I spent hours as a refrigeration apprentice cutting Uni-Strut by hand with a hacksaw before we got a chop saw. The chop saw was extremely cumbersome this is a true technological advancement!

Fantastic tool that no mortal electrician will ever use. Secret millionaires only need apply. Yes for us less well off electricians the good old Makita Chop saw will still be the favoured option and the humble apprentice will still have to use the hacksaw with the blunt blade over the edge of a broken pallet. 😁🐔🤡

    Screwfix 507HG
A 25 quid, 165mm, multi material blade in a cordless circular saw.
use it with a speedsquare and it gently nibbles it's way through Uni like a. . . you know the rest.
Give it a shot if you's like, do a vid on it?

    • @darylsavage119

Loud as fuck, kills your circular saw, lucky to get 20 cuts before blade is fucked.
There's a reason true metal cut circular saws are 150mm and blades for them cost a fortune
