Love seeing more exposure to Moonstone! I've been all the way into it since its original Kickstarter launch, and it's a fantastic little game with a great community.
Thanks! Not sure how soon we can get another Moonstone video out. I know I'd like to introduce it to Kim and do a playthrough but that could be a couple of months. Thanks for the kind words!
Such a fantastic look at the game and yes Moonstone is wonderful, I like yourself have so many painted and unpainted models from the range (and the new kickstarters just landed!). Really enjoyed this great video and of course had to hit the sub button.
Thanks for the kind words, they're really appreciated! Yeah I was looking at the new Kick too and honestly I don't know what to do. I wish I had more time to paint!
Thank you! Happy you enjoyed the video! I've never actually played that game but I've seen a playthrough and I do love the bluffing mechanic in it and the models are not as cool as Moonstone, but still pretty darn cool.
@@TabletopTurtle : Ok, another question: how does Moonstone feels compared to Malifaux? Esthetics aside. Are the card mechanics similar, or they are still different? I understand you also play malifaux (from another video).
@@EmanuelBradeanu Malifaux has more depth for sure but at the cost of a VERY extended play time. Cheating and playing cards in Malifaux doesn't feel at all like Moonstone aside from some light bluffing that can occur in Malifaux. You're dealing with your own personal deck of cards that you have for the round, where as Moonstone is a shared deck.
@@TabletopTurtle Perfect, since I'm interested in both of them. One more question if it's ok - how do you feel about Moonstone compared to Frostgrave? I played frostgrave and I really liked it, but I wish it had a bit more...meat. I felt the rules for combat were a bit too light and the characters were kinda generic.
@@EmanuelBradeanu It's heavier than Frostgrave but Moonstone is still fairly light in comparison to most miniature games but it plays quickly which feels nice.
Great video! Your board is beautiful! Have you build all the buildings by yourself? Or is there any 3d printing involved? I’m about to plan out my own moonstone board, but I’m not sure of the theme yet. How important is the terrain for the game play? I have only had a single game, and I didn’t feel like the terrain was that important.
Most of them are 3D printed; however, the ruins and the well are hand made. I have more buildings upstairs that I made myself but my 3D printed ones always end up looking better. I'll have to get better at hand making terrain at some point or I'll never be able to call myself a hobbyist! Honestly, terrain isn't super important as it is in many other games. Most of it is just used for cover here and there so you could get away with lots of scatter type terrain like boxes, chest high walls, etc.
@ thanks 🙏🏼 the buildings looks great, do you remember where the files are from? It’s hard to make good looking buildings, I think. Ok, nice to know that terrain isn’t very important. But for the the overall look it is, I feel like!
First time I saw labyrinth was a couple years after it released and I had just saw Childs Play. So i had bigger or should I say smaller things to worry about lol
Are these resin or plastic miniatures? On their website, they describe the minis as “resin”, so I’m confused. Aren’t those then minis from 3D printers?
I have had an eye on Moonstone for years now, and this video has made me want to finally try it out. Great work on the vid, you deserve more subs!
Happy you enjoyed it! Hype isn't usually our jam but we felt this game deserved every bit of it! Hopefully you enjoy it
Love this video so much! 🤩Thanks so much for covering us! - Tom
Thanks for the kind words and love your game, Tom!

It really does deserve it. I wish it had a Canadian distributor, since UK shipping is a pain.
@@TabletopTurtle RUclips keeps eating my replies. :( Was trying to send you a list of Canadian stockists and a Discord link.
I'm simply blown away by the quality of this video.
I suppose i must now purchase Moonstone.
I mean, what other choice do you have!? Saving money!? Thanks for the kind words!
@@TabletopTurtle 'saving money'? You mean, 'not buying models'? Preposterous.
@@TabletopTurtle Henceforth, all Catastrophe card plays will be called 'TRAUMA'.
Completely agree. Moonstone is a great little game, with great characters that are fun to paint and play with. Highly recommended.
Hopefully one day it becomes huge!
Great video, you swayed me to give this game a serious look now, even if only to paint the miniatures!
You'll have a lot of fun painting these things. I promise. I like to get creative with the bases for these little guys.
What a great video! More moonstone please!

Thanks! They're my favorite too!
Okay that terrain is awesome!!!! Where are those buildings from?

You have some beautiful houses there
Well thank you! We're still paying off our mortgages but we're doing our best with the current Tauber interest rates.
Looks like fun. Will have to try this one.
We will!
Kinda makes me wish they had a Canadian distributor
If you live close to the border, there are services that can ship it to a pickup location nearby on the other side.
Yeah, shipping from the UK is rough, but I do think they have a US distributor
Asked for you.
Try Split Tankard, or Industrial Park Games.
Moonstone was on my radar for a long time, great review. I wonder how this game compares to Freebooter's Fate? they seem quite similar.
