I really like the Nissan but the battery is so tiny for many uses. Should be great with the 40kWh and truly useful if it ever gets a 60kWh battery. Great review Bjørn, thanks!
i had an eNV200 for 3 years and sold it against a NV200 Diesel. first there was complain in the family about range and charging times and now that we have 900km range they complain about manual gear. the great thing is that you can buy the NV200 with 2nd airco in the back. the NV200 was voted for "van of the year". thats why its so good. small outside, big inside. fall 2018 i will trade the Diesel against the 40kWh eNV200 with the lack of the 2nd airco missing.
I saw one of these near my work, it was a NHS one for delivery of medical parcels etc. it was the cargo one not the 7 seat one! I only relieved it was the electric van when I saw the charging door shape on the front bonnet with the Nissan badge? Plus it was making no sound as it pulled up with no tail pipe. Looked nice van. Thanks for the review.. Let's hope Nissan do more versions with big battery packs soon?
Seems like repairmen and tradesmen could make it part of the deal that they plug in wherever they're working while they're working. Even if it's only a Schuko it should help reduce trips to charge stations. (Another thing not possible with ICE - fueling at every stop.)
Very cool stuff, thank you for showing us this electric van. I wasn't aware of any Electric vans out there. I'm interested in an Tesla van in the far future but this might be really cool for in the mean time.
Nice review, but you missed showing us the entertainment system - it looks like there was built in navigation. If you still have the car, could you show us? Also, it is interesting the front doors have a cut out on both sides.
I used one of the normal gas powered NV200s as an electrician. It was a good small van but it sucked as a daily driver. You think the EV is sparsely optioned, the GV is way worse. I have knew about the EV version since back then and would have taken it any day.
You should do a mini-review of the Renault Kangoo too - maybe the Maxi version since you touched on the e-nv200 maybe being on the small side for some. The Renaults have better range too, and the price doesn't seem that much higher (unless there's some battery leasing going on there).
Once Nissan puts the new 2018 40kWh into this truck, it would make for a killer city-based work van with cheap operating costs. Yes the insides are cheap & hollow, but that is the beautiful thing when rough tools & cargo wreck the cloth & leather in the back banging around.
Bjorn! Now seriously? How is an env-200 the average size of a pizza van? How rich is Norway? In Ireland, every pizza delivery is an old Toyota Yaris... Like Beetle Taxis in Mexico and Brazil. If you see one alone during the day, they're just another member of the road hazard family, but at night when they roam together, they're like a swarm of viscous animals.
toyotaprius79 All pizzas are delivered in Limousines here in Norway. Jokes aside, most pizza cars here are also Yaris sized. Domino's Pizza here in Norway is actually using only Renault Zoes in their fleet, they are dirt cheap to operate compared to the fossil counterparts, and they get a lot of tax exemptions as well. They can even drive in the bus lane for super-speed green deliveries
Oh yes... The one thing I forgot about. I hope you can excuse me, I live in a country that's advanced enough to begin accepting hybrids. If you were a company owner, you would have Zero road tax and skimpy road worthiness regulations for any old, shitty diesel van (not cars) with no incentive at all for electric alternatives.
They could sell a lot of these in the EV vans in the US if they would just offer them. Nissan, are you listening? They should just insulate the wall between the front cabin and the back, though I would pay to insulate it myself if I had to.
5:30 Vehicle-to-Grid: Can you test it using some Work tools (drill...) or microwave oven... 10:00 e-NV 200 Evalia 7 seats: Can you test it with 5 kids and then 5 adults in the back?
Fancy a Bev Mate? I travel very much from Italy to Poland, because I transport packages. It's about 2000 km and it would be so annoying to stop every 100 km.
No leather. 4 door van can tow 460 kg, 5 door 430 kg, 5 seater 140 kg, 7 seater 0 kg. Seat and steering wheel heaters only available on highest spec version. I tried this one in winter-ish conditions (0-1°C, fog, 50 km/h average), i did 120 km with no load. 40 kWh should be able to make 200 km in same conditions, and 60 kWh 300 km. Hopefully with 3-phase support. e-NV400 with 100 kWh, maybe, one day...
Your channel has changed my opinion on electric cars. I am honestly excited about the future and I would like to own an electric car now actually.
Our 2017 Tekna Leaf also heats the steering wheel when we preheat, it is truly a great feature!

They can also quick charge while having a break. The cost of that counts as expenses and will lower the profit and therefore the tax.

Someday when you have children you will have to stop every 10 minutes for potty breaks
Or he won't travel at all.

Yes, I'm looking forward to testing the new version. It's going to be heaven compared to this one.
Never seen one in Canada. awesome van

toyotaprius79 to pizza Company in drammen norway use kia soul ev :)
In Paris they use scooters.
In poland its whatever cheap car they can buy that runs on LPG. Mostly Fiat Unos for years - now Panda replaced those
Hello,
i hope you also plan to test new version of Nissan Leaf. ;)
yes
Hi from England
Do you know which models come with the Winter Pack or do you have to pay extra for that feature?
Tak
Stay safe and happy 😉🇬🇧
E-nv200 40kwh seems to be equipped with type 1
Do You mean that the film will come tomorrow? That would be two Nissan weeks!
the similarity between bjorn and jurgen: crack !
If only it had a 100kWh pack...
oisiaa aannd 130kw motors from model s p100d
What country is this in, to have a left hand drive?
Can you charge another car with it? Could be very handy.
What year is your one? Mine (UK spec) has battery cooling but I've never seen a menu option for it, also your temp gauge looks different.
They could sell a lot of these in the EV vans in the US if they would just offer them. Nissan, are you listening? They should just insulate the wall between the front cabin and the back, though I would pay to insulate it myself if I had to.
Gif Bolt then you can haz NV200.
Merci. From France Épernay.

10:00 e-NV 200 Evalia 7 seats: Can you test it with 5 kids and then 5 adults in the back?
You need some hardware for V2G to work.
Would you recommend to buy an old one Model S wich is very cheap?
The range it's a problem for me. I can't charge every 100 km. I think that a 500 km range version would be good for me.
Will get there, but for now this will cover the daily need for probably more than 70% of the market.
500 km = 100 kWh battery, not gonna happen.
Sebek Sebek I'm a taxi driver and I don't cover more than 200km a day what do you do for a living that you need that kind of range?
Fancy a Bev Mate? I travel very much from Italy to Poland, because I transport packages. It's about 2000 km and it would be so annoying to stop every 100 km.
Sebek Sebek its cheaper and faster to take a flight for just one parcel there is DHL for parcels ;)
yeah
40kWh version might be suitable for Bjorn's Mom to replace her fossil Transporter. 😎
is this the one with 40kWh battery?
24 kWh
This could be great car if it had a towing hook and a larger battery pack

Awesome review dude!
To be honest...I never even knew this car existed! Pretty bad given the name of my channel! XD hahaha
Am i the only one who want the long version ? . Btw sorry for my english i'm french ^^
hi sorry for english
Only this one is not available as long version, no idea why.
No need to apologize
Well literally you have almost been to Hell and back - just a little further on E6 and it would have been true 😜
That's what I was referring to, yes :)
As mini van
Here before a thousand views😁
lm a plumber, gas engineer l drive from 100 to 200 km a day. And l gotta be quick to get there. its useless for me and cost a lot, no thanks.
It might not work for you. But it works for a lot of people in Oslo already.
fossil version haha
