  • How to design a duct system. In this video we'll be learning how to size and design a ductwork for efficiency. Includes design reference from ASHRAE Application Handbook, SMACNA Duct Design Book with worked example from a practical High Rise Building Design for your clear understanding.
    I explained the concept of duct designing for Fresh Air Handling Units (FAHU) Ducts, Fan Coil Units (FCU) Ducts, Staircase Pressurization Ducts and Ventilation Ducts.
    Also, I explained how I select the design values based on my experience complying to the ASHRAE Application Handbook, SMACNA Duct Design Book technical parameters like Maximum Friction loss value, maximum velocity and Noise Criteria.

    Well explained with Practical design issues like NC Value & how to design using other parameters. Most of the time i see some people show only the carrier handbook low velocity table and finalize this is duct design, some time i see 0.08in/100ft they take , but i am confused why it is correct or not correct. but 1st time i realize in your video, you give all the details with proper backups, really i believe this is one of the best video related to Duct design

      Yes because NC consideration is important in the duct design since most of the projects needs acoustic analysis nowadays so it is better to consider properly at the time of design
