Nick, I am infinitely grateful to have learned about these teachings through your videos. I have been a follower of yours since you were in the old workshop in New York. Congratulations on your new project.
I recently asked myself why there is nothing that the loudness button on older home hi-fis did. But somehow it's smarter, i.e. it depends on the volume. Now you're telling me that my DSP has something like that and I just haven't activated it. Very cool
Hey Nick. I’m not quite ready but soon I’d love to have a consultation for a system. So I know what I’m getting into. I live about 2 hours away and you guys have the materials and knowledge to accomplish exactly what I’m looking for.
@13:00 Ive been wondering if an Ultra dsp can be setup to do automatic switching between Optical and Coaxial digital sources. The system im working towards will have a headunit with optical output as a main source and then a Fiio DAP as an aux source. It would be cool to have the DSP switch over to the Optical headunit if a phonecall or Navigation command comes in while listening to the Coaxial aux source. As i understand it, this would only happen if I used RCA low level inputs from my main source/headunit. Maybe whay you described at this 13 minute spot could work for me instead, using a Conductor to quickly manually switch the 2 digital sources . Seems less cumbersome than Navigating through a Director!
I literally just wrapped up a video going over the input switching. None of the Audiotec Fischer DSP's will automatically switch between optical and coaxial at the time of this comment. But, you can still easily switch with the conductor by having input source switching enabled, or by just saving an optical tune, and a coaxial tune and switching between them. I agree though, I think it would be awesome to automatically switch between the two, but I do not think its possible with how the hardware is setup. Its the same signal path, just two different types of SPDIF inputs on one path. What you can do in your situation is use an optical input HEC Card, and have the digital input set to coaxial, and switch automatically via HEC and via Digital.
Thanks for making this video. I just installed my ultra S last night, and was having a hard time with lowering sub level. I'm gonna go check it some more now.( I'm trying to figure out, how do I know, aside from choosing different colors, my level is going down? (Sub level) As I'm in the section, turning my conductor, and I don't notice any decrease/increase, then I notice a blue/reddish LEDs that seem to be enabling the level increase/decrease?)
Speakers that have frequency cuts done actively by an audio processor (DSP) should not use physical crossovers, correct? In other words, in these cases I “never” use physical crossovers, correct?
Sound Setup is necessary for me when my wife is in the passenger seat. I have to change the setup to the one that set time alignments to passenger seat. Happy wife happy life !!!
that's a great idea. I had the same idea too. Otherwise, the question could arise why the whole thing costs so much money if the sound sticks to the speaker
Thank you for keep updating this series. Your DSP PC-Tool videos are the only detailed instructions that are tremendously helpful for beginners.

Many thanks for your informing videos. They are actually tutorials that fuel one's enthusiasm with respect to ATF products and car audio upgrades.
Thank you, very well explained 👍
Appreciate the video. Going to install and try out tomorrow in my 87 Foxbody with v18 dsp/amp.

Great video! I have the 1st version of the Conductor and good lord are those LED's bright
Thank you for making this video. Now I feel a little bit more comfortable about setting this up.
Hell yea about Tone controls :)
I bought Conductor 50% because URC4 allows only Sub volume, not tone control adjustment.

I wish it would be possible to adjust the filter frequencies of the tone control with the knob too
Thank you.... I truly appreciate these videos about the Helix DSP

Thank you, i am a Beginner, it was very helpfull.
