Nice saxes all over that store. I be like a kid loose in a candy store in there. I’m fortunate enough to have a Yamaha custom Z alto and a used yana I bought used which sounds great. I normally gig on a Yamaha 62 Bari which I have now for over 20 years. Nice presentation guys. Rock on.
That was my exact choice.. The Yani silver tenor. It had that deep rich overtone and a distinctive old-timey sound I really liked out of all. I'm sure its a gem to play too
Probably need a performance space, or an agreement with a local pub to film/play there on a slow night (jam/open mike night), you could film before and during, and repeat customers could have the option play new horns to a small crowd, out of all the shops I've been to, that would be the one thing i would wish for. Kind of similar to what Cannonball sax was doing, but for customers?
And after you've paid your £11k... which gig are you going to take that to? Really! I daren't drive about with my MK VI's these days. And after our singer kicked my $8000 Tenor over at rehearsal, it's better to go cheaper guys. My loudest sax looks very similar to yours, but only cost me £1600 and has more on stage than my Selmers. Crazy, yes, I know. Just remind anyone dismissing a Yamaha... "Will You?" was played on one 🎶🎷🦆💨
@krulwurld1791 Luckily my kicked over sax was all OK, but my heart skipped a heavy beat! I'm a firm believer in trying out saxes, as on occasion you can find a gem which surprises you. I started on YTS62R and YAS62R for build quality, but traded them in for MK VI's as soon as I could find one... in those days pre-tinternet, when it took a lot of searching to find one. If you find the sax which is "you", always put down a deposit for it there and then. You can always find ways to pay for it later. But if you don't put a deposit on the counter and say you'll be back the next week, it'll have been sold in the meantime. So speaketh the voice of experience as I missed out on an old King which was the loudest beast on earth ✊😭✊ ❌🎷Lesson learned!!!
Best saxophone store by far! Their customer service is top notch!
Thank you Marko!! Hope be of service to you again soon! - Jamie
Absolutely, it’s amazing!
Awesome looking sax’s. I would go home with any one of them or even all of them. That Selmer brushed finished one looked amazing.

Surely some little church wouldn't be expensive to film in.
What about Cannonball? Or at least Nexus... Because these priced like a car horns look a bit crappy to me... Love your reviews though.
