The exemption to this is for hoistways that are enclosed, noncombustible, and do not contain combustible hydraulic fluid. Means hydraulic lift shaft required sprinkler but overhead traction shaft does not require sprinkler.
This applies to panel flooding or only room flooding system.

U can find the NC value in 2007 ASHRAE Applications Handbook, Chapter 42, clause 47.2 Acoustical Design of HVAC systems, Table no.42
Same is available in AHRI Standard 885-2008, Table 15

Hello Sir! Explain me, A VAV has a specification of 90 (FA)-400(Treated recirculated Air) CFM as you mentioned above example. Doubt: Whether this fresh air introducing via a separate VAV inlet, And is it treated or directly from the Outside. If there are different case scenario please explain that too

what if we have huge amount of air flow like 44000cfm and the velocity 400 fpm ???
appreciate you for watching the video. multiple options are available in this case. considering maximum values, we can select multiple louvers and connecting with common plenum and related duct. secondly if noise is a concern due to higher flow, acoustic air louver can also be installed, etc
@@mepworld3385 in ASHREA they use "face velocity" it mean when we use air volume divide face velocity we get actual louver size, isn't it ?

Some countries have air properties in their local codes. For example, dubai air property for design we can get from dubai green building regulations and for qatar QCS. If we could not find the details in local codes then we can refer ASHRAE climatic data condition

How to connect internal building chilled water pipe with external under ground pre insulated chilled water pipe? Is there any expansion joint to be use?
It wil be flanges connection or valve wil be there in the ETS room entry. Valve wil come with dismantling join for maintenance purposes
@@mepworld3385 actually we don't have ETS room in my project. The chilled water pipe directly connected to Qatar Cool... My consultant commented on adding an expansion joint between external & internal chilled water pipe. So I need to clarify whats type of expansion joint we have to use it's same as fire fighting expansion joint or something else?

When I submit the report in qatar civil defense, I have considered only the door, windows leakage with number of doors open. Since the stair walls are fire rated, water leakage proof I have not considered even walls also. But in UAE Calculation, I additionally add walls only.
One more request: please create a video on equipment selection, such as for a Fresh Air Handling Unit (FAHU). For example, if we need to select a FAHU for a G + 2P + floor building, what steps should we take? Should we calculate the fresh air requirements for all the floors and then add some safety factors to determine the required CFM? Or should we simply discuss the details with our supplier, including the on-coil and off-coil temperatures, and let them suggest a suitable capacity for the FAHU unit based on our building's needs? Thank you!❤

Hi yes sure I will post a detailed video for ETS room. For district Cooling system, Pump is available in the secondary supply side (After heat Exchangers) to create the loop from heat Exchangers to buildings HVAC Units

@ALiRAZA-mg8bd yes, fine..if we have electric variable speed pump or variable speed driver then we add. Because in the event the variable speed driver fails, the rated speed can result in system over Pressurization.
In this project we did not use variable speed drivers

Suppose staircase have three door at a floor in that case will we consider the 3 door open at fire origin,exit ,either floor of fire origin that means 9 door at a time.

3 doors are there in the lobby or staircase?
Inside staircase each floor level only one exit door will come. I don't know which project u found 3 doors in one floor. Your question probably wrong 3 doors in one floor how it will come in staircase
I hope u are talking about lobby area.
Lobby has other Pressurization that is not related to staircase Pressurization
