Great game. It's generally an all day thing, but there is an event for it at Adepticon each year. The guy running the event would like to expand it but is at the limit of terrain he has available. Might be worth reaching out to him on the Moonstone discord. We have a pretty decent group here in Chicago playing this.
Been playing Moonstone for over a year now and I love this game! Just received the Shades expansion from kickstarter and been assembling and painting them up for the past two weeks. Sooo stoked to get them to the table!
You've done an amazing job with these, currently getting into Moonstone as well. The terrain is super nice, can't wait till you get into Carnevale and develope some Venetian terrain as well
Yup! I'm still working on a 3x6 game board for my wife's Dominion Goblins and my Commonwealth Humans. Skaventide interupted that work a bit but we ❤ us some Moonstone!
Really nice one this it's so cool to see all the terrain your team comes up with its my favorite type of video you guys make. It would be neat to have a behind the scenes how you make the terrain video.
I've got the Moonstone Shades yesterday and I must see, Moonstone mini's are the mini's I have most fun with when painting. Haven't played the game yet, but the painting alone is just awesome.
I feel your pain, I have a number of starter sets, some painted up, some still in box (including Moonstone) but I don't want to play them until I have a the terrain and board to do the game justice. Bushido is the only one, so far, that I have managed this with - small model count and a 2 x 2 foot board - but still haven't played as it is fairly complex game to get someone into. I am however about a week away from having a full Hive Secundus board and gangs finished.
I'm gonna have to give this a try. With Sylvaneth being my preferred AoS faction. These faeries and faun look fun. This could be a good game to get my partner into minitures.
This is me with the 3d printed minis on Etsy. Our D&D campaign is a 28mm typical fantasy setting but at some point I splurged and now I have three 180mm tall Terminators that I need to paint as ancient colossal guardians for a dwarven empire, and now there's this even bigger Stormsurge proxy sitting in my cart staring at me like it wants a spot because if the dwarves get big stompy robots the elves wouldn't want to get shown up and probably have one too, but with their typical elegant lines, ya know? (send help)
I recently picked up "A Witch In Time" Moonstone set just to see the quality of the miniatures and I was very impressed! I might pick up "Eric, the Enlightened" and check out the quality of their larger sculpts. I'd either get into the game or use him as a Wood Elf proxy for Warhammer: The Old World. Nice Video!
Im sure you've heard this a lot but Trench Crusade is a hella cool universe and it keeps on getting new updates as it's up and coming! Hell and the church go to war in the trenches of World War I!
Who are these “most people” with this amazing power to see a model, purchase just the one model, take it home, and paint it before going out to buy another model? Sounds like myth to me.
I'm th same Jay, I collect OOP games (because they've finished and are "complete") Currently own everything for strontium dog, Mars attacks, Slaine (not out of production, but they haven't released anything in forever so I'm going to say its complete). I've got quite a lot of these things painted up and will only play with what's finished.
Talking about fomo, I went all in on the Half Tilt kickstarter by TTCombat. I was super pumped for the game and the fun looking miniatures. When I received my massive pledge reward I was stumped by the ammount and I have yet to touch any part of it…
Looks interesting and liking the characters of Moonstone. The one game that keeps almost hooking me is Venetian weird fantasy skirmish game Carnevale which just looks so interesting with the factions I keep almost buying all I can because I can't decide.
This is amazing!! I have a giant collection for Moonstone (mostly painted) and I absolutely adore it as a skirmish game. Any chance I could buy the printed terrain here? I'm in the UK
lovely characters. they seem to have everything i find hard to paint tho... they look advanced af. Maybe simple schemes for such characters can be a cool video.
Well I have to say, you're an artist. I've always been interested in miniatures games but I don't really have the artistic painting skill to paint all the models, or really the space for the games either. I'm also a big fan of tabletop RPGs, but I still appreciate the art that goes into miniatures.
Building on mushrooms is really short sighted, as mushrooms only exist for a few days. Their main purpose is to drop spores and die, to serve the reproductive purpose of the mycelium underneath.
This is my struggle too. Im over gw and rhere price gouging and im good at filtering rhrough it except on rare ocassions but newer games i get sucked in. Newest plight blood and plunder blackbeard set on salw for 100 hucks from 140
wait, you printed the terrain with resin, not FDM? Would those buildings parts fit on a Mars2 pro printbed? The size limit of resin has made me not have a lot of good terrain options, but I really like those buildings. If so I may have to sign up for this month, in spite of financial tightness around this time of year.
crap, now I posted my question under the bottle video^^ so here again: Can you print the buildings from resin without supports, or if not, are there pre-support files included? cheers!
@@nephilexfrost7202 Yeah I was an early viewer when there werent many people watching but watch less and less as time goes by that is part of the reason and like I get it as well but still it can be a bit much. Reminds me of the miniature game Fairy Meat about cannibalistic fairies fighting in a real life sized battle field (often featuring garden gnomes). Ever played that one?
I have seen a couple of people purchasing Moonstone stuff in MAnchester (UK), but I have never had a game myself. A bit taken by Deth Wizards at the moment. Maybe for Christmas?
I’m not as bad Jay, but I did buy Carnevale and WH Underworlds Hexbane hunters for the minis. Or I will pick up a new TTRPG that I will never play for the lore or setting.

Dude brush some white vinegar on the underside of that play mat and it should supple up some more/last longer
I don't always drop everything I'm doing for a video, but when I do it's EonsOfBattle
Yup. Watching this at work 😂😂😂
That is very true
@@carysage same
As everyone should!
I'm also watching this at work. I'm digging a basement right now.
Those faerie paint jobs look gorgeous 🤩
So glad to hear you're enjoying our game! 😁
Those be mothra wings
Even before he said anything I recognized them!
Oh I thought it was the bug from Ice Age 3. If you know you know
Damnit... I knew it was either monster flick or Kamen Rider. Mothra should have been the first place my brain went.
Jay: plays one game of Moonstone.
Also Jay: paints the best terrain I’ve ever seen to play Moonstone.

Everything about this video was awesome. Hope you get more games of Moonstone in, would love to hear more impressions of it!

I 2nd this lol.
The terrain is from the original FABLE videogame. Even if it wasn't intended that way.
Really nice one this it's so cool to see all the terrain your team comes up with its my favorite type of video you guys make. It would be neat to have a behind the scenes how you make the terrain video.
Im so happy to see some more cover of this great game!!!!! Made my terrain from Hagglethorn Hollow but im for sure getting yours as well!
I've got the Moonstone Shades yesterday and I must see, Moonstone mini's are the mini's I have most fun with when painting. Haven't played the game yet, but the painting alone is just awesome.
Love Moonstone. Got back to it a couple of weeks ago, and I never laughed as much playing a miniature game ! Great terrain, might get it !
This is one of the best videos you’ve done!! Absolutely love it!! It all turned out amazing, NEED more fantasy content asap!
Same here. I shifted from making Sci-fi terrain to print on my channel to do a medieval Mordheim heim terrain and it has been so much fun.
This feels like it should be a crossover with Rouge Hobbies and Louise's goblins.
TRUE
Putting the tape on the mat before cutting it was genius
He's said in a previous video that he used to have a job as a theater seamstress, I wonder if he learned this there.

I still haven’t finished painting my Kill Team box, and already Jay has me wanting to buy a new set of minis to paint.
The queen of the Fae’s wings look very reminiscent of Mothra’s wings, I’d love to see how you went about doing it as it came out awesome as always.
The painting does it all.. Great job. Wish I haed the patience to do it
Love that you’re covering moonstone!
I'm gonna have to give this a try. With Sylvaneth being my preferred AoS faction. These faeries and faun look fun. This could be a good game to get my partner into minitures.

Could also be used for Relicblade too!

8:50 mushroom porch = porcini surely 😅?
we got to @2:40 and my gf and I both cheered "It's MOTHRA!"
So happy to see more Fantasy themed terrain from you!
You should make little split-rail fence sections to create some barriers for that set.
Beautiful piece of work 💕💕
I love painting and playing moonstone, greetings from Greece
That terrain and the paint job look great. Moonstone was a temptation. But I have Blood Bowl and Relicblade that need painting first

Mothra wings?
That's what I see as well. The Queen of the Monsters has perfect wings for the Queen of the Fairies.
Who are these “most people” with this amazing power to see a model, purchase just the one model, take it home, and paint it before going out to buy another model? Sounds like myth to me.
Moonstone is absolutely brilliant, so much fun and the model details are insanely good! 👍🏽

Your STLs are just getting better and better.
The terrain looks awesome!
Save the extra(non poisonous) neoprene! Could be great to make area templates for scatter.
Yessssssssssssss! More Moonstone please! Such a fantastic game!
That is a very cool tabletop! Good job. Really like the clock!
Those moonstones minis have so much character!!
Looks interesting and liking the characters of Moonstone. The one game that keeps almost hooking me is Venetian weird fantasy skirmish game Carnevale which just looks so interesting with the factions I keep almost buying all I can because I can't decide.
Hagglethorn Hollow terrain from Printable Scenery would fit this very well. It's originally made by someone at Weta Workshop.
I LOVE Moonstone too - so glad to see one of my fave YT making content for it!! 🤓
Hey Nick and Jay. When can I get the purple and green Nemesis Sean dice? I want those.
I was lucky to run into some money half a year ago so I bought the complete collection and now I have the undead faction waiting to be assembled.
looks like a really fun change of scenery for hobbying!
This is amazing!! I have a giant collection for Moonstone (mostly painted) and I absolutely adore it as a skirmish game.

Great video, i really like seeing all these new games.
Moonstone rules! Has a sort of weird, wacky old Games Workshop lunacy I just love.

That Diana... now you HAVE to do a dark green lizardfolk of some sort with glowing light blue (or light pink) plates on the back.
Moonstone model's look fun to paint.
Is there anywhere to buy the actual physical printed buildings from this set?
I have been looking into Moonstone. Looks like it is a fun game. Love the terrain!
Thank you for all your information you are very talented
Would love to see more of those models :)
I love everything you did here, cheers!
I bought a heap of Moonstone only recent. It looks fun
We've just got the starter set and started on it. It's proved to be the gateway drug for the wife to start wargaming and hobbying.
I believe the wings are the ones the new Sanguinary guard were supposed to have?
Fantastic terrain! Speaking of FOMO, is the set limited? Or is it on your site forever? 🙈
Man, I thought I was the only one that saw one model, and HAD to have a complete force for it.
Building on mushrooms is really short sighted, as mushrooms only exist for a few days. Their main purpose is to drop spores and die, to serve the reproductive purpose of the mycelium underneath.
These are magical mushrooms, they live forever.

Ya itll fit that quit nicely. We chop it up so itll fit smaller resin printers nicely.
Diana has clearly been grinding the solar eclipse to get those wings
Are those builds printable with PLA printers or only resin?

new terrain looks great...totally stealing that roof shingle painting technique.
Was that a shout out to Magarathea and the whimsy game ?
Very cool looking fantasy game, it looks like something right out of a classic fairytale story book!
Haven’t played moonstone but the Leshvault faction looks interesting. Also Mothra?”
