It's all in the preparation just like every job isn't it and pays off when done right, you have made a great job of that subbase and carting it through the customer's house couldn't have been easy, we did 36 Square meters last October for a customer and that composite deck board's weight a ton 😩 looking forward to tomorrow's progress and hope your little one was ok after the hospital visit. Regards Rob.

Is there any reason why you can't use these joists with timber decking?

None whatsoever!! In fact after using the composite joists I’d rather use pressure treated wood!! Lol

@TheHomeRenovationExperts why would you prefer wood for the substructure? Cost? Ease? How's the decking after a year? Any warping?

@@iwantthemoonback4198 no warping but as for using the stuff, wood is a lot easier and a lot more cost effective. I’d be tempted to use plastics posts in post Crete for the verticals in the ground and then 4 x 2 for the floating sub structure. It’ll never rot as none of it is in contact with the floor but tonnes easier!! 😆👊

How is it holding up a year later?

That guttering pipe going right across would drive me crazy. Shame it was done that way

Yeah, it was an intriguing way it was run, I’d have changed it but client was happy with it 🤷
