Aloha! Awesome video. Lots of good information here. I wasn't aware of "weight" vs. "swing weight." Makes sense. I have good power on lots of shots, not all, but I prefer to have some control and a paddle that I can maneuver quickly when up at the net playing guys who have hands faster than lightening! I am currently using the Pro Kennex and any arm issues I had, went away almost immediately. That was one of the main reasons I chose it. Thanks again. :)
Hi Scott. We do not have them in that form. We do have an updated paddle selection guide with considerations you can take into account. You can find it at betterpickleball.com.
Great video! I know feel a lot more confident in what to look for and ask for in a paddle. One thing you didn't mention is WHERE TO BUY a paddle...or...does it even matter. Obviously, you want to be able to hold the paddle but other than that, do all stores (big box and mom/pops) carry the same stuff?
Great question Noah. Best bet right now is probably Pickleball Central. Last time I checked they had a pretty liberal return policy that allowed you to try the paddles out. Big box stores are not your best bet if you want to get a decent paddle.
there are hard, intermediate and soft paddles. I prefer a hard paddle as I can feel the ball better, if that makes sense. I use the z5 with the nomex core.
A little surprised the Paddletek Tempest Wave Pro wasn’t on the list. Was there a substantive reason, or just due to trying to limit number of paddle suggestions to a reasonable number?
@@BestPickleballCoach Doubles only for me. Not really needing extra reach, just prefer a short handle and the PIN comes stock with one.. The reviews are pretty poor on this paddle though. Hope the warranty holds up.
Do you prefer the Bantam EXL or the Gamma Mirage? All three seem to be around 8 ounces. Any other paddles in that price range and weight that you would recommend?
Welcome to the game. Your best bet is to try out the paddle first. Pickleball Centra allows you to test drive the paddles. Those are both good choices in their price range.
I am a beginner...never played tennis, paddleball or anything like that. Even your paddle choice tips are confusing for me. What would you recommend for a beginner, senior, looking to play for excercise & ffor fun.
Hello Donna. Welcome to pickleball. There are several models that will fit the bill. I would stick with a paddle under $150 (you can get a decent paddle for around $100). It is hard to beat the Diadem V52. I believe it is $129. The SLK beginner paddles are also going to be good.

Watch the arm with the Z :)
Great job!
Thank you Robb. Appreciate the feedback.

Curious to know if it was tested. I play to demo it sometime soon
Just wasn’t in the batch of paddles we were testing. Thanks
Hey Tony have you played the "Pin" by Gamma? I have many paddles, but no "blade" at the moment. I've been playing a bit over 2yrs.

@@BestPickleballCoach Seems to help with quick hands for me.
But then you’d have have to play with a paddle called “Gamma”
Great video!
Thank you Mike
