Просмотров 4272 месяца назад
In this video, I have explained the Chilled Water Flow Rate Calculation in detail. Chilled water systems can be categorized into open loop and closed loop configurations, and the considerations for GPM (gallons per minute) differ between the two. For instance, in closed loop systems, the flow rate is often calculated based on values like 1 TR = 1.5 GPM or 2.4 GPM, whereas in open loop systems, ...

Why are we not considering door open at exit ?
Yes similar to staircase Pressurization, we should apply Q=A x V to find out the door opening also. In staircase,we consider 2 or 3 doors but in lift we should consider 1 no door
🎉🎉Good and very clear explanation
can i get excel sheet ,please
@AbdulrahamanAl-Mustafa yes pls send a Hi to nagarajan62392@gmail.com. I will share quickly
Excellent and simplified explanation. Can you please teach how to calculate esp for paryamidial transion as there are 2 angles ?
Great Job and thanks for sharing your respectful knowledge withothers, but still we have just a concern about the weather temperature if it exceeds the 34 degrees (for example in qatar temperature at summer time is reaching 48 to 50 degress and more), so how the FAHU will cool the air. thks brother
Thank you for your support brother. Its very simple. If you see the psychrometric chart for 46 deg c db/30deg c wb humidity ratio and 34/32 deg c humidity ratio, u can see high value in 34/32 not in 46/30 (46/30 is used for qatar unit selection as per QCS section 22). So we select the FAHU with worst condition so it will perform even the temperature reaches high. Here main concern is humidity ratio
Very good
Very good video. Please upload the plumping pump system videos

Hi, It was really informative. If we are using a duct or shaft for air supply, could you please tell me on how do we select the minimum corss sectional area / shaft size for air supply? Many thanks
We will make sure aspect ratio for duct is not exceeding 4:1. duct sizes + insulations and supports clearance so considering all we can decide our minimum requirements. Since we have the options to adjust duct width and height, we can coordinate with architects engineer to provide the size
There is no particular rule to keep the size of the shaft for our system but we need to make sure the accessibility
What will be my minimum pressure in case my expansion tank is placed on the roof?
Video time 9:14 I mentioned minimum pressure value for the roof arrangement
1.5 bar

Hi, Can you pl. compare Chartered Engineer-India; Professional Engineer-PE & Chartered Engineer-UK?
@fariesmech chartered Engineer india adds professional credibility but may not have as much global recognition as UK or other international charters.
Achieving Chartered Engineer (India) is relatively straightforward due to less stringent assessment requirements. In contrast, Chartered Engineer (UK) involves extensive documentation, structured training, and formal assessment.
the Chartered Engineer (UK) is more challenging to achieve and thus carries more international recognition and prestige compare with CEng India
Once u become chartered engineer UK, you are registered with engineering Council UK so u can do professional engineer easily which has good value compare with chartered engineer india which has no value (outside india) other than india
Thank you @mepworld3385
Good explanation... Thankyou...
In my project while testing fire pump , we used fire hose reel to test the sequence of operation of fire pump but when we open the full valve of fire hose cabinet first jockey start and diesel pump started and electric pump didn’t start . Can u please advise
Have one clarification, you mentioned A0/A1 then it should be 0.09/0.1125 which is equal to 0.8 right? For the first reducer
Yes correct
Explained in a detailed way thank u brother 🎉
I'm happy to hear you found it useful, stay tuned for more videos!
Where to use class 1,2,3 standpipe system.
@vipintiwari7988 selection of Firefighting can be done based on IBC or NFPA
For example some countries like Saudi follow IBC . In IBC we need to refer chapter 3 and 9
Sir Can u share ppt for study and understanding
Pls send a hi to my mail id nagarajan62392@gmail.com
Very informative and the way of teaching the very best ..
Well explained.Anna please make a video about types of Duct support, Standards to follow Duct support distance and pipe support.
good explanation brother
Super class👍
please provide friction loss table and source
Can u send a Hi to nagarajan62392@gmail.com
So I can share the table
PLEASE provide the the data which is required in calculation or source from where we can download
sir please tell me about death zone - if death zone created what to do. Can we use sprinkler separation distance decrease as 4.6 to 3 mtr. please give actual experience in this filed what to do.
Actually it depends on shape of the area also like rectangular or irregular shape buildings because value for both are not same
Normally for light hazard 4 x 4, ordinary hazard 3.4 x 3 I follow instead of going to the maximum allowable distance. It will avoid bigger death zones in-between the sprinklers
can this expansion tank used in fire pump room?
This proposal is only for chilled water room expansion tank

The exemption to this is for hoistways that are enclosed, noncombustible, and do not contain combustible hydraulic fluid. Means hydraulic lift shaft required sprinkler but overhead traction shaft does not require sprinkler.
Exactly
This applies to panel flooding or only room flooding system.
21:33 door force
Yes what is the doubt?
Hi, great video! Thank you for this. I noted the time for my reference to easily find the door force calculation
@yeehawongi4920 oh OK
Where did you find the noise criteria table, I looked for it in ashrae fundamentals and i didnt find it
U can find the NC value in 2007 ASHRAE Applications Handbook, Chapter 42, clause 47.2 Acoustical Design of HVAC systems, Table no.42
Same is available in AHRI Standard 885-2008, Table 15
its will applicable in India?
NBC we should consider for india I hope
Not all formulas will apply in India but parameters are considered as per Indian guidelines
Hello Sir! Explain me, A VAV has a specification of 90 (FA)-400(Treated recirculated Air) CFM as you mentioned above example. Doubt: Whether this fresh air introducing via a separate VAV inlet, And is it treated or directly from the Outside. If there are different case scenario please explain that too

sir very good content, please post on horizontal standpipe

what if we have huge amount of air flow like 44000cfm and the velocity 400 fpm ???
appreciate you for watching the video. multiple options are available in this case. considering maximum values, we can select multiple louvers and connecting with common plenum and related duct. secondly if noise is a concern due to higher flow, acoustic air louver can also be installed, etc
@@mepworld3385 in ASHREA they use "face velocity" it mean when we use air volume divide face velocity we get actual louver size, isn't it ?
@@mepworld3385 defination frm ANSI AMCA 500-L "5.4.1.1 Face area velocity. Airflow through a louver divided by its face area."
Thank you my friend
Very good explanation. I was looking for an explanation like this for a long time.
Thank u😊
really loved your explanations, keep it up brother
Hi brother from where you got this input data for air properties. And please share this table too
Some countries have air properties in their local codes. For example, dubai air property for design we can get from dubai green building regulations and for qatar QCS. If we could not find the details in local codes then we can refer ASHRAE climatic data condition
