Thanks Hedieh. I'm very interested in exploring alternatives to solving for circular references.

Very interesting. Could you guys not do small 15 minute videos (like the way Kenny structured the free Gridlines course) which goes through a module or two at a time? And lays it out in a practical real life scenario/example

That’s a great comment. I will share with Professor Bodmer and we will work on it. Thanks again Kendall. You are great.

Just one thing Kendall, we don’t need to recreate all the modules that Professor Bodmer has already created. We as users we need to be able to make tweaks when needed. For that we need to understand how the code works and it’s a simple step by step method mimicking our Excel model: defining inputs( time based or constant), defining the output in the report and writing formulas in calculations. For this we can make videos with Ed and show you how you can do it yourself

@@FinancialModelDetective Sounds great, I am sure it will be useful to a lot of people! Just breaking it down into simple, easy to understand and short videos will be beneficial I think! Thanks for the contributions and leading the way for better standards and models!

This UDF function is hard. The session was so fast though on that day and I am still lost :) So basically UDF allows for running Monte Carlo, data tables and goal seeks with the project finance models, but the copy paste macro breaks down if we pair it with simulation or goal seek. What is the fundamental technical reason for this breakdown in ms excel.

Thanks for your comment. I know the method is not easy but doable. Your question calls for a second video this time showing the method in action and not just my bla bla bla …
