Omg this is the best. You don't know how many times I have watched this because I paint ships 😊 and it's the best coz these are in the water 😊 I lived in Cornwall and always watched the tall ships. I'm an artist that paints ships like Turner painted ships 😊
I’m glad that over ten years later it’s still giving people pleasure. I moved away from Portsmouth years ago and still miss the boat club. Didn’t Turner paint The Fighting Temeraire? By coincidence ne of the guys at the club had a model of the Temeraire
I moved away from Cornwall 4 years ago...yes turner did paint the fighting temeraire 😊 one of my favourites 😊 yes it does give me pleasure but it's highly useful footage. Thank you for uploading it all those years ago. I've actually watched it on and off all that time 😊 I've finally burst and told you I do. And more than likely will carry on doing 😊
I build armed RC warships in the USA but our cannons are not as dramatic as these. Where can I learn more about how these ships are armed? Thanks for posting these great videos of these amazing ships.
Brian Alexander I agree. I would like to build many of these ships. I already have molds for some large Schooner hulls. Have you found any info on how they are doing this type of cannon fire? I'll let you know what I find when I find it. Take care mate.
@@the10thleperI am also interested in cannons.Did you find any information about how they make this kind of cannon fire? I am very grateful if you could help me!
@@snake5320 sorry, not looked at these in ages. If you contact Portsmouth Model Boat Display Team, someone there should be able to help. I’ve not been in the club for years but I think they’re still active an online. Good luch
Hi, these were all built from scratch by members of the Portsmouth Model Boat Display Team, I’ve not been in the club for many years now but as far as I recall from then, nobody was making similar ships for sale.sorry.
The masts and other "hits" are made so that they can fall/drop/explode by radio control, at the end of the battle everything is reset and ready to go again (unless something really goes wrong)
Валер, ну какой шедевр? Если бы они еще и под парусами ходили, тогда да, а так ... Да и стрельба тоже, кого сейчас удивишь хлопком петарды, если только таких как ты. 😁
Oh boy, well I have news for you... I introduce you to the PUNIC WARS! Ramming ships to make them sink was quite popular then! ruclips.net/video/yRmOWcWdQAo/видео.html
SO BRILLIANT!! I WISH I COULD JOINED THE BATTLE WARHIP YAMATO WW2 - MANY SOME CANONS & ZERO FIGHTER PLANE!!! IT MIGHT BE A GOOD BATTLE AGAINST THE GALEON SHIPS!!! SO... WHO IS THE WINNER?? =WARSHIP YAMATO V.S. THE GALEON SHIPS=
They all have electric motors, sometimes we had to sail them with the sails reefed as the wind wanted the ship to go one way and we were trying to drive it a different direction with the motor.
Hi Fred, you are right, for a true scale look they are way too fast, but we found that when we do displays like these people get impatient for action , you might even spot the odd one going backwards!
these boats are incredible
Many good times there me and my grandparents playing with rc boats only live 15 mins
Master and commander...🙃😉😁😁
Yey
Thats incredible huh i want some of those
Me to...

Is this what happens when jack sparrow, will turner, Barbosa, Salazar, Davy Jones, and lord becket all command ships?
*captain* jack sparrow
Zenji and James Norrington)
Yo this is the coolest thing ever!
@@Jeffrey9In4Chains thanks they were great fun to sail and fight with
I have found what flavor autism I have and it’s this
Where's The Black Pearl ❤
awesome 😎👍
Thanks 😀
I wonder if they would let me join with some sort of goofy cartoon ship that fired crunchberries.
Does anybody know where I can buy rc ships similar to those shown in the video? Preferably the 2nd-rate and the man o' war rc ships

@@gsmithdsl well that's rather unfortunate, I've scoured the depths of ebay and amazon in hopes to find one 😂
Can you please tell me how to make these guns fire like this or at least where to get them from
Mathew Mitchell Any luck finding information on this yet?
It’s all custom made stuff, I’d say remote control
Gunpowder driven guns or something
Thanks
Extremely cool
This is so fucking cool
are they actually shooting something r are they blanks?
Trent Collins judging by that mast that fell down, I would say they are shooting very powerful blanks

Can you please tell me how to build these cannon ?
leehsieh Hsieh Any luck with how they made these cannons fire?
Is it possible to share the gunfire technics? I'm going to build the Flying Dutchman on rc and would like working guns
bro Imagine if they could ram ships to sink it

Where do you buy these stuff
idk but i want 1
These boats are most likely all scratch built
So are they shooting tiny cannonballs or is it just for show
@@heathj7794 just for show. The cannon barrels are spiked so nothing can accidentally be fired out
WOW THATS CRAZY
@@Pako88888 thanks. They were some great times and fantastic models (not built by me)
How big is the biggest one, please?
The biggest ones are HMS Rodney and HMS Hood (I think) and are both about 9ft long (2.7mtrs)
Very cool.😊
I was born in 2012🥲
Are they moved by wind?
They all have electric motors, sometimes we had to sail them with the sails reefed as the wind wanted the ship to go one way and we were trying to drive it a different direction with the motor.
What's with the classical music??
Did any sink
Thankfully they didn’t
They are moving too fast in my opinion

Haha I understand. It will of course never be the real thing
such beautiful midels using engines is such a waste... Sail them!
