- My 1st catch of the 1st run is the Santa Fe 347C (F7) leading the CSRM Spookomotive Excursion Train with Amtrak 281 (F40PHR) trailing 2nd on the ex SP Walnut Grove branch line at 10:09am
Engine
ATSF 347C EMD (F7A)
Amtrak 281 EMD (F40PHR)
I love those old locomotives. That horn was super loud!
I have never seen a Santa Fe locomotive with a Amtrak locomotive with those random passenger cars but I think it is a great catch
Im so happy to know that such locomotive still exist
Very good catch❤️🚂
It’s great that the California state railroad museum is taking out Santa Fe F7 347C on occasions I wonder if the Museum is planning to bring her back to operating condition that way she will have power to operate her headlight and Gyra light which is like a Marz light, but the differences instead of going in a figure 8 a Gyra light goes in a circle in Santa Fe was known for having a special Gyra light design that went in a complete circle along the outer, most edge, all the way around the light holder
I heard that it will be brought back eventually.
Nice to see a Santa Fe F-unit on the move.
Thank you
Its a ex CP its a recreation its a decoy BNSF
@@IceFoxTrainSpottingno the 347C was donated by Santa Fe themselves.
It's definitely not a cp i do not know what you're on about
Awesome catch! Glad to see it run. Wish I would of known about it.
Thanks i think it would be a good chance for ATSF 347C might run on the CSRM polar express train next month we should see
This is Shotgun Tom Kelly from SiriusXM, 60's Gold, Channel 73. That day, I was the one along with my friend John Bolin in the cab Honking the Horn of the 347 C Santa Fe F 7 being pushed as a tribute to my Dad J G Irwin who was the Engineer and ran the 347 C when it was in service. Scott Bolin from Sky Drone Media was the man who made this happen that day. A RUclips video is being produced from the inside the cab. Be looking for it soon. I talked all about it on my National Radio show on SiriusXM and I still I'm. It was a wonderful day that I will never forget.
Seated in the same seat my Dad sat in when he was the HogHead of the 347 C for many years.
That horn is amazing
Man I miss Santa Fe trains like those
Nice to see the F-7 going, also funny to see it off and letting the F40 do the work.
Nice catch!
That’s an awesome sounding Leslie RS5T on that old f-unit
It’s So Good to See ATSF 347C In Operation After Being Displayed
Beautiful piece of engineering. Greetings from the UK

Adam do you mind if we use the first 10 seconds of your footage for a video we are putting together. thanks scott
RIP to that lady's ears who was jogging beside it
That bronze-tabbed Leslie S5T must have been REALLY LOUD.
*Louder than a K5LLA*
I think that's the rarest lashup ever on the CSRM train. I hope the run it for the polar express train
Yeah they will in December of this year
Beautiful locomotive absolutely perfect
Beautiful horn on it!
What no headlights?
I love that horn
I never thought I’d see the day that f7 would run. Sad it can’t run under its own power tho
Whats the story behind this F7A?
@@easternroutemainlinevideos6823 this F7a specifically was used for an Operation Lifesaver film. It was then sent to the CSRM after that.
thats cool
@@HotShotDesigns3D That's the reason why it's the only true ATSF F7 remaining. All of the others were converted into CF7s.
Not only 347C is the only one, ATSF F7 number 49 is also another one of those remaining F units.
Santa Fe❤ all the way
How do you know what engine is pulling before it gets to the crossing
How does that jogger not get jumpscared half to death??? 2:09
I'm asking the same question.
Headphones maybe?
@@davidng2336 no the train horn is loud. You can still hear it through the headphones.
@@ghosttrain312 that’s what I thought. Then she must not care.
I believe the F40 is supplying power for the train
It's running again?? That's news to me. Sure wish I were on the right side of the country to see it run!
Edit: I just saw comments and another video confirming it's being pushed. I guess the RS5T threw me off
*OWW MY EARS!!*
Why is the bell having steam noises while it's ringing
Beautiful!
What is this horn called?
Great catch. Horn sounds good.
When can I have a ride on that F7!
You might have to give permission from the California State Railroad Museum crew
@@adamghimenti6988 that would be so so cool!!
I thought 347C was mechanically incomplete
It is. The 281 is pushing it.
With the popularity of the warbonnet, I'm surprised less were preserved.
The scary part is not having the headlight on.🙄
Probably not functioning or even hooked up probably working on it
It wasn’t running, it was being pushed by the Amtrak unit and using its air to blow the horn. Dead giveaway when the headlights don’t work and no sound of the prime mover till the Amtrak unit rolls by! It’s just an expensive lawn ornament.
Very nice. I subscribed.
Thank you
Awesome
Those Locomotives should come back to regular services
Looks like the rainbow era has returned!
No headlights on?
The locomotive isn’t operational and so it’s simply being pushed. Eventually they will restore it to operation.
But I do agree that the headlight should have been working.
@@davidng2336 Thank you. Such a beautiful locomotive. My favorite!
Leslie rs5t train horn
Two shorts, an extra-short, and an ultra-long, into a ‘fuck it’ lol
Nice part time engineers. No headlamps are on. NTSB must like you guys..
Gotta love that f7
Pretty sure the S5T is authentic to Santa Fe
@@concorde2003 THREE?????????
@@concorde2003 thats gotta be about 6k worth of horns.
whoa fierce horn!!!!!!!
You see all it is is Amtrak and BNSF why can’t we just have Rock Island and Santa Fe also and Union Pacific and CSX
Rock Island, Southern Pacific and Santa Fe were good railroads to see in the old days, but now we can't see these railroads the same way they used to be, sad😥
This horn is so weird
The Santa Fe F7 rolls again on excursions with the Sacramento Southern Railroad of Sacramento California. Santa Fe 347C is back in action. Santa Fe #347C was once seen pulling the super chief of the Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe Railway.
Search shotgun Tom Kelly kusi to see the story
engineer doesn't know how to operate the headlights or what?
Yikes, no headlight
The reason behind that is because the locomotive for some reason can’t be put under its own power. So they had 281 hook up it’s air hoses for the bell and horn to work.
❗️ No headlights 👮🏼♂️
Why is he not in compliance with his lights on
Leslie A200 and Nathan P5 had a baby

Trainz simulator
Look at all the yuppy cars crossing over and not giving a care about these classic train’s…rrrrrr
Awesome
