Just a tip but those oil filters have been known to rattle loose if only done up hand tight. There is a set of cup filters to fit the filter by the cutouts around the base. Use this cup to undo & tighten up the filter.

Well done! Can you do the spark plug services? And changing the windshield water bottle? Mine is leaking and needs to be changed but can't get access to it. To scared to remove to much. Thanks!

Nice work! I have got a question, what is that transparent small tube/pipe which is suspended near the oil filter?

This is the drain pipe from the bracket that holds the fuel filter. Found this out on my resent job

Should have just unscrewed the filter and leave it drain for a few minutes before removing. Also,,, is it just me or does anyone prime a new filter with engine oil any more?

It’s a good point. I do on some occasions fill the filter.

After hearing how noisy your 2016 engine is I'll stop worrying about my 2lt 2016 😂 top job , is yours start stop? Is the oil the same for start stop as none ss ?

Yep they are quite noisy engines. Both my Edge and Kuga are stop/start. Used Comma in the Kuga and Petronas in the Edge. Both pretty good oils. I do change yearly, makes a difference.

@@StangsGarage had our water pump go last week , 66 plate with 30k so bit paranoid with noises at the min ! Ours is ment to be 2 year service intervals but I'd never leave the same oil in that long !

I've just had to get a new belly pan for our kuga , could you tell me which way around the red clips go into the holes to recive the screws ? They gave me a bag of fixings red clip nuts and some self tappers with washers on , do they push in from below or above ?

@@trev815 I think only the Edge is 2 yr intervals. Although I wouldn’t leave for 2. Best to gets done each year.

@@trev815 the red clips are a push fit into the subframe. I change them all the time but have to be careful not to overtighen otherwise is needs replacing.
