【TUTORIAL】Paint Digital Anime Hair With Me

[THANK YOU FOR THE 1K SUBS] As promised, here are a tutorial video on how I shade hair, I wrote my thinking process and step by step in hope you guys can follow them easily!

PS: All brushes used are default except for the opaque watercolor brush!
Opaque watercolor brush = sub tool detail-- starting & ending-- uncheck all boxes
Also this is my first time in making this type of video, please forgive me if there are any mistakes or if it is hard to understand and follow, just let me know in the comments! I'd appreciate it ❤

Thank you for this guide, subbed. Are your brushes available anywhere? I don't understand much about brush editing yet and can't seem to replicate the one being used here, so being able to grab that would be helpful.

THank you for following my guide! Sadly I don't have my brushes up anywhere. But basically for the opaque watercolor brush, you just need to turn off the "starting and ending" part from the default brush

Good tutorial, tho may I recommend to put color (not white) on the subtitle and make it a little bigger coz it's quiet hard to read it while watching the tutorial. Still a good tutorial nonetheless. 🙏

Thanks for the video. I'm curious on how you deem certain shapes for the shadows & stuff. is there something you try to follow? Can you explain?

I'm not exactly sure which part you're referring to but, in terms of shaping the hair, I usually think of each strand as a 3D object. Since I think it's important to make the hair look volumned, I just keep in mind to keep the hair looks like it has depth, therefore create shapes while doing so by shaping the lighting and shadow placement. I hope this helps!
