect the manufacturer from liability from people who really abuse these machines. A couple extra humans on board, an extra drawer of clothing, or a cabinet filled with canned chili isn't going to make a significant difference to the capabilities or overall performance of the chassis. I'd be more concerned about what I'm towing vs. what I'm carrying. If I go out dry camping for a weekend I completely fill my water tank at home with city water I trust and know that I'm carrying a lot of weight. By the end of the trip 3/4 or more of my water tank is in my black and gray and I dump those at the nearest dump station, which is usually much closer to my campsite than home, so in reality on a round trip I'm not carrying 100 gallons of water for the entire circuit, just about half of it. Either way, I just focus on doing good periodic chassis maintenance and stay on top of the condition of the rig.

you dont need to 2 showers -- the likelihood of 2 ppl showering at the same time = 0
( not sure thats even good for the pump system, someone can answer that )
take out that shower fix the toilet for PPP and add a stackable W/D
make the upper bunk a pantry, plenty of sleeping up front if you don't need 7 sleeping spaces
that would make a great pantry for a family of 4 or 5.

This is so nice, but I do not believe that any motor home needs 2 baths when storage and pantries are so much more important😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 And, any specific motor home that you are standing in and reviewing better damn well have an MSRP and an asking price👎👎👎

It's too big and heavy for gas engine to pull

I have one similar and the 7.3 gasser moves it just fine. We also tow a car with no problem. 8.2 mpg on our 5000 mile trip. Much better than the old V10.
