Thank you! I can’t take the credit for coming up with the idea though, I think I saw someone had done it in their video a long time ago and thought it was a great idea too because I always put pencils back in the wrong place!
Pamela's Passion for Pencils You can purchase them from Jacksons art ( www.jacksonsart.com/search/?q=Holbein+pencils) I think they do ship internationally which is easier (and probably cheaper) than getting them direct from Japan. Some sets may be available from Amazon but they take a long time to get to you as well.
Wow! You certainly have an excellent collection of coloured pencils. Five years worth. I look liked the system you created for keeping your pencils organized.
I love videos like this; so great to see what you have bought over the years, and which ones are your favourites! It is a minefield for people starting out as a pencil colourist; if money were no object we could all make a beeline for the most expensive pencil brands, but it is reassuring to see that the budget brands are certainly holding their own in your collection. I hanker after the Holbeins, but I love my Derwent Lightfast, I turn to them more than the Polychromos!
I totally agree! I’m very fortunate to have the pencils I have. I have yet to try the Derwent Lightfast, I wasn’t so keen on the Derwent procolour, too hard for me. How do the Lightfast compare with the procolour? Thanks for watching!
@@ColouringwithK The Procolour are certainly harder than I expected them to be when I first bought them. I was taken in by the claim that they were softer than the Artist range, which they are. But on toothier paper, not necessarily colouring books, they work like a dream. The Lightfast work much more to the feel of Polychromos pencils, but have the inimical colours well known in Derwent ranges. In fact I got a bit nerdy & investigated all Derwent's colour charts and the Lightfast range contains 40 colours found within their other pencil qualities. Frankly with Polys and Lightfast pencils I think I have a lovely range of high quality oil based pencils.
It’s just so I can find my pencils easier and saves time - have a quite a few cases to get the labels on yet though! As long as your system works for you, that’s all that matters x
Hello K! You have such a lovely collection, it's a pleasure to watch. You made me want to purchase the 20 Derwent metallics, I have been thinking about for ages but I am not sure 'cause they are such particular pencils. Do you like them? Btw the Holbeins look adorable, my dream treat for someday! You really make them justice with your colorings 🌟 I own the Lyra Polycolor them all and absolutely love, as well as the Black Widow. Amazing Pencils. Thank you so much for sharing. I love this kind of videos. I wish you a nice Sunday and happy colorings! 🌸💗🍀
Thanks so much for watching and commenting Ariel! The Derwent metallics are really nice pencils and I do recommend them but I need to use them more. I totally agree that the Lyra and Black Widow are great pencils too. I hope you have a wonderful relaxing day and a productive week. Best wishes.
Your the first person that I have seen with the lyra groove slim pencils. They were one of my first sets and still use them in my books. Although some are starting to get really small. The verithin pencils are not soft like the premiers and don't break easily. It surprised me as I am heavy handed and I have yet to break one.
I have the Luminance and they are okay but I enjoy using others more such as Holbein, Pablos, Polys and even the new Creyart pencils I recently got are beautiful to work with. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Love your assortment of pencils. The posca pen idea is brilliant, I always ha e trouble placing my pencils back in order. Might borrow that idea. :D Did you use the x-fine bullet nib posca to write in the numbers?
Those 2 sets are my favourite pencils. This is because they contain some really dark shades in blues, greens and browns, for example. I also really like how they lay down and blend.
I bought the 50 pastel set first and then the 100. In the 100 set there are some of the pastels, I think about 26 or thereabouts. I made up my set to 150 by buying the remaining Holbein open stock from Jackson’s art. You should be able to get a chart of the colours for the different Holbein sets online so you can see which ones are repeated in the 100 set.
@@ColouringwithK Ah, OK. I had a look on Amazon but couldn’t see any that looked the same as yours so perhaps they have changed the design. Were they quite cheap?
Inabeler alert- Not as soft but just as amazing IMO if you get a chance to buy the Muji brand pencil - Coleen and Bosner (purchased in Germany from the Bosner art shop) all budget brand but well worth $
I have one pencil case that I take with me on holidays but the rest of my sets I like to keep them in pencil cases rather than in tins, it’s just easier for me to use that way!
I've had the same luck with the Coloursoft breaking, and I only have the skin tone set. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Thanks for the show and tell!
Very Nice pencil collection! I think colored pencils look so pretty in there cases. 😁😁 Thanks for the video.
I think so too! Thanks so much for watching Pamela!
OMG!! What a clever idea to write with the number of the pencil in white posca!! BRILLIANT!!
Thank you! I can’t take the credit for coming up with the idea though, I think I saw someone had done it in their video a long time ago and thought it was a great idea too because I always put pencils back in the wrong place!
You have a wonderful collection of colored pencils!! I really enjoyed which sets you have and how you organize them. Thank you so much for sharing!!
Thank you so much Lovella! Best wishes
I simply cannot believe that more people haven't commented on how smart this is ❣️
I have quite a few pencil cases I need to do this on yet but once done it’s really useful!
Always love seeing other peoples collections so I don't feel like the only one with a collection problem :)
Aww, yes I definitely have a collection problem! Thanks for watching.
I sew, knit and spin so I have quite a few collections….
I love your pencil collection. The only other pencils I want to get are the Holbeins but it will be a while.
Thanks for watching Pamela! The Holbeins are gorgeous, when you eventually get them, you will love them!
@@ColouringwithK I am in the US so not even sure how to get them! Haha!

Sooooooo many pencils! Awesome xx
I know, and just recently purchased the Black Widow Monarchs too! I’m very blessed to have them all. Thanks for watching Kirsty! x

O.O heaven 🤩🤩🤩🤩 I think I love buying colored pencils more than using them 😂
🙂 Thanks for watching!
I love the idea of writing down the number of each pencil in white so that you know where they go once you’re done using them. Thank you! 👏🏻
Yes, it really helps but then I can’t use that case for another set of pencils so that’s the downside. Thanks for watching!
@@ColouringwithK That idea hit me right after I posted the comment 🤷🏻♀️
Great collection! I can’t wait to build mine up. I just bought the schpirerr farben 96 as my first set.
Thanks for watching! I hope you have lots of fun with your new pencils

What a beautiful collection 🥰

Lovley collection I have my prismacolour in same case
Thanks Debbie!
You have more than me. A lot more. Somehow makes me feel better about my art supplies shopping habits, lol. I’ve been eying the Luminance 76.... ouch

I used the PC-1M and the PC1MR but got better results with the PC-1M which I think is the 0.7mm so not the ultra fine one. Hope that helps!
@@ColouringwithK this helps so much. Thank you 😁
Succes la colorat

Have you used the Derwent lightfast pencils, also the caran D’Ache luminance, how are they ? You didn’t really give your opinion on those x

Thank you 🤗
Love your video
Thanks so much!
Hello, Can I ask you where did you get the faber castel triangle once? I could only buy 36 in uk.
Do you mean the black edition ones? I think the maximum size set they come in is 36.
Where did you get the colour storage box? I really want to buy it
I think it was from Amazon
How many pastels come in the Holbein 100 set. I also have the 50 pastels and was thinking about the 100 set.

Caran D’Ache luminance are very soft and pigmented
They are very pigmented pencils, I agree.
That's a staggering number of colored pencils. Have you ever calculated what you have spent on pencils and books?
Oh, I’m too scared to do that because I know it will be an obscene amount!!
@@ColouringwithK LOL...(:
Whee did you get the Stabilo pencils from?
I think I got them from Amazon a few years ago
