- This one is for all those interested in purchasing or knowing the ownership costs of the Golf 7.5 R.
Honestly the main challenge with these cars at the moment is the purchase price, once one is able to afford that then you’re pretty much set, just get a car that’s still under warranty and service plan.

The issue of warranty and maintenance plan is a very tricky one. VW wanted me to pay R11 000 to sort out the aircon condenser in my polo GTI. It's a crazy story😁😁

Those tyres have seen better days mate. As for tyre noise, fit the new Michelin PS5 and road noise is a thing of the past. My car came from factory with Bridgestone and found those to be very noist in the cabin so fitted PS4's and problem solved.
my golf 7.5 GTI 2020 i paid 9k for maintenance plan up to 90000km or 3years so i am stil enjoying it, maintanance plan they help u with alot of things even battery when is dead they replace for you

This thing makes me go crazy man, the spec on this golf is the exact same one that I’d want to have as well, I’m not so crazy about the new golf 8R but this car in particular drives me nuts , if there’s one thing I love about VW is their dsg gearbox🥺🥺 anyways I’m yet to drive one as well, looks fun man

It all depends what kind of driving experience you’re into, the R always feels secure and strong, it’s slightly more powerful also, the TCR is lighter and sharper around turns…

Maybe 40-45k is a good salary if you want this car. If you earn 30k and half of it goes to the car, thats not good bruh.
@@siphelelekhankhanI couldn't agree more bro..I owned a 2016 7R briefly for about 7 months bro and my salary was way above 30k with only one child and not that much if black tax but the 25th of every month was the worse day of my life.. i couldn't even buy a t-shirt bro without having to think twice. I never ate out ..I hardly even drove the car because service costs and petrol was a night mare.full tank lasts you barely a week so that was like 5 k monthly.. installment was 11500.. insurance was 2800.. so the car literally costs you about 20k per month to run.. minimum..so with a 30 or 40 K salary..it's suicide and for the next 72 months you really won't be as happy as you think you would be ..I'd say a 70 k TAKE HOME salary should be your target in order to buy this car COMFORTABLY
The rule is ..your annual salary should be at least double the FINANCED price of the car..
So if the car under finance costs a total of 700k..then your annual salary should not be less than 1.5 Million Rands

Bro if that car is bordering on 70,000kms he must have at least replaced brake pads a few times and that can't be cheap on this car and is not covered under the service plan. Warranty is 3 years 120,000kms and a std service plan 5 years 90,000kms. So he may not have paid for his services but other than brake pads what else did he have to pay for if this car is not on a maintenance plan? This has probably been quite expensive to own this car 😞😓😩
The car is still on maintenance plan. I think I asked him about brakes and he told me they’re covered I’m not sure though, but I know some manufacturers do cover brake pads like on the new Audi A3

Audis come std with a 5 year 100,000km maintenance plan so everything is covered except fuel and tyres
