    I have watched countless videos and spent what seems like half of my life and a few rolls of masking tape trying to get my OMTECH 60w aligned correctly. I was so frustrated that i had all but given up and thought oh well that will do. Your video makes alignment so simple and i now have perfect alignment in less than 15 minutes. Can't thank you enough

    Excellent alignment vid. I had never considered bulking the tape up and using it's semi-transparency to verify alignment. Nice.

    Wow you are a lifesaver! I literally spent all of yesterday aligning my Omtech 55W and thought I had it really dialed in. Following your instructions, within 15 minutes found that it was close but not quite and had it completed shortly after. Thank you for sharing this technique that was shared with you!

    Awesome instruction with the layers of tape. That will make aligning the mirrors easier. Going to try today. I’m currently having an issue as you described with the machine not cutting well on the right side of my bed. I’ve found getting the alignment from mirror two on to mirror three difficult to stay on the mark when moving the head from the far left to the right. Hopefully this method will help out. Thanks for the info.

    i have a OMtech 55 watt. i have really messed up the alignment. I adjusted mirror 1 for no particular reason other than I assumed that's where to start without reading any instructions. I found your video and its not evening helping due to my stupidity of playing with the first mirror. I have adjusted mirrors 1 & 2 and align them but they are so off kilter to what the originally looked like that its impossible to adjust mirror 3. its so far off i cut through my air hose!! Is there a way I can go back to basics with mirror one which i am positive was the stat of my problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i am totally stuck and have spend another hour today and am back to square one. I am completely defeated. Thanks

      Start with the mirror closest to the laser tube then follow my instruction in the video mirror closest to the laser tube is mirror 1 the move to mirror 2 then 3

    mirror 1 to 2 spot on. mirror 2 to 3 if i move the mirrors close to each other and get it center then when its far away its off by alot. if it hits center while far away then it will no longer hit the same spot when i move it back close. Any recommendations?

    I’m very confused on my adjustment.
    If I have the tape close to mirror one I hit center, I adjust the nozzle to the front (left) mirror 2 and I hit center. Well when I move the laser to the far right by control, mirror 3. I am hitting high. I don’t know how I’m supposed to adjust mirror 2, to hit correctly to 3, without having to adjust mirror one back to center. Any help would be awesome

      move mirror 2 covered in tape close to mirror 1 by moving y axis all the way to the back of the machine and pulse it should hit about center then move y axis all the way to the front of machine as far away you can from mirror1 fire again the two dots that it crates on the tape should line up on top of each other if it is not lined up adjust mirror 1 until it does do not move to mirror 3 until mirror 1 is fully aligned to mirror 2. then repeat on the x axis between mirror 2 and 3. please watch the video again it spells this out better

      @@JaysToDoList so I have mirror one and 2 spot on. So if I move mirror 3 all the way by controller, then it’s hitting high. So can I adjust mirror 2 to where it hit mirror 3 accurately? Because once I adjust mirror 2 to hit mirror 3, then doesn’t that mess up where mirror one hits mirror 3?? Idk if that makes sense

    • @JaysToDoList
      @JaysToDoList  Год назад

      @@speedybeak mirror 1 is the one back by the laser tube and mirror 3 is the ono above the nozzle I am just making sure we are talking about the correct mirrors. Adjust mirror one so it aligns with mirror 2 close then far. Once the burn marks line up move to mirror 2 to 3 adjust mirror 2 near then far from 3 align the burn marks by adjusting mirror 2 that will not affect the adjustments on mirror 1

    hello, please i have a problem with mirror 2, at the start of axis it shoot into center of tape, but at the end of the axis it absolutely does not shot the mirror at all... and i dont know how to set it... im pretty desperate from it already

    • @JaysToDoList
      @JaysToDoList  Год назад

      Move mirror 3 away maybe 25% the distance from mirror 2 try again get it to about center then move it 100%away ir should hit the tape so you can align it perfect. Be careful that laser beam can burn you when you don't know where it is at

      @@JaysToDoList i sucessfully set laser beam into mirrors.. but.. the 2nd and 3rd mirrors pulse at the start of axis hits the center of mirror, but end of axis hits a little bit next to first pulse, but laser beam from nozzle is right now perfect... is that a problem ? i mean those mirrors, or is it ok ? differences are about 1-2 millimeters

    • @JaysToDoList
      @JaysToDoList  Год назад

      It will most likely work now but you should have them on top of each other. The 1mm difference could cause some power loss or make your Laser cut better on one side then the other

    It is very unhelpful when the mirrors are pretty much aligned to begin with. Start with something out of alignment and help work through the problems that might occur. I'm off by probably 5mm from left to right and no amount of micro adjustments is making any difference. This does not help me learn how to make those adjustments.
