Here is an idea that everyone would love to see. How do you make a video. Including shot tracer, editing, music. Basically the whole process or routine.
@@HKRoad Do you hear it hit the ground? No, someone behind the camera caught the putter. He wouldn’t just throw a putter on the ground that he got for free
Love coming across old RS videos and this was funny because been looking for a new putter. Tried just about everything in the shop and ended up really wanting the fang Mizuno. It just felt...right! Wasnt too soft, wasn't too hard, the grip made it feel close to the head of the putter. Putting is all about feel though isn't it? Its just what works for you and I know some good players who picked their putter of choice up at a garage sale, or have a putter they snagged from a mini golf course! haha
Have you ever tried the mizuno by bettenardi putters? Still rockin mine since so many years back, cant finns anything that i like lite than it when it comes to feel or looks
Great re-review Rick. I really appreciate how you came back at this to check yourself. Your discussion about using the mizuno ball could have been the problem and I like how you point out the smaller harder grip possibly having to do with it. You mention that the grip can be changed but for me if a putter at that price point has a crappy grip from the get go why buy it and I don’t like the thought of having to change is out since that may negatively change the feel also. To me it has to feel good at the golf shop before you buy it.
Great putters. I still have a long counterbalanced Bettinardi, can't bring myself to get rid of it even though I game a Toulon Las Vegas now. Love that putter!
They feel amazing!!!!!! I tried them at a PGA super store with literally every other putter made and the Mizuno VI felt worlds better than all of them. Even the big boys…..
I don’t know if you will see this but I have a serious question about the Black RBZ, I’m from the US and a new one is around $200. Do you think it is worth that much?
Interesting analysis there. I've not tried one but 'feel' is subjective when it comes to what's good or not. I'm glad you remade a video addressing them. That's a fiar thing to do. Traditional rubber grips would likely improve the feel, softer Winn style grips we have all come to know mute it. So it really comes down to what you want. Reality is putter feel isn't going to change an awful lot. Forged milled heads mean they are going to feel just as good as a scotty. The grips may change how you perceive that but I don't see how you could argue otherwise. It's steel and the head shapes are identical. No inserts and a similar milling pattern on the face. The milling can change the feel too by a lot. But they looks the same depth.
I've never played a game of golf in my life, but yet I enjoy watching Rick's videos! Just goes to show you, video quality and the personality of the host of the video is EVERYTHING.
Rick, I owe you a big thank you! I never considered the Mizuno M craft and wouldn't have even picked it up if not for your video saying, "it's not there yet". I didn't care for the blades and moved on to the M-Craft type VI. I have to say that I didn't think much of it the first 5 minutes of my demo but the next 5 minutes, I had to have it and it's now in my bag! Almost forgot... It's BLUE and it's SPECTACULAR!!!
I like the look of the thinner blade putter. I have never been a fan of the wider putters. Thanks for your videos I am hoping to replace my clubs in 2021. They are over 10 years old.
Always cracks me up seeing how HARD Rick, Pete and Matt, hit the balls with their putters, just looks like they're CRUSHING the ball. Any of those putts on the courses I play would LONG gone off the green, LONG GONE. Why are their greens so SLOW? Is it even a good test/comparison for any golf balls or putters etc on those greens vs FAST (compared to their typical speed greens)?
Please! review the new-ish Tour Edge Wingman Putter! I tried then bought the #03 version, there are 3 types. it is BY FAR the straightest best feeling putter i have ever had and ive had dozens and tested hundreds.
When changing the weights, you say that you have better feel. What about a counterbalance grip to offset the additional headweight? Do you think that would help as well?
I have a blue Mizuno OMOI 3 mallet and love it!!!! It came with a Lamkin sink fit pistol grip that is moderately oversized and nice on the hands.I tested this against a Scotty Newport 2 and the Mizuno beat it for me hands down. If you want to have sticker shock see what two sets of putter weights cost on the Scotty Cameron site. They are free with the Mizuno. Maybe you should give the Mizuno OMOI range a try.
When I had a putter fitting it came down to the Sik Pro and the Mizuno M Craft 2. They both felt great. I wonder if throwing a better grip and a stability shaft would improve the feel?
I’m currently looking to try a new putter. I’m finally feeling better about my stroke, now it’s about getting into a more modern putter. I like the weights option!
I use an old Mizuno Bettinardi C06 Precision Milled and it is brilliant. It has a wonderful feel off the face, especially when you put a bit of top spin on the ball. Perhaps they have gone downhill since the split with Bettinardi?
I think some of the other putter manufacturers should follow suit with the weight kits. This for me would allow players to match their putters to different green speeds. Hopefully Mizumo have at least started a trend with this innovation.
I have to say I have tried a Scotty Cameron, and other $300 putters and didn't putt any better with them than I do with my Odyssey Dual Force 990. Plus I can pick up replacements online for $20. Who cares about the feel, the object is making putts. I will pocket the $280.
Putters are always a personal choice. I have tried alot of different putters and I keep going back to a 25 year old Wilson putter I payed $5 for at a discount store. Also I 22 putt alot and 3 putt once every 48 holes. My average is 34 putts per round. It's all about learning to read putts better I think for me
I was wondering about something regarding the weights. If you consistently push or pull your putts, could you use different weights at heal and toe to compensate? Or is there a rule that the weights fitted have to be the same?
Hey rick was wondering about a new set of affordable clubs what would you recommend my ones at the moment are not the greatest because they are getting old
Looks like you ought to hang onto that LAB putter, Rick. In the meantime, you should check out the MLA putters --- they've got this weird alignment system on top that is really just incredible.
A question Rick. Would tinkering with a different weight at both heel & toe help correct open or closed club faces at impact? Might it slightly help with pushed or pulled putts? Thanks.
I've not tried these but I think that it's not necessarily that these weren't good putters, but if you're spending $300 on a putter, it needs to almost be one of the best clubs in the bag. I'd love to see Rick do a video like "Best $100 putter" I'm on a bit more of a budget for clubs and would love to get some thoughts! Great video Rick!
Great to see you came back to check out the full range. I quite like the of the blade blue. Putters are so personal you could be right about the grip. Food for thought.
I just got fitted for the first time at 45. Was fitted with the hot metal pro with project x shafts. Perfect spin and workability for me. Would have got more than irons but can’t afford them right now. Went wanting titliest t-100, but mizuno was a much better fit for me.
Putter preference is always a personal choice like any club. I personally won’t dish out 300USD for a putter I think I might have to regrip immediately. Does Mizuno offer different grip options?
Rick. I'd love if you could do a video on playing with a FULL bag of titlest clubs. I'd really enjoy it and loved to see how you like them. Thank you! Love the channel.
Hey Rick, I came to the same conclusion until I tried the same blade you favored, with an Evnroll Gravity Grip. I firmly think this grip change completes the club, also I bought it on the spot.
I bought a Mizuno Bettarndi putter years ago. The grip was not straight. Brand new purchase. Mizuno were very unhelpful. Bettarnidi sorted it out though. Great putter brilliant feel.
Do the blade style feel like they are on more of an 'arc' when you use them? I have one of each style and I feel better with a mallet style as to me they feel like they swing 'straighter'? Do you end up going down one road or the other??
Been using the Mcraft 1 in ion blue for a couple of months now. Was the only thing that could lure me away from my Scotty Cameron Newport 1.5 that I had used for years!! Absolutely love and recommend the Mcraft for feel. Ps my grip is the tacky one not the corded.
My clubs are 19 years old (fathers ‘hand me down’ cal x14’s) I’ve played on/off for 15 years. Would i notice a massive difference if I upgraded ?? Cheers guys
Always curious how a putter head shape, design can be very similar to say a Ping Anser yet feel so different? Could you compare similar designed heads yet have the same shaft and grip on and be able to feel the difference? Should this be done blindfolded? Or heads with no distinguishing brand name or colouring? That I would like to see. 👍
In my opinion the most underrated brand is cleaveland. The driver is great, the irons are good, wedges are always amazing, and the putters are so underrated especially the Huntington Beach soft putters for the price are excellent. Would love to see your opinion on them Rick!
Discovered your channel about 2 months ago and LOVE IT, just can’t help going from video to video , ESPECIALLY befor I go play I check out all the tips , thanks rick
I was just about to go try these out somewhere. They are a little pricey but I feel like I really need to fully commit to Mizuno in my bag and get rid of my dinky cheap ping putter
Been getting into podcasts a bit past couple months, always room for more! Also, intrigued by Mizuno Wedges review. Haven’t gotten them at my store yet, hopefully soon
I have the evnroll er2 centre shaft . Always liked the look of a more bladed syle with face balance . Was a bad putter and now it's almost a strong point in my game . Would never have considered it without your putter testing videos Rick .
I tried the Mizuno's v. Scotty Cameron's and they are good, but they just don't have the same 'pop' feel. The Taylor Made Spider X does, but that is the best putter on the market (value, performance, pros who use it etc.). In terms of irons really like the Mizuno's mp20's as well, (would love a set of the copper externals as i have some copper ping eye2's), but again i use the Titlest 620mbs and they just have a cleaner feel, like you don't even have a club in your hand it's so damn smooth.
Just got the forked one of these, tested out a few in the building, I liked this one the most🤷🏼♂️vs the spider tour, spider x, spider s, but the spider s was runner up or the tour
Rick. Can you review the Inesis 500 range from Decathlon? I've lost my job with Covid-19, so I can't buy expensive big names. Apparently they have full set of Irons with UST Recoil shafts at £350!! Golf Monthly rated them big time - but love your thoughts and reviews.
The retailer where I live doesn’t carry Mizuno so after seeing this I want to try a blue putter as well. A little off topic but I notice you and other RUclips golf professionals don’t use stock shafts on some of your drivers so when you do your next “What’s in the Bag” video could you mention what shaft you use with your driver and/or fairway wood? I just had my F9 reshafted so I find that interesting
@@soloking2141 I agree with that 100%. I currently use a Ping Answer 2. I do like it, and I'm used to it. It has good roll, great feeling off the face, I think it's more me than the putter.🤷🏻♂️
Do the Odyssey white hot OG putters next please Rick , their mallet #5 center shaft was my favourite putter I've ever used. I think they range from #1 - #7 which includes the hugely popular two ball. Interesting to see if they have improved them with all the modern tech available now since the original release in early 2000s. You may even compare them to the originals if you can readily find them , now that would be something.
Really enjoy your videos. I have played golf all my life. Had a good handicap. I had to stop playing for awhile do to job constraints. Was unhappy when I came back to golf as I could never quite find my swing. I played horrible and thought about quitting. Then I found your channel used it to go back thru my swing mechanics and now I have my old sing again. Enjoying golf again. Driver, fairway, and irons all where they should be. Thank you. BTW I have a set (2-PW) of Wilson Staff Fluid feel blades I played in the 70's. Want to try them out?
Thanks for the video Rick! Love your reviews. I have Mizuno HMB irons and the blue wedges (50,54,58). I was going to fill the rest of my bag with Mizuno equipment, but I'm not sure about the rest of their products.
@@MXJEFF94 Mizuno were in my Trackman fitting session. I, personally, didn’t notice a huge feel difference but a huge dispersion difference. That’s why I’m playing Mavrik
I came across an M craft type 3 but in blue. I am not fan of the blue, HOWEVER this putter is awesome. The putter is great and hits all the marks I need it too, the feel is amazing and no insert helps with distance control too. But I was skeptical and don’t even like the looks but it ain’t leaving the bag
any chance we could get a Cleveland Golf Huntington Beach putter lineup video like this one? They're a $130 -ish USD putter that looks well built (minus weights) for a slightly more reasonable price. Would be interested to hear your opinion of them...
I know it is kinda tough to put it into precise words, but what qualities do you weigh for a putter and how would you Rick describe the performance of a putter to your liking?
I love my Mizuno irons ! I tried the putters as well but could not get past the feel! Just not up to the Mizuno standard Yet! I’ll stick with my Piretti

@@soloking2141 I agree with that 100%. I currently use a Ping Answer 2. I do like it, and I'm used to it. It has good roll, great feeling off the face, I think it's more me than the putter.🤷🏻♂️
Mashine? Is that word suppose to be machine?
Rick was scared of losing that Mizuno check
please don't accuse without proof...That's bad faith.

I prefer a harder feel for putting. I feel like you can "feel" the ball better which improves control (for me at least).
Hi Rick! Are those Air Max 1 G true to size? Looking to order a pair
Rick, so what's your goto putter? Evnroll is your current the best ?
Thanks for the video Rick! Love your reviews. I have Mizuno HMB irons and the blue wedges (50,54,58). I was going to fill the rest of my bag with Mizuno equipment, but I'm not sure about the rest of their products.
I play a Betti, but Mizuno putters are the shit. So good. Their manufacturing is spectacular
Remember Rick, nothing feels like a mizuno!
There are plenty of others that feel better than Mizunos (Make sure you try the new Srixon ZX7 irons....).
@@MXJEFF94 Mizuno were in my Trackman fitting session. I, personally, didn’t notice a huge feel difference but a huge dispersion difference.
That’s why I’m playing Mavrik
Keep up the great work, you have got me back playing again after a few years away. thanks
I think finding a putter that "fits" a golfer is THE toughest choice in the game! Thank you, Rick!
I love my Mizuno irons ! I tried the putters as well but could not get past the feel! Just not up to the Mizuno standard Yet! I’ll stick with my Piretti
Thanks for every video you've ever done. Improved my game tremendously
