The last 10 years and especially the last 3 years of touring is getting attention to get nominated and invited to these shows and getting more eyes on them always great. So proud of all their success!
I Agree, the main point was to be there, be shown and get to as much people as possible, winning a Grammy or MTV Award is not big deal as used to be, now is more business than talent, even bad bunny won sometimes.
These awards shows are a platform for the two industries at play... the music industry (obviously) and the broader entertainment industry represented by the various mediums of interviews and exposure. The various moments they have had on MTV and the Grammys have shown them as talented but have also shown them to be well spoken, humble, and an extremly palatable interview. Now, if you are any corporation (ie Pepsi) or leading group or organization (ie Decididas) you want to put your recognition behind what reflects well on you as a supporter. The continued display by The Warning is graciousness and competence... makes them a solid safe bet for just about anything on the horizon.
I agree on all points guys, the band sounded amazing...Dany's vocals were so good. Like you said, they're on the radar now. The EMAs featured quite a bit of The Warning throughout the night. A fan posted all the times the camera was on them during some performances and also they were interviewed several times, very cool. Cheers guys.
Did you see the tears shed after their latin grammys performance? This is just the beginning like you said. So glad to be here early to witness it. Viva The Warning!
As Juanes (a huge deal in Latin music) said, the academy needs to continue (& increase) its support of rock music. Of course the Latin Grammys are focused on the Latin part but there was a plenty of pop, rap, hip-hop (even John BonJovi looking a little lost😂). But when rock makes its triumphant return, over all the evil forces lined against it, it will be The Warning in the vanguard. First thru the breach, flaming swords in hand! 😊
Before the Latin Grammy awards event there was a music producers showcase in Miami. The Warning appeared there as well and actually played their cover of "You Oughta Know". IDK if they did any other songs, but I have seen a clip of that.
They've mentioned in a couple interviews how phrasing is easier in English and that lines in Spanish tend to stretch out and are difficult to fit. They've definitely been making the most of their performances and red carpet appearances. Their fashion team has been doing a fantastic job with multiple outfits per event and anything that gets people asking who they are is great.
Agreed, Paul. I think they had a very successful week laying valuable groundwork for their future - they got seen/discovered by millions of people who'd never heard of them before.
The music industry does not quite know what to make of them. They look like typical young, attractive pop stars, but they are hard rockers who can actually sing and play musical instruments. They need a new category for them. A couple side notes: Their mother now has "Grammy nominated songwriter" on her resume. Also, Matt Bellamy's mustard yellow Manson guitar (a gift to Dany) made an appearance at the Latin Grammys.
I catched a wrong translation in the interview: The girls were talking about their outfit designer. They were saying that their designer is from Monterrey. Then Pau said: “Nosotras somos también regias”. It was translated as “We are also royals”. Although the word “regio” colud be translated to “royal”, what Pau said was that they are from Monterrey too. People from Monterrey are called “regiomontanos” but most people shorten the name to “regios”. I suppose that this is originated from dividing the city name, Monterrey, as Monte Rey, which translates into “King Mountain”… 🤔… Monterrey is a city surrounded by mountains, and Cerro de la Siilla it’s the city’s trademark… PS: I just speculate on the origin of the demonym. The city is not named after the mountains.
@@glennandadriansrocktalkThe guy that did the introduction of the Warning is from the band "Juanes" and he/they were also participants on the Metallica blacklist album and their cover was pretty good. I think listening to rock at the Latin Grammys means something in an industry flooded with other genres. It was a good showcase. In my opinion, the Warning is in the beginning of a cycle where rock will start to become a tendency again, and I agree I suspect the Grammys will remember this moment and how they gave minimal support to a band that is going to be big.
I got that same impression, that their dresses related to the nominated video "Qué Más Quieres". The press could have come up with the Greek Goddess interpretation because they truly looked the part.
Pau herself said in the interview that if you have seen the video for Que mas Quieres that you will understand the inspiration for their looks. I’m guessing the lady making the Greek Goddess references hasn’t seen the video. 😊

Hi Glenn and Adrian!…. Greek goddesses… Mexican Goddesses… or just goddesses! The Warning is much more appreciated in Europe, the US, Canada, and of course among the people (worldwide) that have good taste in music 🎶 🎵… such as rock!! ⚡️🤘🏼
Why are so many people saying that it doesn't matter that they weren't nominated for an American Grammy or win the Latin Grammy? In a very recent interview right before the American nomination announcements and Latin awards show, Dany specifically said that one of their big hopes was to win a Grammy. So, regardless of what and how we the fans think and feel about it, being nominated and winning certainly mattered a lot to THEM.
Keep in mind, nominations and winning are 2 separate accomplishments. Of course they want to win, that’s a given. I can’t understand why people don’t see the value in the nomination itself. It’s a huge accomplishment. I don’t get why even some fans can’t recognize that for what it is.
Wow they just won’t Ale talk I have seen a few interviews and they leave her just standing there looking beautiful while Pau and Dani does the whole interview even in their songs you never hear her back voice I think Pau turns her mic off.
